These videos feel like a professional developed film, they bring me joy in the harder times and are informative whilst staying whimsical, keep up the good work Chris you deserve more recognition for the hard work you put in to every film!
"Well done, Chris." Nice to see her life in the UK has taught Chiaki the withering power of passive-aggressive British sarcasm. I must say, Chris's photo has tremendous 'British man on holiday in Corfu energy; you just feel like he's going to yell at a serving staff for "Uno beero and a portion of chips."
I should say you deserve a Netflix series, given the amazing production quality but then we wouldn't get to watch it for free So thanks a lot Chris for making this and for continuing to do so!
Chiaki first made Chris suffer, then tries to have him crash through the net into the ocean and later scare him to stay out of the water.... I really like her.
I found your videos early 2019 before my trip to Japan, your channel helped me travel and see some amazing spots in Japan. And since then it has helped me get through Covid! Thank you Chris and team!

That's what I was thinking as well. Whenever you see a millionaire/billionaire on a yacht they always look so out of place. You can immediately tell: Oh yeah this guy made a fortune on the stock market or some boring shit like that. It's never the well trained perfectly groomed greek sculpture of a man in a banana hammock, it's some pudgy pasty balding guy in bermuda shorts.
I started watching you in late 2020 starting with your early stuff. It inspired me to start learning Japanese. Then I watched the OG Journey Across Japan and loved it! I've seen it probably 5 time now while studying 日本語。And now we are at the 4th journey. Your film making and technique has improved so much! From early last year when you upgraded your equipment to where you are at now! You've improved leaps and bounds! Never think that just because your stuff is on RUclips that it is in anyway inferior to anything else. You style is recognizable and striking. Keep it up Chris! You're a film maker in every sense!
It's nice to see Ryotaro once again and Chiaki, who I literally haven't seen in one of Chris' videos in years. Looking forward to see them do some epic stuff in this series.

I was so happy to see this in my notifications :) Chris and team are nailing it
Chiakis family looks so friendly and supportive they remind me of my own family
The beaches are incomparable! I miss my home island. ❤❤
The actual best travel channel that has ever existed on RUclips. Simply awesome work Chris and the whole team. I mean everyone, seriously you’ve outdone yourselves. 👏
I would also recommend Bald and Bankrupt.
From Mr. Affable to Mr. Flammable, the sauce definitely looked painful. Amazing intro with Natsuki and can't wait to see more of Journey Across Japan!
I just wished they had smeared it on toast like Marmite 😏
These videos feel like a professional developed film, they bring me joy in the harder times and are informative whilst staying whimsical, keep up the good work Chris you deserve more recognition for the hard work you put in to every film!
Natsuki is truly the gift that keeps on giving.
Such a fun combo of people. Chiaki's family home is lovely and I'm so glad she's in this series!
Geez the production quality and cinematography in all of Chris’s videos but especially this one are just always mind blowing.
This is simply your best work yet Chris. From the direction and scripting to the cinematography and music you've truly excelled with this trip.
This definitely feels like the most relaxed series. Really enjoyed this episode, can't wait for the next one!
"Well done, Chris."
Nice to see her life in the UK has taught Chiaki the withering power of passive-aggressive British sarcasm.
I must say, Chris's photo has tremendous 'British man on holiday in Corfu energy; you just feel like he's going to yell at a serving staff for "Uno beero and a portion of chips."
I should say you deserve a Netflix series, given the amazing production quality but then we wouldn't get to watch it for free
So thanks a lot Chris for making this and for continuing to do so!
Nah, Netflix would lower the overall quality and he would have to do 8 episodes, no matter what.
It would focus on gay and black japanese people only
Netflix doesn't deserve Chris. He is way too good for their bad movies and tv shows. Put this man on HBO.
@@alpt1980 yes the only thing on Netflix is gay and black people.
pay him the pateron
Natsuki is a real Photograph artist. Every photo of him turns into art.
Honestly, the most unexpected thing in this video was hearing Spandau Ballet's Gold. Great song.
Also, this made me miss swimming.
I am only at 2:26 and I am already blown away by your filming, colour grading and editing skills. It is like watching a hollywood movie.
Chiaki first made Chris suffer, then tries to have him crash through the net into the ocean and later scare him to stay out of the water.... I really like her.
