In 2023 they performed 94 live concerts in 25 countries. I went to three of them = Tokyo, Philly, Madrid. I ran around in a circle pit waving a towel in the air and I am 75 years old. Only BABYMETAL can make me do this.
Same for me. I'm 58. I just went to my first Babymetal concert in Toronto (only their third show ever in Canada). I drove 6 hours alone to attend the show and then drove back another 6 hours right after the show... alone. I waited 5 years for that chance. Only Babymetal can make me do this
Great first reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole.🦊You were absolutely right to smile and even laugh - that is what they do (they may make you cry now and then as well, they are very good at making us feel emotions when they want to). They keep that same energy up for the whole of every concert without a drop in the quality throughout the whole time. They are exhausting to watch, but by far the best entertainment of any kind that I've been lucky enough to find in decades. 'Gimme Chocolate' is one of their fun songs (they just want some chocolate but worry about their weight ... but it is chocolate, it would be so nice and they would be so happy, so can they just have a piece of chocolate please).🍫🍫🍫 It is not their best by a long way and would not be my recommendation for a first time seeing them as it can go either way and has even put a lot of people off ever watching them again, but it is their most viewed song and they still play it in most of their concerts (this video is 10 years old now, it was filmed in December 2013). It is great fun and it always gets a great reception from the crowd - and you wouldn't believe the mosh pits it starts, but you will struggle to find another song they've done that sounds quite like this one. This was the official video, so although it was filmed at a live show (Legend 1997 celebrating the lead singer's 16th birthday in December 2013, the other two girls were 14) the audio was taken from the studio recording ... shame as they sound better live. BABYMETAL were formed in 2010, the brainchild and passion project of their metalhead producer Kei Kobayashi who was inspired to try this mad idea of fusing metal with JPop hooks, melodies, aesthetics and vocals after seeing lead singer Su-metal with her previous group and being so impressed by her vocal talents and stage presence. He thought it might just inject some youth into and help rejuvenate the stagnant metal and rock music scene - as it was in Japan at that time. They were formed as a sub-unit of a JPop Idol group (called Sakura Gakuin - Cherry Blossom Academy) set up by the Amuse Talent Agency to coach and train about a dozen of the most talented young girls on their books in all aspects of entertainment with the aim of them choosing what they wanted to do as a career when they left school. Amuse were not impressed with the idea and only allowed Kobayashi his pet project because there was no financial risk - they provided no extra funding and assumed it would be a short lived (and failed) experiment that would end after the lead singer reached 15 and would graduate from the parent group and from school to continue/begin her singing career. Against all the odds and everybody's expectations they found an audience nobody knew would exist and started to gain popularity in their own right, so it was decided they should split from Sakura Gakuin to become an independent band in their own right after the lead singer turned 15 and would graduate - she was 15 in December 2012 and the split happened in 2013. When they started in 2010 the three members (Su-metal - lead vocalist, Yuimetal and Moametal - backing vocals, harmonies and in charge of hyping and involving the crowd through their choreo) were aged 12, 11 and 11. We have watched them grow up and become one of the very best live acts on the planet. Yuimetal last performed in October 2017 and was absent for 12 months for health reasons until she announced she was still not fully recovered and would be leaving the band. Su and Moa continued as a duo for 4 or 5 years supported from 2019 by 3 dancers who would take turns dancing in the third spot until 1st April 2023 when one of those dancers, Momoko, was finally revealed as the new official third member (she is now known as Momometal). BABYMETAL are like nothing you will have seen or heard before, they brought a fusion of great metal instrumentals coupled with JPop hooks, melodies and aesthetics to create their very own sub-genre (which is why they are called BABYMETAL - it signifies that they invented their own sub-genre, a new style of metal ... it is also a bit of a Japanese pun with BABYMETAL and heavy metal sounding and being written almost identically) and they have continued to develop and evolve from those beginnings. They don't limit themselves to any one main style or genre and you won't be able to pigeonhole or put them in any one box like you can with virtually every other band in the world, they are one of a kind and they invented their own genre and style that nobody has been able to copy successfully (some have tried, none came close) including bringing choreographed dancing to metal (but not as you might know it from pop acts where it is nearly always used just to fill the stage or give you almost naked girls (and boys) to look at to take your mind off often bland music). BABYMETAL's choreo helps with interpreting the song - a lyric or the meaning etc, but it is designed to involve and lead the crowd, to give them their cues when to jump, shout, pump their fists, chant and so on. BABYMETAL are complete masters of crowd control and crowd involvement. They are also the biggest and most successful Japanese band there has ever been internationally - first Japanese band to play their own solo show at Wembley Arena in 2016, sold out the Tokyo Dome (55,000 people) two nights running, also 2016, first Asian (not just Japanese) band to have an album at number 1 in the US Billboard Hard Rock charts - that was 2019. To see them at one of their arena shows in Japan you have to enter a lottery to win the chance to buy tickets. Last year they played 94 concerts all round the world (including Wembley Arena as special guests of Sabaton and later in the year their own 3 headline shows in Camden and Wolverhampton as part of the European leg). They are supported in live shows by the Kami Band - some of Japan's very best session musicians, each one of them a world class instrumentalist. They first appeared in October 2012 and became the full time support for all live shows from March 2014. You didn't see them in this video (the guys at the back in skeleton suits were called Babybones and they were not playing the instruments, there would have been no point in the camera focusing on them ... early on BABYMETAL did not have the funding for a live band so the instrumentals were pre-recorded and played on the backing track). At this show the Kami Band came on for the last 5 songs - it was the last time they played only the encores. In 2019 the Kami Band of the West (American musicians) were introduced and they have been supporting BABYMETAL on their more extended foreign tours since then. They have nearly 70 songs now, every one of them is different from the last. They have songs in virtually every metal genre but will mix in other musical styles and genres with the metal, often when you least expect it. Some songs lean towards their pop roots others are just good hard metal and they do everything in between - so if you don't like one song no problem - try another, the chances are you'll love it. You will get a lot of good recommendations and suggestions for more songs - go with any of them, you've seen 'Gimme Chocolate' and liked it so can't go wrong, but remember - although the official videos are all good and worth seeing, BABYMETAL are a live performance act - that is where you will always see - and hear - them at their very best. Try their very first performance in the UK - at Sonisphere 2014, aged 16 and only just 15, moved with just a couple of months notice to the main stage after the 'Gimme Chocolate' video went viral but mostly unknown - and just 25 minutes to win over a potentially hostile crowd of over 50,000 UK metalheads. Last song of the 5 they played was 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' (Bullying, No More, Forever) ... see and hear at the end what the crowd thought. Hope you enjoyed your party.
Hi, fellow Brit here - I was introduced to you both via those RUclips algorithms - firstly Nightwish then Lovebites and now the sublime Babymetal. However, a lot of reactors pick this first - and in my own personal opinion, this doesn't do them justice. I've seen them here in London 4 times and they are totally unique. They are simply backed by the most talented band in the world. I would suggest some solo songs by Su Metal and the band such as 'Rondo of Nightmare' including the band's intro - 'Akatsuki' , 'No Rain no Rainbow' and 'Amore'. I'm 56 and have been attending gigs for the last 40 years and have seen everyone from AC/DC to ZZ Top including Queen live at Wembley in 1986 - now obviously you shouldn't make any comparisons, but all I'll say is that you get an 'experience' with Babymetal not only a music concert! Got so much more to say but will stop for now! Best wishes to you both and I hope you enjoyed the party! 😊
Nice reaction. When she said give me ALL the chocolate, I knew she was going to like this song. I suggest just finding any song by them. But if you want to see more of their stage band checkout their festival appearances and any song that has with intro in the tittle for the video. They don't have the intro's on the albums. Outside of the music videos the only way to witness that is to go to their live shows. Thier live performance is their bread and butter. It's where they earned their stripes in the metal world. Enjoy the rest of the journey through the foxhole and into the Babymetal galaxy of music. SEE YOU.
Gimme Chocolate is a lot of fun to hear played live but Babymetal is so much more than just this song. There are basically two rules fur listening to Babymetal. Always watch their live performances and never think you can define them based on one or two songs. Every song is different and they will always surprise you so any song recommendation is good. I will suggest something off their newest album, The Other One, to give you a contrast of new Babymetal to old Babymetal. So maybe Divine Attack, or Monochrome.
@@jeffschreifels8651 you clearly read it just right. Consider what you offered at the front, and what they (the video owners) offered as their justification of THEIR selection presented here. It's on ur ability to understand the contrast. Either way, reflect before you "condemn" on what a majority considers adequate for those new to THEIR choice THEY MADE. (You come across as a toxic Rammstien/Tool/Korn/Tim McGraw/Metallica/CCR/Megadeth/Opeth/Lamb of God/Dream Theater/ Shadows Fall fan). My gawd, you know what u did. Own it and be silent.
@@DeusExMachina0000000 I have no idea what you are rambling about. You apparently lack basic reading comprehension. There is absolutely nothing I have said that condemns anyone or anything nor was there any intention of doing so. You are reading things into my words that are not there. I would advise you to learn how to read before making ridiculous toxic comments.
Give it time, rabbit hole is deep (and for many this song was their first experience with the Japan Metal scene when it blew up many years ago which meant it would hit harder).
When Metallica saw them live for the first time they said they were astonished by their awesomeness. All the major metal bands love them. Here are some suggestions 1. Headbanger Legend of 1997 2. Road of Resistance Live in Japan 3. Karate the official version 4. Pa Pa Ya feat F Hero 5. Metali the official version this features Tom Morello
Road of Resistance - Live in Japan from their channel, co-written with Herman Li of Dragonforce (I understand you are fans?). Super fun first reaction, look forward to more! Thanks!
Welcome to Baby Metal! This was my first reaction, exactly. Discovered them a few months ago and they're instant faves. The rest of the band shines in other videos. Bucket list show. Headbangeeeerrrrr!
1st time ever on the channel... And must say, his reaction is on point! 1st, enjoying the heavyness. Then shock and awe on the "Wa tatatatata" parts. When you think you've recovered from that, the catchy, pop-y chorus kicks in, and all of a sudden you realise ... it works!! Well... Welcome to the fox hole! Babymetal's been on the road for more than 10 years now. They started small, presenting in shopping mall's food courts, for example. They hit it big at Download Festival, back in 2014, if I'm not mistaken. They were booked for a side stage, to present to some 5k fans. Ended up moved to the main stage, facing more than triple of that! And, they were totally unknown! The rest is history, as they say. On a note on the lyrics: It's about wanting chocolate but being conscious about your weight. "Zukyun" and "Dokyun" are onomatopoeias for "poisonous" and "I like it", so it fits the theme. Gimme Chocolate is their most popular song on YT, but it isn't the most representative of their potential. "Road od Resistance - Live in Japan" would be a far better candidate. Oh, and they don't stick to just one genre of metal. Each song is totally different to the last one!! 🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻
Great first reaction! 🤘🦊🤘 Thank you for giving BABYMETAL a chance!!! BABYMETAL is a Japanese kawaii (cute) metal group (a metal subgenre that they created) that formed in 2010 when the 3 girls were 11-12 years old (yes, they were very young), and since then have performed with, toured with, or opened for Metallica, Korn, Sabaton, Bring Me The Horizon, Dragonforce, Guns N' Roses, Lady Gaga, Rob Halford of Judas Priest (there's a great youtube video of their performance with Rob at a metal award show), and Red Hot Chili Peppers (there is a youtube video of them performing Gimme Chocolate with RHCP, as well as with Korn, and DragonForce), to name a few of many. They have performed at large metal events/concerts in front of 65,000+ skeptical metalheads in Europe (Glastonbury, Download, Sonisphere, etc), US, and Asia. They are the first Japanese band to perform at Wembley arena in the UK. Also, 20+ awards have been given to them. They have 60+ songs and each one is different from the other, so I hope you give the other songs a try. By the way, they have some really great heavy songs too, and I hope you like guitar solos, as well as bass and drum solos, like I do, because they have them too. Also, they released a new amazing album last year and they just finished a world tour where they had many shows here in the US. They also recently released a new music video for their song called "Metali" that features Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello. 🤘🦊🤘
Always enjoy seeing a new reaction to Babymetal for the first time. Those looks on people's faces are great with the shock and awe of the what in the world factor. Gimme Chocolate is their most "famous" song as you can tell with the number of views the original video has, it went viral over 10 years ago on RUclips and pretty much introduced them to the world. If you did enjoy this performance then you are in for a long and entertaining ride down the "Fox Hole" if you do choose to see more from them. I'd recommend you keep watching their older stuff and go in chronological order, it's fun seeing how they evolve and grow over these 10+ years, they have 4 albums now of roughly 40+ songs so it's plenty to react to. I can tell you now, just like myself you will get all the BM fans coming to watch the videos, we really enjoy seeing new fans checking them out, #notacult. I like their newer music better as it sounds more mature, not as pop like but still very different and creative. They have some music videos for other songs but I'd HIGHLY recommend you always watch their live performances, their Japan shows are off the chart. I watch most live videos of them from a channel called "For the Fox God", I think they have english subtitles in most of them also. Next very popular original songs I'd say to see next are..........Megitsune, Headbanger, or Ijime, Dame, Zettai(IDZ). Hope to see you in the next BM video! 🦊🤘
Must see Babymetal songs: Headbanger (Live 1997) Megitsune Road of Resistance (Live Japan) Monochrome (both album/live and 1st Take) Rondo of Nightmare (Live Budokan) Welcome to the Foxhole!
Babymetal is awesome! Here are some of my personal favorites by them: 1. Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! 2. Night Night Burn 3. YAVA! 4. Iine! (It's a capital i not an L) 5. Awadama Fever
Welcome to the Foxhole and BabyMetal journey 🦊🤘🔥 I'm always glad to see more reactors getting into this amazing group. They were rocking out the whole World Tour 2023 and everyone were having a blast with the setlist, the new songs from latest album and the classic hits, especially GC! either you hate or love it, is a song with crazy amount of views and they don't wanna leave behind in any of their setlist. This song is having 10 Years anniversary and recently they released a GC! Challenge clip on social network, a lot of fans are having so much fun. Dance choreography and metal had never been seen before and they somehow managed to make it works creating their unique own genre called kawaii-metal, mixing Jpop and heavy metal along with many more sub genres and rhythms, you'll have so much fun going through this journey. This isn't actually live sound, is studio album version over a live performance which was partially live only on the vocals and choreography with backing track sound. They have their own band called Kami Band introduced later on that same show and after that Kami Band become regular at live performance but they're not official members, only these trio are the front women. BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old when started this and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal (kawaii means cute) mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms. Their name is a reference to a new genre and not related to their ages or "baby" faces, is a pun intended play words with "heavy-metal" which sounds similar to "baby-metal". They are: *SuMetal* lead vocalist, now 26. *MoaMetal* scream and dance, now 24. *YuiMetal* scream and dance, former member since 2018. *MomoMetal* scream and dance, she's 21 and is the new official member since April 1st last year. None of them are related. After 2018 you'll see backup dancers performing along with them but none of them are official members, they don't sing, only dance, but that status change recently like i said. This was in December 2013 at SuMetal 16th Birthday, the other girls had 14 yo and there was a big party you have seen nothing yet, wait for _"Babymetal Death"._ The backing band here are called "baby-bones", they don't actually play they're just mimicking air playing instrument, later on this same concert and after 2014 you'll see the girls performing with a real band called the Kami Band, more of them later. Some recommendations for next songs like: - _"Road Of Resistance"_ live in Japan official. - _Megitsune_ official MV. - _Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!_ live at this same live performance Legend 1997 in Makuhari Messe Japan when SuMetal is celebrating her birthday becoming a metal goddess queen and leaving her idol jpop form (you can find one at Gans Tomas channel under "Head Bangya" title). You have more than 60 songs to discover. Amuse their label is very hard to deal so if you want to avoid copyright blocked you have "Babymetal Reactor Resource" channel you'll get full original clips of their best live performance with watermarked logo safe to react, look for "Future Plans" vid, follow instructions and you'll get all of them, upload the one with the logo for us and you can watch without it, don't worry for us we already saw all of them. I'm gonna try to leave in my next comment where to get safe clips to react if YT allows me to do it. See you next time! 🦊🤘🍫
