i thought this was going to be about the design philosophy of the old gear in general, not "why did the launch version of tier 2 look weird? it used level 45 gear as placeholders" I mean, I guess I learned that tier 2 didn't always look like tier 2
For sure the first sets that came out in Wotlk sucked ass. But the last few sets that came out before the xpack ended. I have to admit we're really good
I disagree with the initial claim that those sets are ugly idk i think theyre more interesting than a lot of sets in guild wars or ff14 i think it may be the saturated colors and the detailed but not over the top look BUT i also like the updated stuff too
I thought the video was gonna have more... information... than it did.
welcome to a vaulty video

Many of the original armour sets where very good. Quite detailed but not over the top.
Tier sets started going downhill in Wotlk. TBC still had that good designs.

Nicely done. They loved major league shoulder padding!
Honestly some of the placeholder sets have their own charm

A lot of the vanilla sets looked much better than anything that came after.
Pala T2 forever.
Well this video was a nothing sandwich, it probably took more effort watching this video than it did to be made.
