yes it’s a real story ! his father and aunt passed away . they were the ones that mostly raised him . and at the end of the song it’s his dad talking about how mgk almost died at birth
His dad left him for the church when he was young, he only began to repair the relationship right before he died
I don’t think that’s even true
@@masonbarto4003 oh it is
No not what you says the other guy
@@masonbarto4003 OH sorry i didn’t see
this song is his story with his father and aunt, both of them passed. his aunt raised him for part of his life after his mom left when he was young. his dad died 2 years ago i believe and his aunt when he was a little younger. Him and his mom reconciled recently
React to more MGK he is a very versatile artist. Love hearing your thoughts on different music!!
yes!
FR! we need more mgk on the channel!!!
Bro that would be sick asf
I've been wanting to see him react to more mgk. So many of his song have such deep mean. You can also tell that he has some mental health issues in a lot of his music. Would love to hear his opinions on it.
Mom left for another guy and his dad was an alcoholic and they didnt speak till his dad was passing from cancer .the aunt he lived with who also passed from cancer .He hadnt seen his mom until actually just recent since he was really young !
his dad died from cirrhosis of the liver from alcoholism. but yes!
Sad but true story 😢 thanks for this one and please do more from MGK as his life lies in each of his songs’ lyrics and reveal such a brave and beautiful soul 🖤💖
A couple more by him -
Pretty toxic revolver
In these walls
Play this when I'm gone is a good one
I’m not a huge MGK fan but I really like this album. I almost cried the first time I heard this song, I wasn’t expecting something so vulnerable. Great reaction as always💐💐
Mgk gets a bad rep, but he makes some of the most vulnerable music. That alone should be a reason why he’s a great artist.
Agreed l
This song and album was real but killer drum work by Travis barker
@@samuelpankonien4084hotel diablo album is him completely bareing his soul glass hourse and burning memories are songs that make you cry.
love mgk and his story. i relate to him so much and his music has really been my comfort in dark times
First artist ive genuinely related to lyrics and person wise ya know?
@@grantlang1187 same i feel and relate to his pain like no other artist
When Tom pauses right before the drop 💀 6:40
😢
@@ReactionTherapyOfficial 🤣 i thought it was funny
sooo happy you are listening to mgk. he is my favorite artist. please please please react to more of him!!!
More MGK please. You can react to play this when i'm gone
been waiting for this, another good one is play this when i'm gone, originally a suicide note to his daughter turned into a song
I’ve been really waiting for this for a long time super hype. Keep putting out great content
Great reaction video as always! Love to see MGK on here. He’s so in depth with his lyrics and has to be one of the most emotionally open artists out there. I would HIGHLY recommend a couple of more songs by MGK. Especially when it comes to mental health, I would recommend “Death in My Pocket”, “Pretty Toxic Revolver”, and “Play This when I’m Gone”
he wrote this song about his father that passed away🙁
It's about the loss of his dad and his aunt who was like a mother to him
Please keep doing more MGK! A lot of his songs talk about mental health
i waited so long for this...HYPED🤩
play this when i’m gone 🙏🏻
I love this song, I was lucky enough to see it live early this month, truly magical
This is a true story about his dad and aunt. All his music is personal story telling. His rock or rap, it's all raw and real. Vulnerable is a word I would use to describe Colson (MGK)
Please do “In These Walls” By MGK
Hope to hear more mgk on your channel he really is in his own lane and I love every day of it LACE UP
We want more mgk
This song makes me think of my oldest sister Lori who died 3 months before I was born so even though I never got to meet her she has been a big part of my life
Story of the Stairs by MGK would be a great one for you to do imo.
great reaction!! please check out MGK - play this when im gone or twin flame. Probably his two most meaningful songs alongside this one
Mirror by lil wayne feat. Bruno mars
I love this because of some of the people that I have lost that have died or killed themselves with suicide or drug overdoses , this song hits me deep on multiple levels since my oldest sister died 3 months before I was born in a tragic train accident
my dad passed away in 2013 and life hasnt felt the same since
His dad and aunt both died and it is a true story/tribute, both raised him. He also never knew his mom.
this was the video i had done for my live reaction. i love it haha
Do more MGK!
Please do more mgk!!!