Here's the list of live performance clips usually safe to reacts without any filters so you won't need to rely on live compilations, there might be some exceptions: - Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! live at Legend 1997, SuMetal 16th Birthday in 2013, they got MV of this and is fun, but live is a blast. ruclips.net/video/LNFiDWJh2FA/видео.html - Akatsuki, live at Budokan 2014, this is a SuMetal solo. ruclips.net/video/g2372C5PJLM/видео.html - Megitsune, official MV is my first recommendation but is usually blocked if you don't put filters, so if you want live and safe to react, check it out Budokan 2014. ruclips.net/video/dU38CYkpBvI/видео.html - Akatsuki Unfinished Version, SuMetal solo again but with only a piano behind special performance at Legend 1997. ruclips.net/video/nwsinmxTxbo/видео.html - Babymetal Death, live at Legend 1997, this is the big finale, you're gonna blow your mind with this one. ruclips.net/video/jRc9dbgiBPI/видео.html - Catch Me If You Can with Kami Band intro live at Budokan 2014. ruclips.net/video/ng8U_j0gpLI/видео.html - Ijime, Dame, Zettai live at Sonisphere Festival 2014, sometimes the official live MV isn't so friendly so you know what to do. ruclips.net/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/видео.html - Rondo Of Nightmare, with Mischiefs Of Metal Gods Intro live at Budokan 2014, another SuMetal solo but way different than usual happy songs. ruclips.net/video/8WBDiLMNZcE/видео.html - Doki Doki Morning, official MV, their very first song and MV full of kawaiiness, usually is safe to react so try it, if you want a live performance, this is the first proshot version with the Kami Band live at Legend 1999 (YuiMetal and MoaMetal 14th birthday). ruclips.net/video/BSjv9OYtWZ0/видео.html - Uki Uki Midnight, this one is a follow up to Doki Doki Morning but way different sound, this is the PV, is super fun but the sound isn't so great but at least is live. ruclips.net/video/Yj-UQIlqsIQ/видео.html If you want better sound with the Kami Band, then live at Budokan 2014 it is. ruclips.net/video/ESzY9dL613Q/видео.html - Onedari Daisakusen, live at Legend 1997, this is a Black Babymetal song, is a subgroup with only YuiMetal and MoaMetal. ruclips.net/video/1dT1ywYR5So/видео.html - Iine! again official MV hits way better but if you want live, here live at Budokan 2014. ruclips.net/video/5sCvYVNeD0w/видео.html - Karate live at Download Festival 2016, "kitsune6001" got this with a short interview intro. ruclips.net/video/FKOL6v3Md2c/видео.html - Road Of Resistance live in Japan official, this one is easily to find but be careful with the blocked by putting some filters just in case. - Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai - Answer For Animation With You, live at Budokan 2014, not sure if it's still safe, so try some filters, if is audio blocked try to mute or just cut the parts. ruclips.net/video/M8FKumvh-w8/видео.html Here's a song you can find at Babymetal Reactor Resource (BMRR), a helpful place to get watermarked logo clips of the original live version to curve the annoying algo. - GJ! live at Wembley Arena 2016, another Black Babymetal song. ruclips.net/video/Hg0Rylcg8F0/видео.html This is BMRR short vid to follow instructions and get the spreadsheet with the full list. ruclips.net/video/q40VmTHSh4c/видео.html And here's a BM guide (the long one). ruclips.net/video/gDne0xwniTg/видео.html There's a more recent beginners guide at "Briaghh" called "So... What is BabyMetal?" is more short and with some fair update until this year unlike the other one. ruclips.net/video/9X5vj1-Sg_4/видео.htmlsi=ebbxVxI_mEgt-6SG 🦊🤘
How do you like Japanese rock? A famous American said, ``Rock was born in America, grew in England, and was perfected in Japan.'' Japanese rock groups are diverse, and many groups are active and active. Please have fun.
Love Babymetal - was lucky enough to see them last year when they toured the UK with Sabaton . When this song is your first exposure to BM it's easy to fall in the trap of thinking that they're just a gimmick - they're definitely not ! In the 14 years since they were formed they have either opened for , toured with or collaborated with bands like - Metallica , GunsN'Roses , Red Hot Chili Peppers , Korn , Sabaton , Rob Halford , Tom Morello ( RATM ) , Bring Me the Horizon etc etc in addition to appearing at some of the world's biggest Metal Festivals ( eg they're at Hellfest again this year - and Download ) . They are just about to complete their sold out world tour this month in Tokyo - and it has been a WORLD tour . I'd suggest listening to " Rondo of Nightmare " live as it showcases the Kami band which really are an integral part of the experience and are some of the best musicians on the planet , and the recent video of their collaboration with BMTH - " Kingslayer " really is something else . Enjoy !
Yes, I saw them with Sabaton too, just amazing. Choreography is a big part of their shows and they maintain insane energy levels - live is definitely the way to go with reactions, but you need to be careful not to get blocked, listen to the advice in comments on which versions to do. Enjoy!
I think it was around 10 years ago when I saw the Fine Brothers channel react to Baby Metal... It was amazing! Whoever the music executive was who thought of doing cute metal was a genius.
I saw these girls live, in Madrid last december. It was AMAZING. Best show I have ever been to, it will take alot to beat the atmosphere there. 100% a go to, if they come back. I reccomend Road of Resistance, Live in Japan or Road of Resistance (PIA ARENA 2023) both phenominal
The more you go down the fox hole. The more you will love them. They are so different to anything else. Everything is so different, they mix so many genres into there music and songs. Live babymetal is best babymetal. Enjoy 😁
Welcome to the foxhole. You have just discovered one of the most versatile and diverse bands on the planet. This is their most pop and commercial song. Like a gateway drug. Others will fill you in further. Next try the official music video for Karate or the live version of headbangggggeeeeerrrrr from the legend 1997 (year of lead singer Su Metal’s birth) concert celebrating Su’s 16th b-day. . . Although you really can’t go wrong. You may also like the official Road of Resistance Live in Japan featuring guitar parts written by Sam and Herman from Dragonforce (they played on the studio version) They have 60 some songs that are all different from each other and are wild experiments in genre blending. Looking forward to all your future reactions! Thank you for sharing your discoveries with us. KITSUNES UP!! 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼🔥🔥🔥
You've just set foot on an unknown continent ! Surprising and unsuspected wonders await you. Continue your journey with Babymetal, you'll never regret it ! ✨🦊✨
Last year Babymetal played a couple of songs for The First Take (@The_FirstTake), including a piano version of "Monochrome" (10-Mar-2023), and a version of "The One" (14-Apr-2023) (both have subs).
Welcome to the Foxhole! You'll have to fight Amuse's copyright claims, but this is a worthwhile venture. A bit of the classics: "BABYMETAL - メギツネ - MEGITSUNE (OFFICIAL)" 2013 ruclips.net/video/cK3NMZAUKGw/видео.html Since Megitsune is one of the most played songs at concerts there are plenty of those around, but still can't beat the cuteness (and the surprise mic of Su-metal) of this one. "Rondo of Nightmare (with Mischiefs of Metal Gods intro) Live at Budokan Black Night" 2014 ruclips.net/video/tmMocP99QkQ/видео.html There are several other songs where the Kamis shine in front, others will bring them up. "Road of Resistance - Live in Japan (OFFICIAL)" 2015 ruclips.net/video/zTEYUFgLveY/видео.html This one made a grown ass man bassist tear up reacting to it (Hi Dave!) BABYMETAL - Ijime,Dame,Zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014,UK (OFFICIAL) ruclips.net/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/видео.htmlsi=p54p9uFaYyWQDzWp The first time the girls acted at a big event out of Asia, Sonisphere was the "do or die" moment for them, and they won over the 50k atendees, most of them didn't know who these little Japanese girls were, singing something about Chocolate and whatnot ;-) BABYMETAL - Headbanger!! 『へドバンギャー!! 』(MOAMETAL ver.) | Moabanger ruclips.net/video/MToMx6RCW-M/видео.html Headbanger!! is one of those you need to watch with the original three (Su/Moa/Yui) and after, plus the specials on birthdays, this is one of those, Moa showing her excelent rendition. Karate - Live at Download Festival/UK 2016 ruclips.net/video/3ZXl4WiDC7I/видео.html As usual at UK festivals, it rained, look at those young girls dacing on the wet stage like the great pros they are. And more recent ones: "Babymetal - Monochrome (PIA Arena 2023 Live) Eng Subs" ruclips.net/video/xAZeBm0o7Jo/видео.html "KINGSLAYER (Fancam Compilation) 👑 | Bring Me The Horizon ft. BABYMETAL (2023)" ruclips.net/video/6kYS_DMCuxw/видео.html Yes, this is the best version for me, the official one at BMTH channel it's annoying with all the absurd cuts and instagram-esque shots, plus this one has the aftersong interactions, which are great. 😀 #Notacult
They spread laughter throughout the metal community, this is why they are so respected, cause finally some joy for the music comes our way, it's always so utterly angry and negative all the time really, love em.
Excellent! I am happy to see y'all reacting to Babymetal! Now, whether Gimme Choco is the best choice for a first reaction depends totally on the the reactor. Some hate it and some love it. It is quite striking to the senses, lol. This was my introduction to Babymetal and the foxhole back in 2020 and I couldn't get enough. As a matter of fact, I stopped listening to anything for like 2 years. I fell deep down the foxhole and I don't want out. I have slowly been adding other Japanese bands into my playlist along with just a select few of the old stuff I used to listen too to keep things rounded out. Babymetal is my number one ,though, and I don't see anyone replacing them. I am sure that the more listen, the more you will love them like the rest of us . Can't wait to see more! Kitsune Up! 🤘🦊🤘
If you want to see the actual band behind Babymetal...Kami band is front and center on the live show "Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of God intro Budokan live" (top 5 all time performances from BabyMetal)
These three girls are stage generals. They performed 2 shows in front of 55,000 people at the Tokyo Dome when they were very young. The way they dominated the public impresses me to this day. I highly recommend that, if you can, watch the DVDs of the shows in Japan. The production is spectacular.
Well, you’ve opened a can of worms! BABYMETAL has an extensive history (and lore) which I won’t get into but a quick synopsis: they’ve been around for a bit over thirteen years now (they started when their lead singer - known as Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) - was about twelve, and the two "cheerleaders" (officially "scream and dance" (backing vocals)) - Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) and Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) - were both around eleven. Unfortunately, Yui left the band in 2018 because of health concerns, and early in 2023 Momometal (Momoko Okazaki) was named a member of the group. They do not play instruments but are backed by the Kami Band - session musicians who are among the best that Japan (and the U.S.) has to offer. BABYMETAL started a brand new genre of music ("kawaii metal" - cute metal), and they cannot be pigeon-holed - they are almost always thinking and moving outside box; they made listening to metal FUN! It not often that you can headbang with a shit-eating grin on your face! They have, to date, four studio albums, and have been on a number of world tours. It is common knowledge among their devoted fans (known as "The One") that BABYMETAL is best served live, but they do have several music videos that are real works of art. I suggest you go back to the beginning, and react to their first two music videos, "Doki Doki Morning" and "Iine!" (pronounced "E-nay"), both released in 2012, and move forward from there. You’ll notice those are the first two on this list of these recommended songs (along with suggested versions): Doki Doki Morning (official music video) Iine! (official MV) Gimme Chocolate!! (official MV or Legend 1997 Apocalypse version) Megitsune (official MV) BABYMETAL Death (Legend 1997 Apocalypse version) [for those who are religiously sensitive, see the Budokan Black Night 2014 version] Onedari Daisakusen (Legend 1997 Apocalypse version) Song 4 No Uta (Budokan Black Night 2014 version) Uki Uki * Midnight (Budokan Black Night 2014 version) Catch Me If You Can (Budokan Black Night 2014 version) Ijime, Dame, Zettai (Live at Sonisphere 2014 version) Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! (Legend 1997 Apocalypse version) Road of Resistance (Legend 2015 New Year Fox Festival version) Karate (official MV) Meta Taro (Five Fox Festival version) GJ! (Fox Festival 2017 version) Sis Anger (Fox Festival 2017 version) Shanti Shanti Shanti (official MV) Pa Pa Ya!! (official MV) BxMxC (official MV) Metalizm (official MV) Metali!! (official MV) I would include the links but, for some reason, RUclips sometimes thinks I'm posting spam and will delete my comment. For the links, see the RUclips playlist “BABYMETAL Top Twenty”; it is a mix of MV’s and live performances, is more or less in historical sequence, and could be considered a road map down the BABYMETAL foxhole. If nothing else, it can be used as a reference to find high quality versions of BABYMETAL songs without mucking about - if they are on the list. Anyway . . . . Another recommendation (read "challenge"): react to an entire BABYMETAL concert. I suggest "Legend 1997 Apocalypse" and/or "Budokan Black Night" (2014). There are playlists for both on the HEAD123456 RUclips channel. Both concerts are, in a word, incredible. Enjoy your trip down the foxhole! (You're in for a wild ride!!!) Keep rockin' BABYMETAL!!! (Sorry about the wall!) KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘
Ahhhh BABYMETAL. Their last album "The Other One" is epic, it's REALLY good. It's also not like this... Check out "Time Wave" for a great example. Die hard fans hate this, but as previously mentioned, BABYMETAL are performance art. You can't call they a band as they use a couple of session bands, with revolving members, to play the music. You can;t call them Idol, even though they are an asset of an Idol corporation called Amuse and they were born out of an Idol "school". They don't do many of the things traditional Idol groups do though, like revolve members or do mass marketing at the member level. What they actually do is put on a fantastic show, make some excellent music and just plain entertain. It doesn't matter if it's at a secondary stage at a festival or headlining 50k seat arenas in Japan (they also filled Wembley arena a few years ago) - they always bring it and they are much loved because of it.
👍 👍 BabyMetal began in 2010 there were Suzuka Nakamoto age 12 Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno. Both Moa and Yui were 11 years old. All three girls were friends and classmates who attended an idol group (Sakura Gakuin) founded in 2010 by Amuse Talent Agency for girls 10 to 15. Themed around school life (they attended regular school as well) the girls would learn and train at vocals, dancing, public speaking and etiquette, etc., graduate at age 15 and then move onto whatever entertainment path they chose or that suited their talents. Key Kobayashi was a music producer for Amuse and heard Suzuka sing at age 9 and was impressed with her strong vocals and stage presence. Kobayashi was a fan of heavy metal but believed that the genre had become stale and tired (especially in Japan) with metal bands getting old Kobayashi believed the genre needed to be reborn (BabyMetal means the birth of a new metal genre). Kobayashi felt that Suzuka had the ability to front a metal band and that her vocals and presence could withstand the metal guitars and drums. The fusion of Jpop and Metal began. He placed Moa and Yui as backup singers/dancers and a phenomenon was about to result. In the beginning Amuse showed little interest and the girls had minimal financing. They performed at strip malls and small venues borrowing clothes for shows from friends and family. No money for a real band they had friends dressed in homemade skeleton costumes pretending to play instruments to a backtrack. They quickly became a sensation (these young ladies paid their dues). Amuse saw the potential and in 2012 hired the best session musicians Japan had to offer (The Kami Band) who tours with them today (now includes world class musicians from the USA for tours outside of Asia). If you choose to explore more of BabyMetal I suggest reacting to HQ pro shot videos of LIVE performances instead of official MV's (the reason is that the vast majority of MV's use studio audio over LIVE footage AND without the awesome Kami Band instrumentals) They have over 60 LIVE songs/performances and each one is different. They are fearless exploring many genres and have the respect of the legends of Metal such as Metallica, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Judas Priest and more. Avoid Glastonbury LIVE performances as the sound production by the BBC (who was in charge of that festival did a terrible job - mics not turned on, incorrect volume levels, etc.) Suggest reacting to these HQ Pro Shot videos of LIVE performances for a start. You guys had the same reaction to seeing this that i did. This band is amazing and are probably responsible for all of the Japanese female metal bands we get to enjoy today.
The best Metal song ever about wanting to eat chocolate! 🦊🤘🤘🦊 This is a performance from 10 years ago and the 'musicians' are just acting while the girls sing live. Try some of their VERY Metal stuff like their first appearance in the west at Sonisphere in 2014 which is hugely impressive and with The Kami Band, their usual real band, all top tier Metal musicians - ruclips.net/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/видео.htmlsi=5gAvkVBqigHxwH6K. Gimme Choco is fun but it is not what they are about now - which, if you check out some of their new videos, you'll find is all about unique, superb Metal (though beware as they are the only Japanese band that will block reactions and are notorious for doing so). They were the first Japanese band I discovered back in 2016 and they opened my eyes to the likes of Band-Maid, Lovebites, Asterism and Nemophila (Japanese, all female and MetalAF - you'd love them!).
Youll have to check out their latest songs. They are all AWESOME!! This song was their viral hit...But it is far from their best song...Viral because its shocking i think
Not " another Japanese band ". Thee Japanese band. They are the Grand Ladies of Japanese Metal. Over 14 years and are EPIC. BABYMETAL live is LIFE BABYMETAL FOREVER 🤘🤘🤘
Listen these girls were famous far beyond our own wildest dreams. And they are sober people. So lets remember that nor east thing to do in the metal world.
Has to be a live version. Headbanger and monochrome are my favorites. I hate everyone tells ppl to listen to this song first. I heard this song years ago and never listened to them more until recently. Now i hate myself for never giving them a shot. All will be well when i see them live in November though😁

