Crossbody didn't work and wide straps don't look good over the shoulder. I'm tempted to get it and cut the strap off and use a different Gucci strap.
I have a Jackie 1961 small in the brown/canvas variant and seeing Sabato’s just doesn’t do it for me. Comparing both in store they’re very different when using. I tried fastening the dog clip one handed and it was funny seeing me try.
Well the dog leash closure is a miss at that price point. So fun to see the new things ! Though the prices are nuts. Who buys these and where do they wear them? I want to see the crystal bag out in the wild in the sunshine!

So a splash of Gucci but still subtle but even if I could afford it and I love 💕 it I don’t do Patent leather kinda dangerous in Texas Humidity 😢 ok back to video tfs 🛍️👛🚢🙏😂

That lush color, the sumptuous leather, I love where they placed the GG’s, this bag sings class and sophistication. I have noticed east west style bags are of the rage right now and I’m loving it!

Ugh! That dog leash clip on the Jackie bag is atrocious! It makes the bag look cheap. That was the next Gucci bag I had on my radar but I’d prefer it with the piston closure. I know the bag is a mainstay at Gucci so I am not in a rush to buy it, but it would be a no for me with the dog leash clip. I think overall minus the mini bucket bag, I think the new designs just look really boring.
Maybe its a budget thing, you know cash grab. Use cheaper hardware but increase the price as you can't convince me the pet leash clip is more expensive to make than the piston hardware.
I agree with you about the clasp change, it totally cheapens the look of the Jackie. My only thought about why they might have done this is because the piston clasp sometimes inadvertently opens when worn under the arm. I have the new Jackie released under Alessandro, in the medium size with grained leather (which I love), and on more than one occasion have had the lock release as I'm wearing it. I basically have to sling it back so my upper arm doesn't press on the clasp. They could have easily fixed it by moving the piston release to both sides, rather than having the button in the front, but I'm sure that would have been expensive, so they went with an easier, and cheaper, option. The claw clasp does remind me of the clasps on my Mom's Gucci bags from the 80's, though.
I actually refused to buy the new jackie because the new closure looks cheap. I have to keep searching presale market for the Jackie in the older closer 😢

Gucci ruined the Jackie bag. I just found the piston clasp in black and grabbed it. My heart broke when I saw the new clasp it’s tacky and cheap. The small is $5,000 in Australia.
I actually liked some of the burgundery stuff like the shorts and skirts, but heck the price is so crazy when knowing that Gucci is not at the top of the luxury pyramide. Also knowing that Gucci is selling in outlets make me feel kind of scammed if i was to buy new. I might just save the pictures of the items i like and call it a day.

Not a fan of his stuff…… yet! And I would say a lot of his bags are giving coach vibes…. Nothing against coach I love coach but for that level of luxury there should be more depth. Especially when you go monochromatic and modern you have to bring in technicalities that are more material based or the way it’s put together. I was a huge frida giannini fan. She always put together amazing textiles, materials and it was such a vibe. I will be watching De Sarno’s growth as he’s so new. But what I’m seeing is a lot of folks praising Gucci is back and they’re happy it’s not the theater/circus clothes…. But no one’s buying it?! While i believe Alessandro’s clothes were not for everyone especially the way they were presented on the runway, they still as individual pieces has a unique look that you can’t find anywhere. I remember people lining up to buy his Gucci clothes and accessories. I highly doubt that would happen now
