UCSF's Dr. Mark J. Pletcher talks about the finding in his study that suggests low to moderate use of marijuana is less harmful to users' lungs than exposure to tobacco, even though the two substances contain many of the same components.
I'm fully convinced about smoking marijuana before swimming.
1) I'm more relaxed
2) I float better
3) I hold air longer and more comfortably
4) I swim faster, farther & need fewer strokes per length
5) I can isolate and work on certain areas easier(the kick, breathing, balance, minimizing drag, etc)
6) Slow motion flip turns
7) I'm more focused
8) It's more fun.
9) It feels awesome to break into a sprint in order to pass somebody
10) I'm high!
My girlfriend smokes a bong before going swimming for exercise and has also fallen in love with it. I have to admit smoking before any aquatic activity is pretty awesome in it's own way. Water takes on a whole new meaning lol.
The drawbacks of being high while swimming
1) I don't keep track of the laps very well. (But can if I really feel like it)
2) I may overexert myself by swimming too fast. (Noticed afterward, when I feel like a nap)
3) Sometimes I stay in too long and have to pay an extra euro fifty for an extra hour.
