Thanks Karl for doing good job. When it comes to Australian immigration system, it is a shame! Too many of us being here for 7+years, paid close to a 100 000$ for schools, agents, visa fees etc... Stayed during covid, when was hard for us on student visa to find a job, schools keep sending a warning letters even before due date, with red capital letters, that we have to pay before or on that day to avoid COE cancelation (which means visa cancelation too)... Intimidating, in advance, even though our lifes are already had enough. Now, after that many years, instead of giving a PR or a pathway towards PR, no one cares. We have spent the best years of our lifes here, worked hard (everyone knows how hard international students in Australia work), so priority should be given to us and any other temporary residents who spent years in this country. Doesn't surprice me that many TR who i already know are preparing to leave this country, move to Canada, etc. I don't know the reason, but that politic is very strange, wrong and sad.

@Aca Veljko I don’t know what your situation is but this year is the easiest Australian Permanent Residency have been in nearly 5 years.
I knew friends who applied including me got multiple invitations but we have at least 80 plus points though and in my case 100 points. But some friends who didn’t wanna do anything including writing PTE, PY so all they did is took a flight to Perth and within a month they got their 491.
So what you said is totally valid till last October maybe but things have changed a lot after that.

Yep, but my circumstances are also bad, don't have a degree from overseas, here completed 3 advanced diploma courses in last 7 years (my mistake), always been doing labouring, as student visa holder didn't have many other opportunities, specially if a student wants to earn a bit more money, with a high degree of exploitation, and at the same time everything needs to be paid, schools, agents, living costs etc...
So ended up having no experience, no skill, completed PTE scored 76 points, but it doesn't help.
For many things i am fully aware that i am responsible for my bad situation, but this country didn't do anything to help us, only took advantage of us instead and now will spit us out. Unfortunately, that is how it is, not only for me, but for many other people in similar situation.

Hi Karl, have you encountered applications where applicants got multiple s56 more information request. Is it a new way for DHA to delay visa grant ? I have had 2 s56 requests, why can't DHA request all the information in one go. It's so frustrating and inconsiderate of DHA.

Hi Karl, Many thanks for your videos. Question please; I have got a positive skill assessment- but they have reduced one year of my total experience, 10.5 years to 9.5 years, should I include the one-year extra experience in the EOI? I have proof of experience for the additional year!
That's a little complicated Mohamed. You can't for NSW but for 189 and other states you can. However there are other factors to consider so please book a time.

I got that visa and I can't work for other companies and my self too
I've tried apply yesterday but I suppose that I can't because I've arrived in Australia in October/23 and I finished a course of general English.
Still many 489,190 visa applicants are here. There is no CO contact till now. It's been more than 3 years. What do we do? They took our money and effort and made us wait for years . And also grant visas to recently lodged applicants. This is unfair. Our life is stuck on this. Can't make a step in life because of this. It's very cruel . What's wrong we did against Australian immigration? Kindly solve this issue. Please grant our visa.

I lodged the final application of the subclass 190 visa on 13th January 2020. No CO contact till now. My friend lodged a 489 visa on 11th September 2019. No CO contact till now. Many of our friends submitted after us now in Australia. I don't know what's wrong with us. The agent said we can't do anything . But our life is stuck on this. How much time we can wait. We can't plan for a baby. Can't move to a better job. We lost hope . Spend so much money for this process. Kindly help us if you can.🙏

Gotta say I only know this visa’s existence today. Will take a look at the requirements etc. Maybe a better way to get out of student visa obligations while waiting for my 190 to be lodged and processed.
There’s one question though. In the “form 80” employment section, do I need to mention my current casual job that has nothing to do with gaining points for EOI and is not mentioned in my EOI at all? Do I need to submit supporting documents for my casual job? Or will my visa application be refused if I cant provide supporting documents? DOHA does say to fill the form to the best of my ability but I am still a bit unsure. Thanks.

I applied on March and still "408" is not granted, Thankfully I got my 189 invite and was saved to go back on Student Visa.

I got this visa, and to my bad luck my employee told me that there was no more work and that he had to let me go, now I don't have a job and when I try to apply for a job they tell me "Sorry, we do not offer sponsorship" but I am not looking for sponsorship... anyway now i'm in trouble because no one wants to give me a job. Agree with you Karl. Those with 408 visa should be given a PR pathway. They started it as an Govt endorsed event visa for those working in critical sector. Now those with 408 should be rewarded. Lest we forget, they are the ones who filled the critical roles and help in our fight against Covid during the lockdowns.
They should open this Visa to offshore internationals because it doesn’t matter what type of job you have. As long as you have a job offer in Australia and this would be an excellent Visa for those offshore waiting to come in to Australia. I also believe that the processing time for the work, visas are way too long because the job needs you now not in eight months from now when the Visa is granted.