Glad you enjoyed it! More than ten years later, they are still unique and fresh. But they also may take some getting used to. Usually it takes about three songs to get hooked, so checking out a few more is good idea. :-) There‘s a great variety in there music, some songs are more serious, some more playful, but they are always fun and entertaining. I would recommend another song from the same album called „Megitsune“, and as an example of something newer, maybe „Monochrome“.
Never a bad time to get into Babymetal, not their best song by far but welcome. Give BMTH Kingslayer ft BabyMetal live in Tokyo or monochrome live a try
Let me dust off my copy and paste for you two. Babymetal is an offshoot of the idol training school/group called Sakura Gakuin. Sakura Gakuin, often shortened to SG, had several different themed clubs/groups with Babymetal being the heavy metal club. Babymetal was built around Su-Metal (Suzuka Nakamoto), the tallest and oldest of the three original girls. The other two originals are Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) and Moametal (Moa Kikuchi), fellow graduates of SG who were chosen for Babymetal because of their similar height, appearance, and voices. Their look, at least during the early days, is called "Gothic Lolita." Babymetal has released studio four albums and a ton of live concerts. Yuimetal left the group in 2018 due to undisclosed health reasons and has seemingly fallen off the face of the planet. Other backups dancers filled in for Yui, the most prominent of which were a rotating trio called The Avengers. Two of the Avengers quietly drifted away from Babymetal and moved on to other projects, but the third, Momoko Okazaki, was made the third member of Babymetal in April 2023 and dubbed Momometal. Babymetal is the three girls and only the three girls, and their fanbase is called The One. This particular video is the studio version of the song played over a live performance with crowd noise added at the end. The "band" you see here on the instruments were called Baby Bones (not sure if it's one word or two). They weren't actually playing the music, just pantomiming, while the music was playing over a backing track. I believe this is the last show the Baby Bones appeared at. They were originally a cost-cutting measure, but since Babymetal got really big really fast, their talent agency, Amuse, were able to hire live musicians on a permanent basis. Those musicians are collectively called the Kami Band. The lineup has changed here and there and now includes a Western Kami Band. I saw BABYMETAL for the first time recently at the rather large Yokohama Arena. We were there for both days and have never had an experience like that before. The best advice I can give you regarding Babymetal is too not get hung up on genre and not to make declarations about them based on one song. They have never stuck to one genre or been predictable.
Thanks for discovering BM. My recommendations are, like everyone else's, 'Megitsune' and 'Headbanger'. I recommend the live videos of them. The other day, at my three-monthly hospital visits, my ratios got worse... I drank too much during the last three months, like New Year's holidays and the after-parties at the Yokohama Arena shows of BM... My doctor laughed at my situation and didn't pay much attention. Well, it can't be helped! I didn't eat that much chocolate during the time, but I will have to take more medicine next time if get worse! He firmly nailed me. Sorry, it's a personal thing. Thank you from Japan!
BABYMETAL 101 Babymetal is a Japanese group founded in 2010 and produced by Kei “Koba” Kobayashi from the Amuse Inc. talent agency. Babymetal name comes from the birth of a new style of metal fusing j-pop with metal creating what they call Kawaii Metal (Cute-Metal). The group currently consists of Suzuka Nakamoto aka “Su-Metal” (26 years old) sometimes referred to as Vocal and Dance. Moa Kikuchi aka "Moametal", pronounced as Moa-Metal (24 years old) as part of Scream and Dance. Momoko Okazaki aka Momometal (21 years old) as part of Scream and Dance. They are supported by a rotating selection of talented male backing musicians known as the Kami Band (Kami is usually poorly translated as gods, but in truth it more closely means awe inspiring spirit, entity, or object) It is why they are dressed in white to look like ghosts or spirits, though Kami being used as God(s) is so common in translation the white outfits get lost.) The black outfit and masks currently used helps place them more in the background as the group is Babymetal not the Kami Band. Past Formations. Heavy Music Club Era (2010-2012) From 2010 to 2012 Babymetal consists of a three-member formation, Suzuka Nakamoto (Age 12), Moa Kikuchi (Age 10), and Yui Mizuno aka "Yuimetal" pronounced Yui-Metal. (Age 10). First starting out as the Heavy Music Club as a subunit within the Developmental Idol Group created by Amuse in 2010 known as Sakura Gakuin. Sakura Gakuin is a group that introduces girls between the ages of 10-15 to music, dance, modeling, and acting through Japanese Pop idol music and culture. Given a school theme, all three would be a part of Sakura Gakuin until their graduation from it in the same school year they would graduate from Japanese middle school or 15 years old. Suzuka graduated in March 2013, and Moa and Yui in March of 2015. Sakura Gakuin is a fantastic group with great kawaii jpop songs in their own right. During this time there was no lore, and the girl’s costumes were more punkish in nature, which they helped create. They also didn’t perform with live music, using a backing track or the “Skeleton band” people pretending to play music behind them. Music Video of this Era Doki Doki Morning (Debut Song) Iine (Pronounced EE-N A spelled i i n e) Headbangya Babymetal/ Metal Resistance Era (2012-2017) Starting in 2012 with the Legend I concert, Babymetal began its slow divorce from Sakura Gakuin, and was the first introduction of the Kami Band as well as the “Lore” that is still heavily involved in Babymetal but makes far less sense than it did during this time. The Lore is complex and involves a battle against other evil idol corporations, gaining powers, some time travel, running a resistance group, all at the direction of a mythical deity known as the fox god, against an all-power enemy known as Akiba. The first Legend show “I” was the Kami Bands introduction to the end, but it also had the Skeleton Band which is seen in the wildly popular Gimmie Chocolate Music Video. This was followed by Legend D, and then Legend Z, in which it was learned that Babymetal would continue as its own entity after Suzuka’s graduation from Sakura Gakuin in March of 2013. Slowly over 2013 the Skeleton Band would be phased out of all live shows, as Babymetal came into their own. Babymetal as it is with Su-Metal, Moametal, Yuimetal, the Kami Band, and a somewhat understandable lore is what consisted for the majority of its existence. Also established beyond the 3-member formation, they had 2 other set ups, one was what fans called Su-Solos, and it would just be Su on stage with the Kami band, performing a solo, and the other is known as Black Babymetal by the band themselves, which consisted of just Moa and Yui. Music Videos of this Era Gimmie Chocolate Megitsune Rondo of Nightmare - With mischief of the Gods Intro (Su Solo and a great expedition of the Kami Band) Road of Resistance Live in Japan (Co-written by Dragonforce) Iijime, Dame, Zettai Live at Sonisphere (Name means No More Bullying Forever) Karate The Dark Times, The Chosen 7 Era (2018) In December 2017, Yui would miss the Legend-S concert for health reasons, these health problems would prosiest into 2018 and greatly affect the 2018 touring season bring the “Chosen 7” formation, consisting of Suzuka Nakamoto, Moa Kikuchi, and 2 backing dancers Minako Maruyama, and Minami Tsukui. Changes they would not tell fans and all throughout 2018 communicate extraordinarily little causing lots of pain for all involved fan and performer. This era is noted by their strange armor like costumes, sometimes referred to as Elf Armor. To make the poor communication, and Yui’s absence wasn’t bad enough, one of the more regular Kami band members, Mikio Fujioka passed away after falling off a balcony in late December 2017 while star gazing. A beloved and incredibly talented musician lost, leaving behind his wife and only child. In September 2018 Yui formally resign from Babymetal, stating her unspecified health and wishing to move on. Babymetal themselves announced that the group will move on focusing on Suzuka and Moa. (Something many idiots within the fandom refused or were too stupid to understand and formed the cancerous Yui-Cultists that would plague the fandom until Momometals debut. There are some holdouts, but thankfully they have become very rare.) In October Babymetal had a concert called Dark Night Carnival which added dancers, Shoko Akiyama, Saya Hirai, and Kotono, placing a total of seven girls on stage. This was also done without warning to fans and was an absolute mess. Babymetal would finish off the 2018 tour season returning to the 3-member formation with just Saya Hirai joining them in southeast Asia and Australia. Ending one of the most troubling times in Babymetal’s history. Music Videos of this Era (These MVs do not feature the members in them at all) Distortion Starlight (Don’t let overzealous fans fool you, this is OFFICIALLY not a tribute to anyone. A lot of fan speculation, end of story if they claim it is they are 100% lying to you.) Metal Galaxy Era (2019- Feb 2020) First introduced in 2019 during the Babymetal Arises concert in Yokohama, before the start, the “Avenger” support dancer concept was explained in the lore, and the concept thanks to communication and a maintaining of the 3-member formation brought Babymetal out of dark times brought about during 2018. Babymetal seemed to have returned to its roots with the Avengers, as 2 of the three (Kano and Momoko) come from Sakura Gakuin. The third Riho, went to the same performing arts school as Suzuka during the same time, Actors School Hiroshima aka ASH. Music Videos of this Era Pa Pa Ya Elevator Girl Shanti Shanti Da Da Dance (Avenger confusion) Which Avenger one sees can be confusing for those new to Babymetal. For the Music Videos, Pa Pa Ya, Elevator Girl, and Shanti Shanti Shanti, it is Kano Fujihira, who was just 14 years old at the time. Da Da Dance is a compilation of Momoko and Riho and a splicing of 2 different shows. In most fan cam videos of the American and European tour it would be either Riho or Momoko, as they toured with Babymetal in 2019. Kano had responsibilities with Sakura Gakuin as its president, a position Suzuka and Moa both held in Sakura Gakuin, and she’s never flown on a plane before. Some fans for 2019 did throw a stupid temper tantrum over the use of new Kami Band members who are from the west now known as the West Coast Kami Band, but like how the girls won over many, so did they and the payoff with the Legend Metal Galaxy concert in 2020 was well worth it.
COVID Era (Mar 2020 to April 2021) COIVD-19 has messed up a lot of things for everyone, Babymetal had to cancel their Asian tour, as well their big 10th Anniversary on October 10, 2020. Forced to keep it rather tame something very unlike Babymetal as even in their failures like the entire 2018 tour they do it septically. The question for many fans at the time was what of the Avengers, since COVID, Avenger Riho Sayashi has signed with a new agency and has moved on to other projects, including starting a fan club. Kano Fujihara graduated from Sakura Gakuin on August 30, 2020, a near 4-month delay. However, she and fellow Sakura Gakuin graduates Soyoka Yoshida, Tsugumi Aritomo, and Momoe Mori in the formation of @onefive. Which left Momoko Okazaki who is a graduate of Sakura Gakuin in March 2018 would be the last standing Avenger until she would become the new member of Babymetal. Music Videos of this Era BxMxC (First music video that isn’t footage from a show and featuring Su and Moa since Karate in 2015) Post 10-year Anniversary/ Covid Era Part 2 (May 2021-September 2022) The band stepped back from live shows due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and focusing on the sale of Merch. There were a few months of a pure break with Su, and Moa taking some time thinking about their future as they stated in an interview. This was a short few months (Their words) they went quickly back to work in less than a year logistically speaking as they spent time working on a new concept album the choreography and planning the massive world tour in 2023. The word hiatus is used a lot, and some idiots thought BM might never comeback or believe this was a true hiatus. Ignore their drama they just want attention, it was nothing like a true hiatus, people who claim it was are liars. They took a short break the girls took a few months to reflect but were back making their 4th album working on the choreograph and setting up their largest world tour in the groups history. You have to be an idiot to think they set all of that up in like 2 months. Momoko had a very very short stint in a Korean Idol Competition Show called Planet 99. She performed perfectly, better than most of the other girls in the show. She even got the most votes in a small side competition destroying all the other 98 girls in the show in votes. This won her some hair dye (She was blonde for a bit). Ultimately be it dumb BM fans thinking the side competition was the actual competition, how the judging was heavily skewed to Korean voters, the fact that her fate was tied to 2 other girls one Korean and one Chinese, and or possibly ridged voting something the company producing the show has done in the past, Momoko was eliminated in the very first round. The Other One (October 2022-April 2023) They had released 5 songs on RUclips, and they performed a show in January 2023 where they performed these new songs leading up to the released of their Album in March with 10 new songs. During January and February shows Su and Moa were supported by Momoko. On April First (Fox Day) Their new show played many new and old songs as well as officially made Momoko Okazaki aka Momometal the official 3rd member. Bringing Babymetal back to a 3-member unit once again. This all kicked off their world tour in touring with Sabaton in Europe then Asia and Australia, and tours in US in the fall and a solo tour in Europe in winter, with a tour finally in Japan in 2024. All of this is proof there was no true hiatus, just sensational fans who want to make things more dramatic than they truly were. I’m sure you’ll get this info from others but this was relatively early in the Baby-Metal saga. The band they had behind them were a fake band and I was happy when they started using actual musicians…and it was called the Kami band. A few years ago Yui, the young girl on the left side of your screen, left the group for personal reasons. Most fans were devastated when this happened and wondered if they would continue. They did with just Su and Moa for a while and slowly they added a third dancer but didn’t have them as a replacement. But now they have the permanent new member Momo. They name themselves Su-Metal, Moa-Metal and Momo-Metal. There are many great interviews with them available on RUclips. Some of their recent concerts in Japan in the last couple of years are epic, with the stage design and crowds. Enjoy this new rabbit hole. 😊Baby-Metal is definitely their own sub-genre of metal.
At this point of the concert, the band isn't playing. It's all back track. Around the halfway mark, they introduced the live band, known as the Kami Band. Because of their age, they did quite a few 'fun' songs like this one. There are plenty of more 'normal' metal songs like Rondo Of Nightmare, IDZ, Road of Resistance,, etc. And their resent album pretty much all melodic metal. You should do the goat of all their lives, Road of Resistance live from Japan. That band is out of this world. ruclips.net/video/zTEYUFgLveY/видео.htmlsi=ailqhIICOvQxrXJQ
Try Karate or Monochrome. The version of Monochrome that I like best is the stripped down version on the First Take channel. A lot of history on this group, recommend you Google them.
Well it was onevof the reasons why they Explorer in 2014 this Video went viral on RUclips and Iron Maiden gaveca rating Review. So Sonicsphere pushed them from a small stage (2000) to the main stage (80000). It could have gone wrong but it made them to the International most succesful japanese Band. Last year they had another International Tour which 97 concerts. So even when rhey are 10 years older they didn't grow old. Their audience are 40% female and all ages between 5 to 85.

