I've got a 2008 Saturn Aura XR with the 3.6 rated at 252/251. Resonator delete and K&N box filter, 118k. It moves pretty good, just need to ditch the dumb 115mph limit, which can be easily beaten in 4th, with 2 more gears to go.

I own a '08 CTS Performance model. I bought it in Feb. 2014. Purchased used, with hiway milege [80 k], this car is just superb! Has the FE2 suspension with the 304 hp. D.I. V-6 & 6-speed auto stick. The attention to detail is great, build quality excellent, beautiful leather, comfortable enough for an all-day jaunt! VERY powerful already, I added a K&N cold-air induction kit; good for about 20-25 more horses. Handles BETTER than my Corvette!!! I thoroughly recommend buying one, if you can find a good one. Like any car, how it was treated will determine what you will get out of it. Good Luck!!!

I agree... Also, the new Lacrosse and the 2011 Regal are really nice too.

This is very informative in terms of the suspension tuning. One website claimed that the springs are all the same for all the FE Suspension choices and that the only difference was the tires. (??) By the same token, even if you got the FE1 version, you can always swap out for high-end aftermarket spings from H&R or someone.

Probably the best American car you can get.

Love, love, love this car. But I must say, the dash looks like a less curvy version of the Malibu's. It's attractive, but I see a resemblance, which is a bad thing since this is a premium car from a supposedly premium brand. I guess it's no worse than what you find between Lexus and Toyota, or Nissan and Infiniti though.

I would say so. People seem to think highly of them. I doubt it's any worse than a BMW or Mercedes for reliability. My mom's best friend had a new 2006/2007 CTS and she LOVED it and had nothing bad to say about it but unfortunately it was totaled in an accident a few years ago. She didn't see a stop sign and ran through the intersection and an suv hit the side of her car (40-ish mph) and she walked away without a scratch. After the accident she bought a new Buick Verano and is thinking about trading it in for a new Buick Encore. When I'm ready for a newer car in a few more years the CTS is at the top of my list for a luxury sedan. :-) Awesome cars.....

      Update:
I ended up buying a 2007 c230 Mercedes with 60k Miles. First week, i got the Check engine light lol. Turned out it was just a faulty sensor. Jeez, everything that was interior in that car was Plastic. Any whom, I wrecked it on a Xanax. Nd now i drive a 2004 Lexus Ls430. Bought it for reliability and luxury :) Gotta say. 290HP in this v8 ain't no joke!

I hope you have no problems with it. I've heard Lexus are EXTREMELY expensive to fix despite being a re-badged Toyota...... XD. That's the reason why we didn't buy one a few years ago

***** Really? I heard the complete opposite lol. Aren't Lexus american parts too? American parts are always cheap on Ebay. I stay away from Dealerships, they overcharge like a mother! I just look for Master Mechanics on Craigslist to do it for me. My way of saving $$! I hope my Lex runs for ever. .
