"Mild for me, spicy for you" has to be the funniest comment I've heard in a while. Thanks Mom!
Released in 1978 The 70s were a BLAST This song in the 70s PACKED THE DANCE FLOORS
I laughed my ass off when you called your mom in!!
I cracked up too. Mom is wild.
M e 2 lo I remember this in 1978 GO 70s Baby
Haven't heard this in a really long time. I also like "Tonight's the Night." Good reaction.😂 ✌
Yes for sure. Also Young Turks is a cool song
Love rod Stewart. Handbags and glad rags is amazing. Best wishes to your mom
Sometimes if I’m trying to get my wife fired up, I’ll sing the chorus to this and do a little sexy dance along with it. In 5 years of marriage it’s never worked. She just rolls her eyes and says “nope”. I think I might need to change my strategy.
You need the pants!
@@andrewhunter6708 Somehow that never occurred to me! Thanks, I’m gonna have to try that. I’ll keep you posted! Haha
Have you tried ‘The Bad Touch’ by The Bloodhound Gang?
😄
@Art Vandelay (George Constanza, is that you?) Anyway, I hate to be the first one to point out the obvious 2 Live Crew classic "Me So Horny". I know it may be vulgar (and I apologize) to some, but hey, the "clean" version was a number 26 pop hit in 1989! Different times, man, different times.
The song is from 1978 , still remember , I was 14 at that time and loved this song !
This old heart ❤️ of mine by ROD STEWERT 🎉
You go mama!! Thats mild for her. ❤
Love Rod's voice! The song Hot Legs is spicy & Tonight's the Night is spicy too! Lol
Tonights the Night is my favorite song from him but i like all his songs.
i remember this like it was yesterday listening to Rod Stewart i was born and raised in Scotland
If mama likes it I do too. Rod had many hits with Maggie May a personal favorite but his unique voice makes everything he sings special. Mama knows.
Rod the Bod. Yes he still is sexy. I love your reactions. Your eyes are so expressive snd your Mom is great.
Rod is wearing "Disco pants". They are in different colors. U can still buy them today. At that time it was the Disco era; people wore them when they went dancing. Entertainers like Rod wore them.
Yep, I had them in Hot Pink when was about 12! 😂
1978 Was a very good year for fantastic music
The drummer is Carmine Appice who was the drummer in Vanilla Fudge in the late '60s. Check out their big hit which was a cover of the Supreme's "You Keep Me Hanging On." (83) Vanilla Fudge - You Keep Me Hangin' On (1967) - RUclips
forever young is my first memory of rod stewart, it’s an awesome song you should definitely do
You should get your mom to join you in some of your reactions. Your reaction to the song was great, but nothing compared to your reaction to your mom.
You go momma!
Thank Your Mom , For recommending a Great Song !!!
His version of "First Cut is the Deepest" You will love. Not his normal sexy stuff.
The killing of Georgie and so many others after he went on his own.
Mommies and Daddies didn't get to be Mommies and Daddies without a little SPICE!😄😄❤❤❤
Love your mom. She knows her classics!
A great reaction, especially at the end when you called on mama 😂😂.... She talking facts! 🌶️🔥🌶️🔥
She said, "Mama you just as bad as him."
This comment was after the video- YES Mama Jayy!!!! Love her- speaking facts- I’m so agreeing with Mama Jayy!! 😂😅
I am 70 years and we had a great assortment of music in the days...Soul, Rock, Bubble Gum Music, Disco, etc and the dances were wild....and then I grew up.
Rod Stewart, wow there's a blast from the past. May I suggest you also listen to his songs Maggie may and mandolin wind.
You should see his Hot legs video.....mercy. I have been a fan for 50 years !!! Since I first heard Maggie Mae 💖💖💖💖💖
Rod Stewart while he was in a band called 'The Faces' - 'Stay with Me'.
I was in high school when that was released. Before the first note was played, all I kept thinking was damn, JAYY and her mom are sure going to have a heart to heart after THIS VIDEO!!!
AND THEN, y'all did..........ON VIDEO!!! 😹😹😹
Fun fact RS was also an incredible athlete! True! He’s always been known for being spicy! He was the sexiest man for many women for many years!!! He has so so many hits!!! MAGGIE MAY is a must
Sing makes you smile and laugh... sometimes that's what a sing should do.... Disco era Rod!!
