You have to wonder why an entire generation would suddenly decide to step away from such magnificent chord progressions, melody lines and lyrics that speak with such heart.
No one walked away - these people were jazz musicians and jazz is no longer popular so no one is trained in jazz rhythm and chord progressions...And the masses who listen to pop music are satisfied with less and less.
and you are so very, very right. we still have to wonder what happened. end of days music we get here? this is what it is supposed to sound like, you know. not to mention all the other cultural collapsing in our lifetime. a lot more than sad, it is. downright depressing. @@ryanbelknap
Music SHAMEFULLY is NOT as beautiful as this anymore. Music has really gone down hill since these days and it's a shame. It seems we'll never experience music like this again in our lifetime! People need to keep it alive!
Thank you Alan and Marilyn Bergman for your English lyrics ensuring the beautiful compositions of Michel Legrand are heard throughout the English speaking world. R.I.P. Marilyn.
Love this song!! Like it when it goes from minor key into major. My daughter ran into Tony Bennett at an art store in Manhattan (57th st) She was about 7 but she knew who he was. He was such a a kind, gracious gentleman towards my young daughter.❤😊

UTUBE COME RAIN OR COME SHINE BY JOHN BAVAS
Not one of Tony's best. Sorry. The best version I've heard is Stacy Kent.
Try listening to Scott Engel of the Walker Bros
He just needed a different back up ensemble. Jack Jones...
When I first heard this I think Michel himself was singing it . I may be wrong it was back in the mid to late sixties, so a long time ago.
Nope
