People who hate one this album because it’s “cringe” just haven’t realized or thought much on how they can improve as a person. I heard a lot of people saying this album has no substance, but it’s literally full of self reflection. People struggle and even if it’s not with drugs the feeling of struggle is the same. Hopefully this album can allow others to self-reflect on some of their issues rather than feeling cringed out about it
I understand but there's sooo much better albums talking about these topics that i'm baffled people like this album in particular since the vocals from mgk are bad, the lyrics are pretty shallow imo, the features don't fit at all, the beats are eh, the line delivery is stale and boring and even the name of the project feels like they're trying to make their struggles an aestethic wich feels very weird to me.
@@ImSoSpookyy then this album isn't for u. It's for anyone whos struggling with anything so that they know they're not alone. Trip deals w love and drugs and machine himself has been dealing w a lot both of those more recently. if you tried to compare this album to tkab then duh its not value is dookie, but I think we can all appreciate artists for the way they help us escape.
Did you know Trippie is primarily a singer? You should listen to A Love Letter To You 3, specifically Fire Starter, Can’t Love, Love Scars 3, Topanga, Negative Energy, Loyalty Before Royalty
I wouldnt say primarily, he is still a trap$tar but he does sing a lot and use melodic vocals indeed tho, i like both sides of him. Or honestly MrRedd has even more diversity than only those 2 sides such as Screamrap or RAGE etc 🔥🫡 to me he's a really good & talented guy for sure.

It's a great album, and Kelly is doing awesome therapy. Not many people have the guts to be this vulnerable and have the world judge them. He helps so many people through his music. That in itself is commendable. Even if you aren't a fan, appreciate the talent or the strength and courage it takes.

literally everything you said is wrong lol of course it's your opinion on the trash part. But he's got tons of talent. Just because something is heartfelt doesn't make it cringe and it's not his best but very good.
@@mattpowell8247 I do think he has talent but he doesn't use it, this album is very shallow in its themes since there are way better projects with the same themes, the JID feature is a weird choice and he does nothing in the song, trippies vocals are pretty decent but mgk just sounds bored in every song it's annoying, even the name of the project is just corny even though I don't like using that word, the lyrics are also very dumb at times "I don't do trends no more, I'm not like them no more" it's just all cringe and very bad especially when I know mgk can do better.
@@ImSoSpookyy it’s just therapy bruh you can’t really hate on something and call it cringe when regardless it’s really helping people and literally saving lives. That’s like saying it’s corny to go to the doctor.
@@gmacrylic-ft1bm This is the not so anticipated collab between Trippie Redd and the ultimate cornball himself, rapper, singer, songwriter, and a voice of a generation, Mr. Machine Gun Kelly. The title is no lie, together, the two legends finally collabed in order to deliver us one of the most boring, derivative and uninspired sad boy projects of the year. Let's start with the production because why the hell not. It's ass. What do I mean by ass? Well, it's basically the most generic trap beats you can find out there, accompanied by the same sad yet very bland guitars, keys or some synths here and there, with some incredibly tedious and sleep-inducing melodies, that are sounding more or less the same on each song, and that's basically the main formula of every one of the 9 tracks presented throughout this amazing EP. It's hard to explain how uninspired and derivative the production sounds. Like they went with the most agreeable and predictable sound imaginable, and didn't even bother to change it in any way, shape or form during the nine songs. It's the most surface level emo rap, so I salute you if you didn't find yourself very sleepy by the fifth track. In terms of the vocal performances by the guys, they weren't great. I don't know what's more laughable, when they are trying to form some interesting vocal harmonies, or when mgk does his depressed vocal delivery which actually sounds like he is about to fall asleep. I will say that Trippie had a couple of almost cute hooks and vocal sections, but nothing to go head over heels for, and mgk was so boring to the point like I almost skipped his parts every time he came in. Subject-wise, of course the album is very personal and introspective, it's literally called "genre : sadboy". They talk about the stuff you would expect them to, among mental health struggles, depression, loneliness, addictions and more stuff like this. The problem is that you could've told me that a 14 year old wrote these lyrics and I wouldn't question it for a second. Even if the emotions are genuine, the writing is dull, corny and full of cliches. I don't really feel like talking more about this project, it's actually doing its job perfectly by making you depressed because it's exceptionally mind-numbing. The review is kinda short because this shit actually brought my mood down just because of how lazy and annoying it is. Maybe I'm exaggerating and it will become my AOTY later. (Oh and btw even the jid feature was one of the most boring features I've ever heard from him, this EP is cursed).