The legendary Carmine Appice on drums!
I had no idea he played for Rod. Seconds into the video, I'm like, Hey, is that.....but I thought it was Vinny. I looked it up and found out it was Carmine. Blew my mind.
This is the funniest reaction video I’ve ever see! I love your facial expressions and your interactions here with your mom are hilarious!
"It's mild for me, it's spicy for you!"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Y'all too great!!!
The thing i like the most about him is that raspy voice......my favorite kind !!
Oh yes when I was kid my big sis had this going Fri-Sat. Thank you for a good time🥳.
Your mom had a great taste! My mother used to loved this video even though she didn’t understand a word. Loved your reaction with your mom
Steward is still rockin, but still liked him more in his earlear days, songs like Maggy May, Mandolin wind
Stewart
EPIC SONG....THX
There is something for every taste in Rod Stewart's catalog of music. Fast, slow, raunchy, sweet, rock, soul, blues, country. Two really great, and very different, places to start would be Mandolin Wind and Young Turks.
Glad you picked this song. This great 70s more "Disco than Rock" Rod. Forever Young sappy tripe.
Those black leather pants, that leopard tank, and those little boots--how could I forget them!? This song was playing EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME when it came out :-). LOVE your reaction--it's a fun song--listen to your mother :-)
I absolutely LOVE YOUR MOMMA!.
Can TOTALLY relate.
My grown Daughter.. has similar reactions.
Lmao..loved it!!.
He did some beautiful work in his later years. Catch him singing classics with full orchestra
Wow. This is a real blast from the past. This was the background music to some of my earliest memories. And mama-jayy rocks!
From his album, "Blondes Have More Fun." Rod was a sexy player with other album titles like, "Night On The Town" & "Foot Loose And Fancy Free." Glad to say that these are just some of the Rod Stewart albums in my vinyl LP collection. You should listen to more Rod, you will like it. ✌❤🌹
Thank you for reacting to this song! So few people do...and it is an icon, staple into the 70s. I must have listened to this 45 a million times when it came out....my Mom will still comment on how sick of it she got! Haha. Yes...spicy... Love ur mom 💘
Stand out Rod Stewart song. This one, Forever Young, and Young Turks are my top 3 favorites from him. Shout out to your mom! I love her confidence. ✌🏼
Lawd! 😅 I’ve watched this more than once! A fav song and reaction- Mama J is on point- she kills me ! Love her! 💝🔥
Great song... those keys, you'll be humming this rhythm 50 years from now
Yeah my girl loves Rod, and when she comes over I make sure to play that ...then things go good you know what I'm saying...
This is excellent. Thumbs Up !
This is my favorite Rod Stewart song!
Rod Stewart is brilliant, I have every album he has ever made !!!!!
That was a fun song... We used to sing along to it. lol... but you should hear the stuff he did in the late 60s and early 70s when he was a rocker
My mom LOVED Rod Stewart. Especially this song. Probably because she did think he was sexy. ;)
He had a popularity resurgence in the late 80s/Early 90s. That's when I started listening to him.
Anywho, one of my favorites from that time was "The Motown Song". I'd love to see you react to that one.
I love his song Sailing too, love the video with him on the water 😊
This is a stone-cold pop disco classic, hands-down! Rod has a very varied hits catalog that spans at least 6 decades with 34 Top 40 hits. One choice (out of many): "The Killing Of Georgie (Parts I & II)", a song Rod wrote that was very personal to him, and I know you will be extremely moved by it.
I wanted to point out other Stewart classics for you, but on a personal note, your interaction with your mother reminded me of how much I miss talking and laughing with my mine, who died in 2008. As I was growing up in the late seventies/early eighties, she was the one who was always playing music (of any genre) in the house (LPs) or in the car (8-tracks!). She enjoyed sharing not only the current music of the time, but music she loved of her past with me, and my love of music from her is something I will always cherish. My earliest memory of music is hearing Stevie Wonder's "Sir Duke" blasting on one of those old gigantic Hi-Fi turntable stereos! (70s/80s kids know what I'm talking about.) (Apologies to everyone if I got a little too nostalgic and rambled on, so thanks for letting me share that.)
AhHaaa! I remember this! Great reaction!!!! The "sexiest" song I remember from that time frame is "Miracles" by Jefferson Starship- THE LONG Version...The short version was clipped a lot! HAHA! My Mom would have been waiting out front with a belt!
