Great review. Definitely the price range I'm looking in. Your channel is by far one of the most helpful I've found. Really appreciate your content. Thanks from a fellow Coloradan
Great review. I habe yet to see any one mount one on say a jeep or cherokee..what roof mounts would be best or weight of tent an mounting. Just alot of questions sorry
I got this tent and for the price i cant complain
Rewatched to catch what I missed at the beginning. Thank you for sharing this review on the hardtop roof tent.
Thanks for checking it out. Overall I do think it’s a great bang for the buck for a RTT
I have basically the same exact tent without the pop out from naturenest. I like the tent a lot. The only issue I had was the seal would leak when driving in rain and the inside of the tent would get pretty wet. I added another seal on the bottom side and it has fixed it. The seal on this tent is the same so I’m sure it’ll also leak the same way.
I have a few buddies who have this topoak and haven’t complained about that but it’s good to have that comment on this video if that happens to anyone.
My topoak works well. no matter I'm camping in it or driving. They have 1 year warranty, so I don't really worry about it
Thanks for the review! How rain proof is the tent when it's open? That skylight in the fly makes me nervous.
Waterproof won’t be a problem at all!
Good review. I decided to shell out the extra money for a GoFSR odyssey xl bc I’m tall and camp with kids but topoak was on my shortlist
Yeah I think they are both great options but I recently just got the same tent not in XL. I think the topoak hits a different segment of the market though as the price difference of this one and the FSR is a bit different.
Can you tell me the total height when it’s close please
Looking forward to your review, I will catch the replay after work. 👍
Looks like you made it to the premier anyways
Superb review bro
Thanks boss, Appreciate it
If I was ever to get a RTT, that’d probably be the one.
yeah It's really great, cheap too
Sorry if I missed it, but how long is the mattress? do you think someone who is 6'6'' would fit, or look elsewhere? Thanks!
So the mattress is exactly 6’7” which is fairly long but I think you might be bumped up against the narrow section. That’s true of most RTTs though because almost all of them are 6’4 or 6’7
Love all your videos. While I have an iKamper 2.0 already, I just enjoy having your videos playing in the background while I work. However, what do you do with all the tents you’ve reviewed? Sell them? Or are these sponsored where you send them back?
So I will have more on that very soon, but let’s just say I have a storage unit full of them and some in my back yard. I’ve sold a few of them and some tents I just got to test and return but …There’s something huge coming with all my gear I’ve built up very soon. I can explain it privately on IG but right now I can’t talk publicly until the wheels get moving on the process.
Sweet review. I'm assuming you have to buy the insulation and ladder separately?
Yeah the insulation is separate. I don’t think it was too expensive but let me check.
It’s $100 for the insulation but unfortunately it’s out of stock at the moment.
You don't have to. My topoak comes with everything you need, they have a list on their website, check it out
Where to get the insulator layer? Thank you.
Topoak sells it on their website
Can you leave your sleeping bag in the tent and still close the tent?
Depends on the size of the sleeping bag. I don’t use sleeping bags but I could easily leave my blankets and pillow in there. You can’t do all that with the insulation layer installed though.
@@OXFOOT Can sleep 2 comfortably and 3 is a squeeze?
@@gr8outdoors 2 comfortably 3 would be a squeeze. Thats true of most RTTs that aren't like an XL like the FSR XL tents or an iKamper
Looks identical to the New San Hima tent for $1200 on Amazon now.
Looks like it. I think this one was first but they do look similar, same price though.
Can you sit up and lean against that slope
I personally wouldn’t because it’s just one bar and some fabric. It would be fine here and there I’m sure but if we are talking proper care and longevity of the tent it could potentially damage it.
The discount code isn’t working at the moment.. fyi 😢
Sorry, it was oxfoot10
Changed it in the title as well, thanks for pointing that out