@@TheLeomarti BABYMETAL joined DragonForce on stage at Download 2015 and they played 'Gimme Chocolate' together, a few days later they played 'Road of Resistance' and 'Gimme Chocolate' together at an awards show in London. As far as recording songs or being involved in doing the guitar arrangements it was only 'Road of Resistance that had Herman Li and Sam Totman's involvement.
This is not the best intro to BM although it's very good. They're the originator of a new genre and are still unique after 13 years - no two songs are the same but they're almost invariably good. Loads of choice - I like Kagerou or Monochrome (live) or matbe headbanger legend 97. Great reaction!
Welcome to the foxhole these ladies are going to astonish and amaze you and definitely make you smile 🦊 Should go check out Metali its their latest new song where they collaborate with rage against the machines one and only Tom Morello.
Only Babymetal can make me do this
Wow. Thats so cool!!! I only saw them in Tokyo...
Munich (with Sabaton), Strasbourg and the two London gigs for me last year 🤘🦊
@@paulvez6296 In June last year I attended their concert in Melbourne and I'm 84 years old but Babymetal make me feel a lot younger!!!
@@PeterB-w9u Hats off to you, sir! 🦊
The only heavy metal you lisyen to with a smile all over ur face! Lol
My I suggest the next two songs to be:
Babymetal - Headbanger Live @ Legend 1997 Apocalypse
Babymetal - Road of Resistance Live in Japan
EPIC - Brings tears to your eyes
Great first reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole.🦊You were absolutely right to smile and even laugh - that is what they do (they may make you cry now and then as well, they are very good at making us feel emotions when they want to).
They keep that same energy up for the whole of every concert without a drop in the quality throughout the whole time. They are exhausting to watch, but by far the best entertainment of any kind that I've been lucky enough to find in decades.
'Gimme Chocolate' is one of their fun songs (they just want some chocolate but worry about their weight ... but it is chocolate, it would be so nice and they would be so happy, so can they just have a piece of chocolate please).🍫🍫🍫
It is not their best by a long way and would not be my recommendation for a first time seeing them as it can go either way and has even put a lot of people off ever watching them again, but it is their most viewed song and they still play it in most of their concerts (this video is 10 years old now, it was filmed in December 2013).
Yes, Monochrome (PIA Arena 2023 Live) eng subs
Jesus, just let them enjoy it. No reason to be negative by indirect condescension of those who recommended it enough.
@@DeusExMachina0000000 What exactly is negative or indirectly condescending about anything said here?
Here are some suggestions
1. Headbanger Legend of 1997
2. Road of Resistance Live in Japan
3. Karate the official version
4. Pa Pa Ya feat F Hero
5. Metali the official version this features Tom Morello
Road of Resistance - Live in Japan from their channel, co-written with Herman Li of Dragonforce (I understand you are fans?). Super fun first reaction, look forward to more! Thanks!
That official 2015 version unfortunately does not have English subtitles.
It's what I imagine is like living my life at x100 speed.
On a note on the lyrics:
It's about wanting chocolate but being conscious about your weight.
I have them on my car's sound system - enjoy driving 'with' them (and I'm 74)
cuteness overload!!! our 2 adorable little 🦊🦊 and our cute 🍅!! Yui forever!!! we miss you!
laughing and grinning ear to ear is a perfectly normal Babymetal reaction :)
Must see Babymetal songs:
Headbanger (Live 1997)
Megitsune
Road of Resistance (Live Japan)
Monochrome (both album/live and 1st Take)
Rondo of Nightmare (Live Budokan)
Welcome to the Foxhole!