Anytime Natsuki is even mentioned i get happy. I love that guy. He's so great. I love his energy.
Natsuki is the nicest friend I wish I had.
I found your videos early 2019 before my trip to Japan, your channel helped me travel and see some amazing spots in Japan. And since then it has helped me get through Covid! Thank you Chris and team!
The Natsuki scene was amazing! Absolute genius acting, filming, editing and idea of the whole scene! Really liked the colours and I can't wait for your next videos :)
Have fun!
A shame that a TV company has not hired Chris to do a Japanese Life on Mars cop show with Natsuki in the lead, set in the 60 or 70's
you can really tell everyone is genuinely having a good time. journey across japan series never disappoints. thank you chris, natsuki, chiaki and Joey 🙏 can't wait for the next episode!
You can really sense that Chris is at a great point of his life in this wholesome video :) GOLD! Always believe in your soul!
Awesome video! Love seeing Joey and Natsuki, and Chiaki inviting you guys into her home was super cool!
I honestly think Chris nailed the "out of touch millionaire" vibes most obscenely wealthy people give off in their pictures 😆
Yeah when Natsuki said “American Style” I don’t think he could’ve been any more accurate
idk. chris looked like elon on his boat.
He's British so he pulls it off
I started watching you in late 2020 starting with your early stuff.
Can we appreciate the filming of all of this especially Natsuki's introduction!!! It is so phenomenal!
Nobody else in the crew could have pulled that off and they know it.
I love this series with a passion. Chris never disappoints!
It's nice to see Ryotaro once again and Chiaki, who I literally haven't seen in one of Chris' videos in years. Looking forward to see them do some epic stuff in this series.
3:28 oooooh that theme kicking in, I feel at home again
I miss everything about Journey Across Japan, the music, the vibes and the absolute bonkers of humour of Natsuki, thankyou Chris for making a new one 🔥🙏🙏
Thanks Chris for highlighting Okinawa. It is such a great vacation spot and as you now know, you can't beat the snorkeling and diving. Great to see most of "your gang" together. Will be looking forward to your upcoming adventures. Take care and have a great week. 👍🤗❤️✈️🙏🌎
It's back!!! Love this series so much, and the Abroad in Japan videos so much!!! I've been watching your channel ever since I was an teenager, and first gaining a love and interest in Japan, and now in my Twenties and your content is still incredible, witty, and fun to watch as ever! Thank you for all the amazing content over the years Chris!!
3 and a half minutes in and already gobsmacked by the production level, props to you Chris for always taking it to the next level - hell of a job 🔥🔥
The cinematography is outstanding! It’s crazy to see just how much it’s improved over the last 10 years!
Man I have been with the channel for years now, and it is crazy to see the constant steady progression in the production quality of videos. This was so much fun, and another awesome video. So good to see Natsuki come around every once in a while :)
Honestly, this made me SO HAPPY!! Congratulations on 10 years Chris!! Here’s to many more. Cheers! 🥂
I lived it Okinawa for 4 years and i miss it everyday. Such a beautiful island and very friendly people and kid friendly island. Its nice to see you're in Okinawa
natsuki going from trying as hard as he can to be cool to dry heaving to death dramatically was the highlight of this episode tbh
You deserve your own tv show!! This videos is pure quality and entertainment 👏🏻👏🏻😊 can’t wait to next ones. Amazing. Lots of love ❤️
Oh damn, the citypop-vibes, the scenery and of course, all of you! This couldn't get any better... So excited for the rest of series!
Journey across Japan is the best series best content on RUclips! Really appreciate the work and passion Chris puts in his videos.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING !!!
Chris .. this video has blown my mind away .. from the very first to the last second 😍 everything on it was perfect !
Brilliant content !!
Big hug from a portuguese dude 🙇🏻🙇🏻
I was stationed in Okinawa (Camp Hansen/Kin.) This Journey Across Japan brings back joy and sadness from missing the glory days. This has to be my favorite Journey Across Japan yet! Thanks Chris!
As someone who’s only international experience is a week in London, and hearing about Japan in western media, I always love these series. It’s just cool to see the actual country of Japan through these series. Something you just don’t see on other channels
Yea! You can tell the videos celebrate the culture and country, without over selling it or "weebifying" everything. There's something there for everyone, the foodies, introverts, outdoorsman, etc
