I tell you I mean it
I'm all for you body and soul
I can't believe it
It's hard to conceive it
That you turn away romance
Are you pretending
It looks like the ending
And less I could have one more chance to prove, dear

Dearly missed. Hope they sing somewhere in whateer afterlife
Great souls will never disapear my friends
I will never forget Amy saying after her big Grammy night that she didn't cry because she'd won, but because Tony Bennett had said her name.
Same sis
That moment was precious ✨❤️
She was starstucked by Tony Bennett... JazzyT.
I'd kill for an album of Amy Winehouse singing covers of old classics. Her voice was full of soul and sadness.

How about " The Man that Got away", Amy singing Judy Garland's song
Check on KaylaSummer_ she is only 18yo a real power house with the similarities to AW
The way she smiles at him and looks at him is SO sweet. You can tell how much she admires him.
is it her?

You both will forever be missed. Tonight I will be listening closely in case I can hear your angelic voices reunited. Rest in peace, Tony. Rest in peace, Amy. 💔

Seeing this comment is so heartbreaking to me💔 they’re both gone but are in heaven now 😊
Do mediums really exist? Probably the can capture a recording of them together in heaven.
I agree. This has been a bad year for losing great contributors to the arts.
I'm a rock fan...but, Tony, you were the best ...RIP

Two legends in one frame. Now both of them reunited and singing this song in Heaven. Rest in peace Sir Tony Benett 🕊️

She idolised this man. This must HAVE been one of the greatest moments in her life.
@@Freiya2011 well, when you're really a fan of someone you'll never think they're not as good as you think they are, let alone you're better than them. Seeing them both singing, I don't really see the appeal for him, because his voice is kind of "flat", as you said. But that might be 'cause I grew up listening to Amy, not him.

RIP Amy Winehouse (September 14, 1983 - July 23, 2011), aged 27

So true❤🥲, Amy was my childhood and now a childhood figure for 70+ years is now gone. There together again 💔
I read Tony tried to help her get off drugs, too bad he didn't get through to her in time.
@@azvascos7542 Actually Tony said she was off drugs by that point but she was still drinking and that's what killed her.
She looks so pretty, so happy so alive here. It makes me feel sad for not having her around anymore.

Had they allowed her to make music the way she actually wanted to, and had she been given more opportunities to work with and be around people like Tony Bennett, she might still be alive today… ❤
@@stefanierahn1558 That is sad.

Love, love...
Great for you lol, I can't make out a single word.
Damn it I'm a hunter!
This was Amy's last recording. When Tony tells the story he chokes up. This woman was a gift from the gods...a voice that was as pure blues as any female voice that ever dared to venture into that special world...heartbreaking to think of what we lost, what might have been.
I agree
If that's true, then it's kind of 'poetic' that the last note of her entire recorded repertoire was a major 2nd dissonance over a tonic chord, (with none other then Tony Bennett himself holding that tonic!).
You can't teach a person to make those kinds of musical decisions, they have to just... feel it and know how to express it.
I also love Tony's reaction and how he so effortlessly goes with it.
A less experienced singer might have assumed it was a mistake, and stopped singing.
Wrong, she recorded in Africa not long before she died. Most of it was unusable.
pablo mango 😢
what a unique voice.. glorious. sad indeed..
her cute little smiles, being so humble and happy to sing with him.. So gorgeous
In the Amy movie, she was so nervous and kept messing up. She just seemed so awestruck to be in the same room as him. Just really sad to have her gone.
Yeah she was a real genuine artist. She didn't care about fame.
+Kaitlynn Koppenhaver and Tony seemed so incredibly sweet and gentle with her. He had to have known just how fragile she was, and that makes me love him even more. 💙
+Lola D IM SURE she looked cute with a needle in her arm too
+Ping Pong well aren't you just full of rainbows and sunshine. The people who were supposed to be there for her, to help her, failed her miserably. No one *wants* to be addicted to a substance. No one *wants* to be an addict. She needed her management, her parents to do what was right for her, not what brought the most money to their pockets.
Amy's voice is like the one and only best sounding trumpet in this universe
I can't get enough of her voice. It's hypnotizing.
It is brass …great post

If I could bring anyone back from the dead, it would be Amy. Not only because she had so much more to offer, but because she deserved a second chance. I feel like if she had been surrounded by the right people, she would've been able to get back on track.
I would've loved to be her friend. It seems like she really needed one.
I used to think exactly the same as you do wishing I could have been her friend because she needed one. But after obsessing over her life and reading and watch everything there is about her I discovered that she was not alone after all and she did have many amazing friends. unfortunately she was in love with the wrong person and I wouldn't even say love I should say she was caught in a fatal spell. rest in peace Amy you will live forever with us through your music.
+BLTKellys It's hard to care about someone who is mentally ill. I would know, considering I am. Sometimes you can't provide "help". Sometimes all you can do is provide support and be understanding and not judgemental.

She doesn't feel like she is worthy to sing with a legend like him and yet she is a legend in her own right and if they are still singing together in heaven then that's a place i want to be
Wow Amy Winehouse had a classy voice. She's like a singer from the 40s and 50s brought back to life. Jazz and blues fusion love it! ❤
Can't find a song about friends, this is a song by an African American musician from the 50s, forgot the name! Amy sings it in her own way. Please can you help me find its name?

The only thing she needed was LOVE.
NOVIT in the end is was her heart that gave out. A result of years of eating disorders, which weren’t helped by drug and alcohol abuse. So sad.

Nope, she needed help, and those around her didn’t give it. A tragic and abused young life ended unnecessarily.
Especially, first of all, she needed to show love for herself.
All she ever wanted was love 💞
The way she looks at him and smiles is heart melting... Mutual love and admiration...
She looks happy and loved for who she is and her talent appreciated by a fellow artist. Beautiful

Tears are in my eyes. I first heard this song while browsing one afternoon in a local Barnes & Noble bookstore a little over 10 years ago. It moved me so much that I had to fight back tears.
He was her childhood inspiration, he was an admirer of her talent.... one of the most beautiful collaborations ever made! Truly brings tears to my eyes.
It was doubtless her most proud and memorable moment and you can see she adores him. She becomes quite the little girl in his presence. A beautiful snapshot of a special moment
Tony Bennett always sees the potential in misunderstood talent it seems.
Edit: y'all won't stop commenting that everyone knew she was talented, I know that. She was a misunderstood talent in the sense that everyone was using her as the butt of the joke, using her as as target practice in media and conversation. She was presented as an alcoholic mess and a lot of people didn't see past that. Please stop saying the same comment lol

I watched the documentary AMY for the first time last night. They showed the making of this moment with them together. And she was so nervous and skittish and said "I just don't wanna waste your time. this needs to be perfect" and Tony Was so sweet, understanding to her. What a beautiful match to have sing together. Both phenomenal
I haven't seen the movie yet but I've reserved the DVD....Heard it is a heartbreaker. I love this woman to the core: her talent, her person, her tragedy. Nobody sings like her: raw, honest and so soulful your heart hurts every time she opens her mouth. Why did she have to go so soon..... I wish I was her friend as she went into a downward spiral -- I would have done everything in my power to help prevent the substance-abuse from destroying her.
The romance in this type of music has always been sensational. Tony Bennet, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and so many others that have sung along side some of the classiest women whose voices just sweep you off your feet. The love and the deep emotion was captivating. The stuff people listen to these days is senseless garbage. How i wish the days of love and romance were back. I truly feel people are hungry for classy music and are sick of rap crap...