Babymetal is awesome! Here are some of my personal favorites by them:
1. Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!
2. Night Night Burn
3. YAVA!
4. Iine! (It's a capital i not an L)
5. Awadama Fever
Make sure you react to the older versions of these.
Welcome to the Foxhole and BabyMetal journey 🦊🤘🔥
I'm always glad to see more reactors getting into this amazing group.
They are:
*SuMetal* lead vocalist, now 26.
This was in December 2013 at SuMetal 16th Birthday, the other girls had 14 yo and there was a big party you have seen nothing yet, wait for _"Babymetal Death"._
The backing band here are called "baby-bones", they don't actually play they're just mimicking air playing instrument, later on this same concert and after 2014 you'll see the girls performing with a real band called the Kami Band, more of them later.
Some recommendations for next songs like:
- _"Road Of Resistance"_ live in Japan official.
Here's the list of live performance clips usually safe to reacts without any filters so you won't need to rely on live compilations, there might be some exceptions:
- Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! live at Legend 1997, SuMetal 16th Birthday in 2013, they got MV of this and is fun, but live is a blast.

ruclips.net/video/8WBDiLMNZcE/видео.html
- Doki Doki Morning, official MV, their very first song and MV full of kawaiiness, usually is safe to react so try it, if you want a live performance, this is the first proshot version with the Kami Band live at Legend 1999 (YuiMetal and MoaMetal 14th birthday).
ruclips.net/video/BSjv9OYtWZ0/видео.html
- Uki Uki Midnight, this one is a follow up to Doki Doki Morning but way different sound, this is the PV, is super fun but the sound isn't so great but at least is live.