Gotta go through mgks whole discography. Dudes so versatile and so many people are able to relate because he’s a down to earth dude who’s struggled in life like so many others
This is a very sad real story, much like my own but with different people. His mom abandoned him as a child,, his aunt who is his dad sister raised him, but he didn't get along with him growing up. Aunt got cancer in 2019ish and asked MGK on her death bed to make up with his dad! She passed away.... she was his mom figure in life. He made up with dad, bonded over music and started writing rock songs with dad instead of his normal rap genre. Then after reconnecting with his dad, he's TOLD by the doctors his dad is gonna die in a few months... and he passed away . I BELIEVE THE 3RD VERSE OF PASSING is for Chester the lead singer of linkin Park who became a mentor to MGK, and he committed suicide and MGK was HEARTBROKEN. I KNow He lost alot of people. This song kills me. It is amazing and I never related to another song more in my life. I lost my 1st fiance in the 9/11 attacks, I lost my brother and my sister in law, my 2nd fiance passed also, as a well As my uncle, my cousin, about 6 friends AND MY BEST friend of 30 years. I lost everyone since 2001, like a domino effect, it has been HARD TO BE THIS LONELY when all you trusted and loved is gone. I love MgK. (And NF) they are real and raw and have hearts that noone can imagine how they hurt and put it all into their lyrics. And MGK gets hated on so much for this to, it's sad. He also had a miscarriage last November with his fiance Megan fox he wrote a song about you should listen to called TWIN FLAME, and one he wrote for his teenage daughter called WHEN IM GONE (I THINK that's the name) so she has a song to listen to for her WHEN HE DIES . THIS IS A deep soul, and he deserves alot more respect then he is getting from his rap fans for his genre switch, which he will be doing a rap album again his next release. If you need MGk songs to analyze- he's a GOOD ONE to analyze cause you will go real DEEP into a extremly talented but a man with many scars. He knows " there's no happy endings", and in some people's cases no matter how hard you try, HES RIGHT!
His fathwr and aunt passed away around the same time and rhey were the ones who raised him. Mgk is a very troubled person with alot of emotional baggage and it comes out alot in songs like these
More MGK! He’s a very in-depth artist, that’s coming from a life long Eminem fan. Screw all that beef stuff
You should watch the visualizer to this song. It’s really moving and describes the exact feeling of loneliness perfectly
react to entire MAINSTREAM SELLOUT album :)
It’s about his dad that passed away from cancer not to long ago and his mom left when he was a teenager
Please do more MGK!! All his songs are from the heart. He is one of a kind
You should react to The Return by mgk. It's explains a lot about his past.
The end was his dad talking about him, you should listen to merry go round by him and dark side of the moon if you want to hear some sadness
Pls so more mgk I love his Music so much and yess its a true Story
His mom left when he was really young dad was a drinker they fell out he then later reconnected with his dad who died like a year or so later also his aunt who was basically a mom to him beat cancer then ended up dying from it a few years later. I know it's alot of pain but he did recently reconcile with his mother which as a long time fan is good to see
I just watched this and your other reaction to MGK (Glass House). I love your reactions so much! I highly recommend more MGK. He's helped me through a lot of mental battles.
omg thank you!
Yo! Hope you do MGK again
More MGK
React to death in my pocket by mgkkk this channel really need to do that reaction 😭😭😭
You should listen to papercuts it's another good one about his dad
Real story. Mom left him and his father at the age of nine. His relationship throughout most of his life with his dad was really strained. His aunt mainly was his care taker. Aunt died from cancer (IDK the exact dates but some time between 2014-2019 I believe). His dad was a missionary out in kuwait for awhile and mgk ruined it for him for messing with the wrong person (he was trying to stop a bully bullying a minority (IDK IF THATS THE RIGHT WORD IM SORRY IF ITS OFFENSIVE)). He reconnected with his dad at the beginning of quarantine I believe but his dad was in a really bad state health wise. He tried to be there for him as much as possible. His father passed away on july 5th, 2020 (From a phone call) and around that same time after his fathers death he had a big suicide scare (Luckily the gun jammed and hes still alive thank god). I believe I have most of his "life story" down so if you want a more thought out explanation I could give it to you! :)
I'll also add that after the scare, megan, his wife, has gotten him into countless different types of therapies ranging from everything so I thank her for that greatly.
