    When I see all of this, I'm so much more happy with my Sheepie Bookara rooftop. It's so much better on so many points. And considering that Europe is usually more expensive, there is hardly any price difference. Thanks for your video nevertheless.

    This looks like a great economic clam shell. I have to say this. You provided your viewers with the most thorough review I have ever seen of any product. And. I cannot wait for future videos. I’m rigging my 4Runner for some easy over landing. Hopefully we will cross trails in the future. Take care.

      Thanks, Joe! It looks like you’ve made a review or two in your time. I see from your channel that you’re in LA. I’m in mid MO, and if you ever head this way I’d like to meet up and hit some trails.

    @5:50 On your tubular lock key, you can sand or grind that little pin sticking out on the side if you want to be able to pull the key out in the open position. Then you can open and close your tent without the key. I have the same key in my toolbox at work and I don't like that the key stays when I unlock it and it won't come out unless I lock it so we grind our keys. Great video by the way.

    This tent seems pretty sufficient for the price. You definitely cant beat that price for a hardshell RTT. Could another person sleep inside there with you? It looks like it, but another review would be nice to see to answer that question. Great review!

    Bottom line is that you get what you pay for. That being said, for the money this will be hard to beat considering it’s half or a third of the cost of an Ikamper. The test of time will tell the tale of whether or not the budget rtt is the way to go or is it better to buy once cry once with a premium rooftop tent. Great review!

    I dont know, these rooftop tents seem like more trouble than they are worth. Seems like an expensive way to still get wet and have all the setup work of a ground tent. I have been going back and forth between this, a camper shell, or a tear drop trailer. I am taking these tents off the list. But thank you for this objective review. Very helpful

    Great review! I have yet to buy a rooftop tent for budget reasons. This one looks like a great first tent that dont break the bank. But would be curious to how well it keeps the dust out traveling down dirt roads?

    From South Africa clock in number 56 --- OK, so I've lived with a rooftop, and candidly I'm no fan.
    Firstly, one cannot stealth camp with a RTT (rood top tent) , so during a road trip, unless you book into a campground you are at high risk, bear in mind, I live in one of the most dangerous contries in the world
    Secondly, once you are up there, anyone who has nefarious intentions, has trapped you in
    Thirdly, at 64 this past Friday, there is no way I can deal with multiple night time piddles.....and yes ,I do use a pee-bottle, but that's more for emergencies like if it's raining...
    So, that's my opinion for what it's worth

    I’m currently building a kayak trailer from a jetski trailer and added a truck bed rack and am wondering can I mount it to the trailer I mean I know I can but I mean is the ladder adjustable because the tent would only be like 5 feet off the ground maybe less?

    • @AdventureGearTV

    I just don't have a ton of confidence with how much roof sag (and little support) there is up top. Even my softshell has tighter fabric to shed water, so I'm thinking of going to a different style. Any thoughts about the sag?

    • @AdventureGearTV
      @AdventureGearTV  5 месяцев назад +2

      There’s a bar that pops outward to support the roof. I didn’t realize until after making the video that the two straps pull the bar taught and the sag is gone. It’s still a solid tent. And it looks much better with the cross bar fully in position.

    Those bumps don't automatically improve aerodynamics. Keep in mind, a golf ball is spinning very quickly. And car racers that aren't rule limited with surface treatments would all do this if it were faster. It "may be faster" with this tent. But bumps in themselves don't actually mean they make a certain structure more aerodynamic
