    Here's a snowboarding instructor who agrees with all of this and appreciates you helping spread the info! Too many of my clients struggle with everything around getting to the mtn and getting food and equipment. It causes them to waste time in traffic, rental shop lines, etc. and I spend time helping them navigate that, rather than helping them actually ride. Thanks for providing this helpful planning advice, I'm sure it will improve a lot of folks experience.

    I’ve never once been skiing, but going in January and your videos have helped me so much. Honestly, this channel deserves a million subscribers with how well each video is produced. The amount of free knowledge you put out is incredible. Keep up the good work and epic content!

    Hey Peak Rankings: come to Japan and rank the mountains here. In some cases one can get a weekend trip to a mountain in Japan for the cost of a day pass to Vail.

    By the time i would have shuttled to and from Denver airport, the rental car was the same price. I know I need to buy gas but it offered better flexibility to different mountains on different days. The bus to A basin was going to be a pain. No direct ride from Frisco. I think there were at least one maybe two transfers. Yuck. The shuttle is way overpriced and it was a 3+ hour ride. It was really disappointing.

    Central Floridian here, bought a AWD SUV..
    Haven’t been out west, we go to Snowshoe WV. The internet is great for getting a 15 day weather forecast so you can go when it’s snowing: even if it doesn’t, Snowshoe’s snow making ability is great.
    I know I know, Park city is way better…. But, I want everyone in my party to know how to ski before we spend BIG BUCKS to go to Utah.
    Great video! I like all your videos!

    Living on the East coast you are better to book lodging when the snowpack is good on a non holiday weekend than you are to save money for the early bookings. That way you will have excellent conditions with a true experience of a lifetime.

    I have alway found the best deals through my ski club or the trips my local ski shop puts together. The prices generally can not be beat and it’s a lot of fun traveling with a like minded group.

    Consider skiing in Europe rather than West Coast if coming from East Coast! Airfare comparable to transcontinental. Everything else is substantially cheaper.

      Would definitely agree. Just paid 3 day tickets for a family of 5 for the same cost it would be for roughly 1 person in PC.

    Since they mentioned sleeping your car, why not simply move to a gateway? Get a job within "shouting" distance of the slopes? It's part of the reason I first lived in central VT, and then moved to the Denver metro.

      Nearly all of the CO and UT destinations have one within 30 minutes, as do Jackson Hole and the south shore Tahoe resorts! In Vermont, the go-tos are Sugarbush, which has Hostel Tevere, and the resorts near North Woodstock, NH, which has the Notch Hostel.

    The average lift price in Europe is between 40 and 55 dollars and nice lodging is much cheaper and in the pyrenees it s even cheaper

    • @mtadams2009
      @mtadams2009 Год назад

      This may be true but in the end going to Europe is far more expensive for the average American. My local ski shop and ski club runs trips to Europe and out west and on average the trips to Europe are over twice as much. I think it’s the airfare. My wife is going to Italy in a couple of weeks and the airfare alone is 1,200 dollars. The reason for me to ski Europe is not to save money but to see an new and beautiful country. I have never saved any money skiing in Europe it’s alway cost me more. That said it’s awesome and worth the extra money. Take care