I forgot in my previous comment to compliment you on your great reactions! You have an infectious positivity and seem like a nice person to be around. Best wishes for 2021!
Probably my most favorite Rod Stewart song is Have I Told You Lately. I also love the colab he did with Bryan Adams & Sting All For Love. Rhythm of my heart is another great song. Just a warning Hot Legs is another Spicy song.
I'm loving the First time reactions that this song gets off people in the black youtube community, and y'all seem to love it. God Bless, we like your stuff, you like our stuff, good music bring the people together.
Sister is getting into the groove of things..🙂😊 yowl!!! 😁😀 Jayyy Yes the 1970s were Spicy and good Rock...
WOW ! Have YOU blossomed :)
You have, deservedly, gained great confidence even introducing your Mum into the proceedings and she sounds FUN !!
Ask any 50 Rod The Mod fans and you will get 50 different choices but Downtown Train, I Don't Want To Talk About It, Mandolin Wind to just give you 3 :)
I love your mom, good reaction
I saw him in concert in 1991. He was fantastic! Kicked soccer balls all over the place. Great show.
What a true classic. I grew up on this song.
His songs were played at my best friends funeral. I heard someone say..boy she sure likes Rod Stewart. And they got that right.
It's Rod the Mod! Okay, by now he's riding on the disco wave (to the top of the UK chart in fact) and being parodied by popular comedians. I hope he had a lot of fun along the way.
Mandolin wind with Ron Wood of the Stones, is awesome and probably one of my favorites from Rod.
Rod is so great. He's had sooooooo many hits. Maggie May is another great one from the 70's. In the 80's he had hit after hit.
Love Rod Stewart. You should check out You wear it well, Mandolin wind, and Broken arrow. All great songs!!! BUT.. The killing of Georgie is amazing.
Rod with the matching boots and blouse. 🤘💜
Rod has played soccer his whole life, so yeah he has always had a lot of energy. Good physical condition.
Back in the day, I skated to this at the local roller rink. That was back when they had wooden floors.
He has a lot of great songs
The drummer is Carmine Appice and he wrote that song. He got his start in Vanilla Fudge and has played with hundreds of top artists through the decades.
Forever Young...Rod Stewart !!!!!!!
Mama Knows Best !
I have loved this song ever since I heard it on my grandmas jukebox in her beer joint. 😂 great song
This song is a classic, the same album that I wore out of my mom's the red covered vinyl greatest hits, played this so many times I broke it
The drummer Carmine Appice co wrote that with Rod. He was also Ozzys drummer and started out with Vanilla fudge.
Love your reactions!
Try Rod Stewart with the Faces, I quite lije when he was ib that band before he went solo, he has a nice voice.
MOM!! 😂😂😂😂
One of the first videos on MTV when it aired.
A couple of more suggestions:
1. Have I Told You Lately That I Love You
2. Forever Young
3. My Heart Can't Tell Me No
Great video... thanks!
The call to mama was great! LOL
"Every Picture Tell A Story" by Rod Stewart is a must react to.
lmao jayy your mom is a treasure for real all mom's should be that cool please tell her I think she's awesome!!!!!!!
He had several hits in the seventies, many of them kind of "spicy," but this one was probably his most danceable, since it was his one attempt at a disco song, dating to 1978, the height of the disco era. It was a huge hit. Maybe equally spicy was his 1977 hit "Hot Legs," but it is straight-up rock, not disco. His first US hit was a soft rock song from 1971 called "Maggie May," and he had another soft rock hit in 1975 with "Tonight's the Night," also spicy but less directly so, plus a soft love song called "You're In My Heart" that hit in the US in 1977. He had many more hits in the UK.
Oooo weee!!A favorite of mine- Your Mom knows what’s up! 😄 Jayy please do his song “Passion!” It gets so overlooked- 💜🌟✌️
Rod Stewart"My Heart Won't Tell Me No"
Lordy, they used to play that ALL THE TIME at the skating rink back in the day, LOL!
Check out his song "Forever Young". It's Awesome!! Love Rod!!
You two are so funny! I'm with your mom, I love this song! 🤣
Rod has been my crush for years 😍 Your mom is great!! 🤣
I think you’d love ‘Young Turks’ by him. Powerful story
Haha your reaction is mine when I first heard it back in the day.
One of the great entertainers..
