First ever place I skied at was Sunlight mountain. Also some advice, if you stay at the colorado hotel in Glenwood, you can buy a ski package which reduces the prices.

Skied Arizona Snowbowl. Was lucky to have prime conditions and absolutely had a blast. Didn’t get to the top bowl though. It has a great deal of versatility. Definitely a worthwhile hill to experience.
12,000 ft at Apache? Sounds like if it gets icy up there it may get very dangerous.
They might be cheap but you forgot the price of the aeroplane ticket, coming from Europe to snowboard in the USA makes it a lot more expensive!