If you want better sound with the Kami Band, then live at Budokan 2014 it is.
ruclips.net/video/ESzY9dL613Q/видео.html
- Onedari Daisakusen, live at Legend 1997, this is a Black Babymetal song, is a subgroup with only YuiMetal and MoaMetal.
ruclips.net/video/1dT1ywYR5So/видео.html
- Iine! again official MV hits way better but if you want live, here live at Budokan 2014.
ruclips.net/video/5sCvYVNeD0w/видео.html
- Karate live at Download Festival 2016, "kitsune6001" got this with a short interview intro.
ruclips.net/video/FKOL6v3Md2c/видео.html
- Road Of Resistance live in Japan official, this one is easily to find but be careful with the blocked by putting some filters just in case.
- Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai - Answer For Animation With You, live at Budokan 2014, not sure if it's still safe, so try some filters, if is audio blocked try to mute or just cut the parts.
ruclips.net/video/M8FKumvh-w8/видео.html
Here's a song you can find at Babymetal Reactor Resource (BMRR), a helpful place to get watermarked logo clips of the original live version to curve the annoying algo.
- GJ! live at Wembley Arena 2016, another Black Babymetal song.
ruclips.net/video/Hg0Rylcg8F0/видео.html
This is BMRR short vid to follow instructions and get the spreadsheet with the full list.
ruclips.net/video/q40VmTHSh4c/видео.html
And here's a BM guide (the long one).
ruclips.net/video/gDne0xwniTg/видео.html
There's a more recent beginners guide at "Briaghh" called "So... What is BabyMetal?" is more short and with some fair update until this year unlike the other one.