Yea his father and aunt died but he recently reconnected with his mom
The song title reminds me of another song u should react to. Justin Bieber - Lonely. He‘s singing about his early days and mistakes he made because he basically had no one to talk to and that being fame so young wasn’t easy for him.
Wrote this with him. I sent it to Col after Jarad passed away. I’ll play this with Col on 7/19/23!
You should react to Machine Gun Kelly's Tickets To My Downfall movie he uploaded it two years ago on RUclips
You should react to Machine Gun kellys song marry go round which is about addicition 😇
This song makes me think of a guy Adam Miller who was an older Punk Bisexual guy that was friends with my sister and he recognized I was bisexual early on and he was was a mentor for me when it came to punk rock and being queer
Great reaction! The title track off this album has a lot to break down. So glad he did a album like this. It's deep
They just got back together and he died a few weeks or months after to finally meeting him. Cause he was gone. But he just got back into touch with his mother. So hopefully shits getting better. It seems like it’s going good if he’s talking to his mother now.
You should react to the full album/(mini movie). At least watch it if aren't going to react to it. Brings you back to that teenage era.
more mgk reactions!!!
Yeah, my oldest sister dying 3 months before I was born shaped me because my mom was having nightmares all the time the last 3 months my brain was being formed and I actually remember the nightmares so I was born messed up being with the dark side
The story at the end is about mgk himself and what happened during his birth and that was his father speaking
Best song ever❤️
If you really want an MGK song to analyze listen to “Glass House”. It’s a great song for how you react to songs. Also might wanna look at “Candy” or “Hollywood Whore”. Basically his whole Hotel Diablo album lol
Love seeing MGK love and not hate !! #est
XXXTENTACION - ALONE PT 1
Story of the the stairs
Burning memories
A little more
Marry go round
Glass house
In these walls
Mgk is one of the greatest storytellers of our generation.
Victoria is right. Also his mom left MGK and his dad when he was 9 years old.
Jxdn- Pray
I really think you should react to HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD- bullet
Or Counterfeit- letter to the lost🥰❤
And AT THE END, that was HIS DAD TALKING about MGK. HE almost died at birth and the doctors thought he was gonna die cause he was born very big and to big for his heart. He's like 6 foot 7 or something
My boy MGK is different ‼️🔥New subscriber just for MGK💯🔥
i really love your reaction to mgk’s songs! really hope you’ll react to taurus by mgk ft naomi wild ❤
It’s about people that MGK considers family that he spent time with after he got kicked out of his house
You shouldn’t definitely watch his downfall high short film featuring all the songs
Btw I love your channel ! Can u please do a reaction to when I lie by lil peep ? When u have time of course.I would love 2 hear your thoughts as its a favorite of mine and I relate so much to it.Also no mgk was the one born with the cord wrapped around his meck and his dad was saying this b4 he passed.:)
Great album
Most of this period of his music was real stories well usually everything is with him
Still waiting on reaction to five finger death punch. "Wrong Side of Heaven" Gone Away" either of those. I promise they won't disappoint. Once you hear them, you will keep going back to hear more I promise. They get so, so deep. And cover great subjects where therapy is a must. Chris Stapleton "Fire Away". Also great for therapy talk. I know it will be away from hip hop just a little but it's worth it. And the topics they cover are things that need to be focused on and discussed. They do not disappoint. I'm going to keep requesting. I'm not giving up. you will thank me later 💯😉 their main focus is our Veterans and their mental state that light needs to be shed on. Our country can and should do better to make sure they are taken care of. I will do everything in my power to make sure awareness stays out there for them. They signed that blank check for all of us. And they deserve so much better than they are given when they return home. Help me keep awareness going for them.
I want you to react both (Rap Devil by MGK) and (Killshot by Eminem) where they diss both of em
watch trippie redd - Save me, Please. it’s one of his new singles for his upcoming album, great song with good message and a great video
react to play this when im gone, 5150, or last november
MGK is a master storyteller...EST19XX
It's about his father and aunt Barbara. It's a rather long .. very long story. Much to long to type here. There are many interviews that he talks about his story. Very deep man who has expressed his emotions throughout his music.
👏👏👏
