Let’s take a moment to appreciate that, in addition to being a sublime singer/songwriter, Justin is a fabulous guitarist, lead and rhythm, fact. What a performance - I was blessed to see him perform live last year, he’s still got the power, still the best……
The way he sang this song with such emotion, it brought tears to my eyes. Beautiful. No one can sing this song like Justin. He feels those emotions which caused him to write this song. On an interview I saw of Justin, he was asked what is it about this song that so many people love. It's because it is the story of a man so in love that he saw through his love-filled eyes things he had never seen before but that love ended and through the agony of the words, you feel his heart being broken as he sings loudly "Oh how I love You." It is the beautiful melody, the heartbreaking words and Justin's haunting voice which reaches everyone's heart. There are sad love songs which continue to be written, but nothing can come near this beautiful but sad song. It is a song that will withstand the changes of time. Thank you Justin for all your kindness. What a gentle man you truly are.
I used to listen to this in my grandmas guest room on a transistor radio, I had to wait for it to play. Late at night there were no am stations in NE Arkansas so I would tune into WLS in Chicago, they played it several times every night, I was so blessed to catch it. It’s even more beautiful now. You appreciate music more when you have to wait for it.
Justin, it’s very difficult to put into words just how any and all of your songs, but especially this one, makes me feel. The words and how you sing them dive very deep into my heart and soul, a place that is sometimes hard to go to. This song holds some very special meaning as well as memories both wonderful and difficult. I will always be eternally grateful for all you have given, and continue to give, your fans. Saying thank you just doesn’t seem to be enough, but it comes from the bottom of my heart. Much love and I wish you all the best. 💙💙
I always look forward to Justin's videos with SO much EXCITEMENT!!! NIGHTS, is such a ROMANTIC SONG!!! I PRAY I WILL HAVE THAT IN MY LIFE SOON!! DEAR GOD!!!🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️💋💋💋💌 😘🙌
Sure enjoyed seeing you with The Moody Blues and Utah Symphony quite some time ago. Thank you for always the years, beers and tears with your music Justin. Cheers!🥃
Pebble Mill in 1994 loved that show Justin, they always had the best stars as guests...you sounded great there singing Nights in White Satin with a mini orchestra backing you, a stunning solo perfomance before, San Juan Capistrano...it was a wonderful show, aired about 1pm and I always stopped what I was doing, make a coffee and watch it and I remember being elated when you were their musical guest that day...gr8 memories of great music and memorable TV classics. 💕🎵🎶🎵👏👏👏👏
This has been my favorite song since I was 8 in 1967. I feel very fortunate that I was able to see The Moody Blues live 8 times beginning in 1981. I saw the 50th anniversary tour of 'Days of Future Passed' at the Hard Rock in Sunrise, FL in 2018 and Justin Hayward still sounded soooo beautiful!! I even saw him "solo" in 2014. Every concert I heard him sing it. Heavenly voice!! 😇🎤🎼🙏 RIP Ray Thomas and Graeme Edge.... 🙏🙏🙏
He sings so beautifully. Blessed with unbelievable talent. Thank you for sharing The music you live to create and share. What a wonderful life well lived, knowing we Have enjoyed every minute
C'est la première fois que j'écoute cette version, Justin Hayward s'accompagnant à la guitare sèche au lieu d'une guitare électrique . C'est extra . C'est là qu'on reconnaît les grands artistes .
Yeah!!! This is around the time I took my (then) 13 yr old daughter to see the Moodies when they toured the US (in Southern Cali)... next gen Moody Blues fan total... We never met but I consider you a brother Justin... :-)
THANK U Justin Hayward to bring this melancholy joy with this masterpiece ! Keep Rocking 🍀