When you realize the lead singer was only 15 when they performed this concert. And she is the oldest member
"Am I gonna listen to it everyday.. probably not."
We got another one who like many of us, spoke too soon 😅
I was about to say the same 😂 👍
I saw these girls live, in Madrid last december. It was AMAZING. Best show I have ever been to, it will take alot to beat the atmosphere there. 100% a go to, if they come back.
I reccomend Road of Resistance, Live in Japan or Road of Resistance (PIA ARENA 2023) both phenominal
It's ok to laugh, Babymetal gives us pure joy🤘
i saw them last October in Vancouver BC Canada 🤘😎
Saw them last year in Toronto on the BabyKlok tour. Best show I've seen in years
Yes!Love them!☺🙏✌
The more you go down the fox hole.
You may also like the official Road of Resistance Live in Japan featuring guitar parts written by Sam and Herman from Dragonforce (they played on the studio version)
They have 60 some songs that are all different from each other and are wild experiments in genre blending.
Calling Baby Metal "commercial" is hilarious. They took two things that aren't supposed to work together and made them blend surprisingly well.
A bit of the classics:
"BABYMETAL - メギツネ - MEGITSUNE (OFFICIAL)" 2013

Since Megitsune is one of the most played songs at concerts there are plenty of those around, but still can't beat the cuteness (and the surprise mic of Su-metal) of this one.
"Rondo of Nightmare (with Mischiefs of Metal Gods intro) Live at Budokan Black Night" 2014

ruclips.net/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/видео.htmlsi=p54p9uFaYyWQDzWp
The first time the girls acted at a big event out of Asia, Sonisphere was the "do or die" moment for them, and they won over the 50k atendees, most of them didn't know who these little Japanese girls were, singing something about Chocolate and whatnot ;-)
BABYMETAL - Headbanger!! 『へドバンギャー!! 』(MOAMETAL ver.) | Moabanger

Headbanger!! is one of those you need to watch with the original three (Su/Moa/Yui) and after, plus the specials on birthdays, this is one of those, Moa showing her excelent rendition.

Yes, this is the best version for me, the official one at BMTH channel it's annoying with all the absurd cuts and instagram-esque shots, plus this one has the aftersong interactions, which are great.

