Honda started off as a motorcycle company before they venture into car business. VTEC originated from race bike engines. All race bikes have tonnes of horsepower, revs very high but generates little torque , which is also the same characteristics of VTEC car engines. the FD2 was sold in india as well (no type r) , and i personally think fd2 is the best looker of them all. sadly it wasn't sold a lot because of the low ground clearance and low mileage. Indians obsession with mileage is probably the reason we don't have fun cars.

But the experience of driving a mad N/A V-TEC Honda Civic Type R is an experience to behold, their is nothing else like it. Honda has long been a specialist Brand. Trust me, i've driven all kinds of Honda's for 20 years now. No other motor company can hold a candle to Honda's engineering and enviable reliability ratings. For me it would have to be the EK9!
I think we would have needed a bigger runway! 😉
It’s always nice to hear the combination of opinions from someone old and young. Always talking about the differences and how things have changed. Nice vid, new subscriber!!
Thank you and hope you like our videos 👍
I agred with tiff...I'd have the ep3.
I love Tiff videos! Good history too. Thanks guys!
You're very welcome, thanks for watching! 😊
I am absolutely in love with my FK8
Nice, they're incredibly capable cars!
oh yeah.... i'm a proud owner of a 2018 type R
Absolutely epic guys, loved this and I think I would take either the EK9 or EP3 👌🏻
Thanks and I think you would be happy with either 👍
the FD2 was sold in india as well (no type r) , and i personally think fd2 is the best looker of them all.
sadly it wasn't sold a lot because of the low ground clearance and low mileage.
Indians obsession with mileage is probably the reason we don't have fun cars.
Glad you’re back good vid
Thanks very much Michael, glad you're watching!
The FD2 is really the star of the CTR, I feel even my 8th USDM Si would toast the FN2 CTR.
People can talk about how great and how fantastic a Ferrari or a lamborghini is ... Sadly, The spoofing Bureaucrats who we now have in governments around the world are now making sure that these cars will be no more in the near future. A Brilliant review of past and present Honda Civic Type R's by Tiff and Paul.
😍😍😍
