After you defeated Bowser and Kammy, you should’ve gone back and fought 1 more group of enemies, because you were super close to leveling up. When you level up, everyone’s HP and everything’s restored, so you could’ve had that going for you entering the final bat-tle. The health refill block restores everything except your star power, so if you leveled up, you wouldn’t have had to hit it. Shadow Queen and Bonetail are level 0 too, so they don’t give star points.
When she healed herself back to 12 HP, you contemplated but decided against Bob-ombast. You should’ve used it, because her defense wouldn’t have stopped it and allowed her to heal again. This seems like an idiot move, because the fight would’ve been over sooner.
