I can save you the Patreon sub - Got to say I loved the episode, but yes…I can also spare you the postage…you might as well hang onto this one - I wouldn’t have a clue what to do with it. But yes, keep it up.

Wow it's the man himself! Thanks for watching techmoan, we're honoured!
We'll hold on to the unit but I gotta say the idea of a techmoan reel to reel and tapeloop ambient set just brings me so much joy aha!

When I saw the Techmoan video, I thought, wow, this dodgy cassette player is like a best-in-class lo-fi effects pedal or plug-in effect 😂
Meanwhile, most tape echoes (virtual or actual) aren’t “lo-fi enough” to my ears, so thank you for your service to humanity 😅

Im looking for a shoebox style old tape recorder with stereo outs so I can monkey around with modding and bending in Stereo!! Everybody seems to think they have priceless artifacts on ebay with these old tape decks though.

Great job you guys! Been wanting to make a tape echo out of a walkman for awhile, and this seems like the best way to do it! Could you perhaps put a wiring diagram for the pots to the pt2399 somewhere? I'd love to build one. Thank you!

Always enjoy your vids. I occasionally make and sell stuff. Delays built around theses pcbs and pwm speed hacked Walkmans some brands of new ones are quite decent sounding for cheap crap, with break out points being labelled and large.
The pin 8 is a new one on me, I'm excited about trying that. For in fire repeats and screaming self oscillation put a 100k pot between the middle leg of the on board green pot and the nearest pin on C15.

Currently we don't sell this unit, however we are finalising ideas for just the effects unit without the tape player, that will go in our store hopefully before summertime!
