SIG P320 Issue Demo vs HK VP9

In this video I wanted to show a quick physical demo of *one of the factors I believe *may be related to the possible issue/s with the P320- using a similar but more realistic approach of a method that has been used by others to demonstrate its, non-issue.
The extensive testing and write up found here: grayguns.com/n... - by Grayguns, is extremely comprehensive, technical and interesting.
However, to my knowledge, all of the mods performed to the outdated non-current production pre-voluntary upgrade pistol to demonstrate its results- even under live fire with a wide array of ammo- was potentially flawed in many ways.
The pistol to my knowledge was never actually fired in technically ‘and physical out of battery’ condition , it was modified to remove the barrel shoulder to not allow it lockup- and the chamber was reamed toward the end of the chamber (to simulate a partially but uniformly unsupported case)- all to ‘simulate’ adverse conditions in a pistol that itself isn’t a representation of the current offering.
Bruce’s approach is excellent and informative from that perspective , but I think misses a few key elements such as actually firing the pistol when the barrel is tilted, not against the breech-face in an actual but not simulated out of battery condition- among other factors.
There are many ways to look at this- and I think the viewer will immediately understand why after watching this video.
There’s much more information to come, but I felt it necessary to start with this shorter demo video as a lead in to a larger more comprehensive dive into it and some additional backstory.
I also compare this to the HK VP9, and, all in all I believe it’s a fairly dramatic demonstration- and worthy of further discussion.