Do more. You will fall in love. The early stuff is a bit "baby" but watching their whole progression is insane.
sweet reaction
plz do Babymetal - Headbanger Live Legend 1997 next! !
They spread laughter throughout the metal community, this is why they are so respected, cause finally some joy for the music comes our way, it's always so utterly angry and negative all the time really, love em.
Really enjoyed it 😉
Kitsune Up! 🤘🦊🤘
BABYMETAL will be performing again on the main stage at Download Festival this June!🤘🦊🤘
If you want to see the actual band behind Babymetal...Kami band is front and center on the live show "Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of God intro Budokan live" (top 5 all time performances from BabyMetal)
I love babymetal, great reaction by the way.
Babymetal is at their best LIVE.
These three girls are stage generals. They performed 2 shows in front of 55,000 people at the Tokyo Dome when they were very young. The way they dominated the public impresses me to this day. I highly recommend that, if you can, watch the DVDs of the shows in Japan. The production is spectacular.
HEADBANGER 1997 NEXT!
Dude, you got 'the look'. You're standing on the edge of a vast ocean of madness. Welcome.
lol perfect way to describe it 😂The sarcacc pit of mindblowing heavy cuteness is gaping
You’ll notice those are the first two on this list of these recommended songs (along with suggested versions):
Doki Doki Morning (official music video)
Iine! (official MV)
Gimme Chocolate!! (official MV or Legend 1997 Apocalypse version)
Megitsune (official MV)
BABYMETAL Death (Legend 1997 Apocalypse version) [for those who are religiously sensitive, see the Budokan Black Night 2014 version]
Onedari Daisakusen (Legend 1997 Apocalypse version)
Song 4 No Uta (Budokan Black Night 2014 version)
Uki Uki * Midnight (Budokan Black Night 2014 version)
Catch Me If You Can (Budokan Black Night 2014 version)
Ijime, Dame, Zettai (Live at Sonisphere 2014 version)
Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! (Legend 1997 Apocalypse version)
Road of Resistance (Legend 2015 New Year Fox Festival version)
Karate (official MV)
Meta Taro (Five Fox Festival version)
GJ! (Fox Festival 2017 version)
Sis Anger (Fox Festival 2017 version)
Shanti Shanti Shanti (official MV)
Pa Pa Ya!! (official MV)
BxMxC (official MV)
Metalizm (official MV)
Metali!! (official MV)
I would include the links but, for some reason, RUclips sometimes thinks I'm posting spam and will delete my comment.
(You're in for a wild ride!!!)
Keep rockin' BABYMETAL!!! (Sorry about the wall!)
KITSUNE UP!!!
👍 👍
BabyMetal began in 2010 there were Suzuka Nakamoto age 12 Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno.
If you choose to explore more of BabyMetal I suggest reacting to HQ pro shot videos of LIVE performances instead of official MV's (the reason is that the vast majority of MV's use studio audio over LIVE footage AND without the awesome Kami Band instrumentals)
They have over 60 LIVE songs/performances and each one is different. They are fearless exploring many genres and have the respect of the legends of Metal such as Metallica, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Judas Priest and more.
Avoid Glastonbury LIVE performances as the sound production by the BBC (who was in charge of that festival did a terrible job - mics not turned on, incorrect volume levels, etc.)
Suggest reacting to these HQ Pro Shot videos of LIVE performances for a start.

Yui Mizuno left BabyMetal in 2018 due to health reasons and at their concert in Yokohama on April 1 it was announced that a permanent third member Momoko Okazaki (who is also a graduate of Sakura Gakuin and has been appearing with them LIVE since 2019 after Yui's departure) has officially become the third member.
Their new album in my opinion that released March 24 is amazing with so many different styles.
Good luck and hope to see you again.
Not smile and laugh while watching Babymetal challenge.

BM. Amazing catalogue. Be sure to dive down the rabbit hole. ❤❤❤
You guys had the same reaction to seeing this that i did. This band is amazing and are probably responsible for all of the Japanese female metal bands we get to enjoy today.
They are so awesome
ir's like eating sour food then drink something's sweet at the same time 😂
React please, Akatsuki live, great band and song!! 🤘🤘🎸🎸
BABYMETAL live is LIFE
BABYMETAL FOREVER
🤘🤘🤘
I found BABYMETAL in 2015. And I saw them September 2023!
Wellcome to the legend.

@JuanGomez-dk6kf Good way of looking at then and now 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! More than ten years later, they are still unique and fresh. But they also may take some getting used to. Usually it takes about three songs to get hooked, so checking out a few more is good idea. :-)
There‘s a great variety in there music, some songs are more serious, some more playful, but they are always fun and entertaining. I would recommend another song from the same album called „Megitsune“, and as an example of something newer, maybe „Monochrome“.

Their look, at least during the early days, is called "Gothic Lolita."
Babymetal has released studio four albums and a ton of live concerts.
Welcome to Happy Metal!!!
Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!
Lol...never heard "happy metal" but fair enough😂
Yeah rammstein pyro, would love to see them live...headbanger is my fav...you have to see pa pa ya live...
They gave a lot of unique songs I suggest Karate it's so good

BABYMETAL 101
Babymetal is a Japanese group founded in 2010 and produced by Kei “Koba” Kobayashi from the Amuse Inc. talent agency.
Heavy Music Club Era (2010-2012)
From 2010 to 2012 Babymetal consists of a three-member formation, Suzuka Nakamoto (Age 12), Moa Kikuchi (Age 10), and Yui Mizuno aka "Yuimetal" pronounced Yui-Metal.

Babymetal/ Metal Resistance Era (2012-2017)
Starting in 2012 with the Legend I concert, Babymetal began its slow divorce from Sakura Gakuin, and was the first introduction of the Kami Band as well as the “Lore” that is still heavily involved in Babymetal but makes far less sense than it did during this time.

The Dark Times, The Chosen 7 Era (2018)
In December 2017, Yui would miss the Legend-S concert for health reasons, these health problems would prosiest into 2018 and greatly affect the 2018 touring season bring the “Chosen 7” formation, consisting of Suzuka Nakamoto, Moa Kikuchi, and 2 backing dancers Minako Maruyama, and Minami Tsukui.
There are some holdouts, but thankfully they have become very rare.)
In October Babymetal had a concert called Dark Night Carnival which added dancers, Shoko Akiyama, Saya Hirai, and Kotono, placing a total of seven girls on stage. This was also done without warning to fans and was an absolute mess. Babymetal would finish off the 2018 tour season returning to the 3-member formation with just Saya Hirai joining them in southeast Asia and Australia. Ending one of the most troubling times in Babymetal’s history.

Metal Galaxy Era (2019- Feb 2020)
First introduced in 2019 during the Babymetal Arises concert in Yokohama, before the start, the “Avenger” support dancer concept was explained in the lore, and the concept thanks to communication and a maintaining of the 3-member formation brought Babymetal out of dark times brought about during 2018. Babymetal seemed to have returned to its roots with the Avengers, as 2 of the three (Kano and Momoko) come from Sakura Gakuin. The third Riho, went to the same performing arts school as Suzuka during the same time, Actors School Hiroshima aka ASH.

(Avenger confusion)
Which Avenger one sees can be confusing for those new to Babymetal.
COVID Era (Mar 2020 to April 2021)
COIVD-19 has messed up a lot of things for everyone, Babymetal had to cancel their Asian tour, as well their big 10th Anniversary on October 10, 2020.

The Other One (October 2022-April 2023)
They had released 5 songs on RUclips, and they performed a show in January 2023 where they performed these new songs leading up to the released of their Album in March with 10 new songs.

The New Era of Babymetal (April 2023-Current)
After doing what Su-Metal described in Interviews as the Training Beginning, Su, Moa, and Momo toured Europe with Sabaton, then had solo tours in Asia and Australia, before returning to Japan and having a few solo shows along with hitting the Summer Sonic and other Festivals in Japan before their major tour in the United States with DETHKLOK in September. They spent some time in October to do a festival in Japan and perform with Bring Me the Horizon in their song Kingslayer live for the first time. They completed their EU Tour and are taking a break as they prepare for 2024 with shows in Okinawa and Legend MM a 2 day Birthday Bash for Momoko’s 20/21 birthday (They missed her 20th). They also already have many 2024 festival dates in the US and EU and solo shows in Spain.

😊Baby-Metal is definitely their own sub-genre of metal.
great reaction🤘🦊💖

MORE BABY METAL PLZ
Well it was onevof the reasons why they Explorer in 2014 this Video went viral on RUclips and Iron Maiden gaveca rating Review. So Sonicsphere pushed them from a small stage (2000) to the main stage (80000). It could have gone wrong but it made them to the International most succesful japanese Band. Last year they had another International Tour which 97 concerts. So even when rhey are 10 years older they didn't grow old. Their audience are 40% female and all ages between 5 to 85.

Most people don't know the fact that herman li from dragonforce was play the guitar part of this song for recording version... Herman li play for two babymetal songs, gimme chocolate and road of resistance but most people know herman li only play in road of resistance but actually he play in gimme chocolate too
citation needed then ^^
@@TheLeomarti herman li once say it on his live youtube maybe a year ago (i don't exactly remember the time) and he even show the guitar he play on those songs.. you can check it on his youtube channel maybe the video still there...
If you don’t like “ear worms” under no circumstances should you listen to Doki Doki Morning!!!
This is not the best intro to BM although it's very good. They're the originator of a new genre and are still unique after 13 years - no two songs are the same but they're almost invariably good. Loads of choice - I like Kagerou or Monochrome (live) or matbe headbanger legend 97. Great reaction!
They made a song with bring me the horizon wich is really good to, with a bit different vibe tho.
Mentioning the song title, ‘Kingslayer’, might help them find it.
@@rickwagner- Oh yeah I forgot to mention the song name
