Hi Dave, a fun video of the mod wars 😂. Always nice to hear you and Paul sharing banter. I think people who do all of these mods must have too much time on their hands !!! I barely get time to ride, let alone search, buy and fit mods. Probably worth doing though, if you can afford the time, and once you've decided that the bike's a keeper. Seems pointless to me, doing a ton of mods on a bike that you sell on in a year, but a lot of people seem to do it anyway 🤷♂ Have fun you two ! Thanks for the video. Garry & Ruby
Morning Garry and Ruby, to much time on our hands, who knew! 😂😂 we’ve pretty much decided that the Hunters are our forever bikes, they have such a charm about them and will serve us into old age, hopefully! 🤭 I have a 16T sprocket to fit over the weekend so that levels that up, and I’ve got a set of LED indicators ready to fit so that should relegate Paul back to second place, the bloomin upstart! 😂 Hope you and Ruby are both well. @@MerciaMoto Hi Dave. Yes, if a bike is likely to be a keeper, you should spend some time and money making it just how you need it to be. In my case, I have two keepers but zero time to even think about modding them. Besides, both the Himalayan and the Meteor are close to perfect in standard trim. I can see me fitting a rortier silencer to Norman, just to get a bit more sound, but other than that, I think both bikes are spot on as they are. Looking forward to seeing what Paul does next ! I live in the Staffordshire moorlands so got some good photos up high on Ipstones edge of the Northern lights. Keep tempting myself with a Hunter I’ve a NC and an Himmy and struggling to justify it ! Also over on the west coast of Wales the other week on the Himmy. The roads over from Bala to Barmouth were sublime. Ride safe

Afternoon Peter, I am indeed I was out at 8am heading up to Snowdonia, Ryd Ddu in the shadow of Yr Wyddfa Racked up another 120 miles and met a lovely Welsh chap (Nigel) at a viewing point, he had just picked up a Himalayan (not the 450 model) and was, as we do under such circumstances , taking the long way home! 😀 We had a great chat. I’m am back here next week and spending Whitsun week here, praying for good weather 🤞🏻. Hope you’re having a great weekend! 👍🏻😀

Oh to be thirty again and know what I know now! 😂 The missus was fuming, three weeks earlier we were in Iceland, booked a boat trip to see the Northern Lights which was cancelled a few hours before we were due to depart and to add insult to injury she missed em here too! 😂😂😂😂 I’ve found myself in a bling off with my Hunter mate, it started out amicable and he’s trying to covertly sneak extras on now and claim we’re still equal! I’m itching to get out on that Jaffa so best get my finger out running in! Problem is I’m in Wales for the next 3 weekend running! 😃 cheers mate! 👍🏻
And just like that, here I am 😀 Paul’s a great ride planner. He planned all the rides we did on the Skye and Highlands tour, he always delivers some fantastic roads. The Beeline is pretty much the same concept as the Tripper it’s basically a case of following the direction the arrow is pointing. I’m starting to get over my frustrations I’ve had using it and started to reap the benefits. I’ve been using it over in Wales to plan my rides and it’s been ok. The real benefit to using it is the planning of the routes using the Beeline app where you can continuously tweak and refine the ride and then save it or sent it to others by email or WhatsApp as a gpx file. This is what Paul did for this ride. Thanks for watching and, I’m sticking with Thursday publishing for a while to see how things go 👍🏻🙂

@@MerciaMoto will do Dave. The upcoming mark 2 looks like it's going to be popular with the larger screen making it easier to see perhaps. Just ordered the higher performance camshaft - should arrive tomorrow. Won't fit it until the December annual service is due when I get to adjust the valves etc. but it'll be nice to see.
