ain't no way someone actually said in 0:50 "i decided not to vote because i wanted to learn more about what both parties and candidates could offer," as if its not the entire point of the months- even year-long pre-election/campaign season. as a member of gen-z, i am so sorry. i really thought we could do better.

They literally switched out the democratic presidential nominee what do you mean “even year-long” or “months”, 106 days is not that long in campaign standards. Some people vote based on candidates and not political party. That voter didn’t want to vote for Trump without knowing harris more, and didn’t want to vote harris because he didn’t know her more, it’s not that hard to comprehend. Switching a political party nominee has serious implications. That’s the cost of the gamble.

0:52 "I decided to not vote because I wanted to learn more about each party". Where is the logic?? If you want to learn more about each party, then do it. Dont wait until after the election and continue to say you want to learn more. Just be honest and say you dont care about politics or the wellbeing of our country. If you truly wanted to learn more, and it was a priority, you would have done it. If you had even learned about both parties and THEN decided to abstain, that would be more valid than just failing to educate yourself.

But the evidence is that he didn't seek out that information enough to decide for a party or decide not to vote, because he's still claiming this as the reason. If it were a priority for him, then he would have done it. Clearly learning more about each party wasnt enough of a priority to decide on a candidate or not. Had he done his research and decided not to vote because he doesn't agree with either, that would be more valid than waiting until after the election and STILL saying "I want to learn more". Clearly he didn't care enough to learn the candidates and what they stood for. If this is how he thinks, he is right to stay home.

Such policy has been for the past 60 (some would say more) breaking apart all our intermediary civic institutions (clubs, associations, churches). Because all those things require obligations along with rights. Families require obligations above autonomy and consent and autonomy and consent are the Democrats top values when considering any social policy. So they are bad for societal flourishing right now whereas Trump might be bad in 4 years. Easy pick.
Furthermore, having a democratic republic requires the feeling of being one people. Of having enough in common that losing doesn't feel like the end of the world. But by breaking apart the types of intermediary institutions and declaring everyone autonomous rights bearing creatures without equivalent obligations, the left has made every election existential.
So if it turns out democracy isn't going to work out. (And I very much hope it does). Better the person in charge be right wing then a progressive social engineer.

Left leaning men were offered nothing by the "left wing" candidate other than pejorative and condescending remarks from her and the Obamas.
Why would Harris go on a podcast and say she can't think of a single law that dictates what men do with their bodies? I am a leftwing young man and I STILL had to sign up for the draft to receive a state driver's license, receive federal student aid, and to hold a govt job. But here we have a major candidate alienating young men for no reason. The argument for female bodily autonomy itsself is sufficient without speaking condescendingly at men.
On the party website there is a "who we serve" panel with every group represented except men. Why would young men feel seen in this party?
Young men are behind in education, employment, and are more likely to die of 14 of the leading 15 leading causes of death in the US. Yet the Democrats can't find anything to rally young men for them. I voted for Harris, but the party's messaging to young men was abysmal.

@@AndrewSouthworthTrumps pandemic response was objectively bad you can’t whitewash his mistakes 2021 the pandemic was on the steep decline and Biden was actually doing a lot of good work with the American rescue plan which actually helped ordinary people through child tax credits and stimulus checks the problem is Biden didn’t fight for his agenda like trump does and he willingly gave up on fronts like raising the minimum wage, universal paid leave and even free community college. If these things passed 2024 would’ve been very different

That only happened because the economy was shutdown. Before economy was shutdown, economy was booming.
