Yall had me using conditioners as stylers back in 2013. I literally used to do and buy everything yall said 🤣 that herbal essence blue conditioner and the macadamia line from cvs had me in a choke hold And using the conditioner as a styler never had my hair falling out, my hair was always soft and smelled amazing and the best part was that it made the next wash day easier because I already had conditioner in my hair
Honestly, a good rinse out conditioner can be a solid multi purpose product!! Aside from being a regular rinse out or leave in, it's also good to break down and detangle out of an old style prepping for wash day. Some even use them as bases for a deep conditioner cocktail. Definitely gonna revisit it again here come next wash day!
I loooooove using the Aussie Moist conditioner as a styler. It is so moisturizing and clumps my curls beautifully. Honestly, it works better for me than a lot of "true" stylers. I recently cut my hair into an (almost) curly pixie and this is the only product that helps me get at least 2 to 3 days of definition before I need to restyle. Im definitely gonna have to try these other recommendations!
Yes! I love that you are doing this video. Break the "rules" if it works and saves you money. Thank you for giving an option besides expensive stylers.
Aussie conditioner has been my favorite for years! I'm not a product junkie and I just keep rebuying that along with my TGIN deep conditioner. Works perfect for me ☺️
Kelsey I know exactly what you're talking about with the Aussie conditioner and the OGX Coconut conditioner. They are bomb as a styler. I use the OGX brand and Aussie for my wash and go's and to slick down my high or low buns. It doesn't turn white or dull looking either. Once I'm done I just rub the serum on and its sleek and has shine. Aussie's whole line is Fantastic. The shampoo, conditioner, leave in, the curl refresher spray, the 3minute miracle conditioner, the curl pudding, the curl hydration serum and so on.. I haven't tried the Herbal Essence or Garnier Fructis as a styler but I will soon. I like them as conditioners though. I haven't tried Pattern at all but I will one day. I've been wanting to.😊😊
I really love the herbal essence products they really work in my hair beautifully. And your hair looks very beautiful. thank you ever kindly. God bless you ❤
Ok so I’m not the only girlie that uses rinse out conditioner as a styler🙂 I have been using the Mielle oat and honey rinse out conditioner as a styler lately.
My #1 OG conditioner is THE CONDITIONER from PAUL MITCHELL. It has been in my hair arsenal 20+ years. ●YOU MUST BUY IT IN A SALON● don't want a knock off if purchased elsewhere & my 2nd choice is Nexus Humectress
Thank you for reminding me what works. I am so tired of testing and trying all these products and nothing works for me. And you are right, my hair loves silicones. All these new products don’t have it. I have so many containers of products and I hate everything. Going to back to basics. ❤
So glad you touched on silicones; before I transitioned to natural 6 years ago, silicones were my relaxers greatest enemy however, my natural hair does exceptionally well using them (in conditioners). As always, thank you so much for your(and your sis's) helpful content ❤
My oldie but goodie Hello Hydration mixed with the Garnier Fructis today was bomb in my curls as well. Thanks beautiful. These combos in my hair feels so good.
I haven’t used the herbal essence hello hydration in so long. Definitely picking that up and some Aussie soon! I love garnier triple nutrition conditioner as a detangle and styler. Makes my curls so juicy!
I actually want to try the triple nutrition because it has almond, olive and avocado oil. My hair loves those three. I use to use Aussie but I get a lot of hair shedding. So I think its too potent for me. 😅
I do black out at the beauty supply store too🤣😂 for hair products and makeup!! I have low porosity long natural lengths and the prayer hands/ conditioner squish technique helps with detangling and definition of my waves. I'm going to look into the pattern brand and Garnier has a nice line (especially whole blends). Thanks K 🥰
After trying all the natural stuff that has coconut oil, all my pictures where my hair looks the best is with the blue herbal essence. My hair is high porosity, by the end of the day my hair so dry I am just going to save myself the money and use herbal essence. I have literally been contemplating cutting my hair off and I had to remember when I liked my hair.
I have always wondered about doing this but I've been unsure about having a bad hair day. Thank you for these tips, I'll give these a try!👍🏽 Your hair looks great!😍
I went back to basics because I have yet to find a shampoo and conditioner that’s works like Garnier pure and clean I do use a good deep conditioner as and styler the Miele or Shea moisturizer
I can't honestly say I have ever used very many styler I have always used conditioners for my stylers. There are actually a couple of deep conditioners I use as stylers as well. This has always been my thing. Literally wash out conditioners not leave in. Lol
All About Curls Daily Conditioner!!!! I thought it was a Daily moisturizer...then I realized, wait...this is conditioner? But...the definition and the moisturizer retention...WOW!!!😮
I really enjoyed this video I’ve never thought of using a conditioner for a styler love this I’m still so new to natural hair I’m always looking for methods to make doing my hair easier thanks for sharing 💕💕
Actually it's very common in the curly community to leave your rinse out conditioner in your hair as your LEAVE IN CONDITIONER (and sometimes the ones with finer hair will rinse out about 50% of it but yeah it's super common in the curly community to just use your regular rinse out conditioner as your LEAVE IN CONDITIONER
Lol 😂 im pretty sure you guys were reason for my shopping problem back in '13 😅. But herbal essence was and still is amazing for me! I dont use it as a leave in though but i want to try it. Instead i normally just condition my hair twice. Tresemme flawless curl has been my go to right now along with the mousse and its awesome. But thanks for the nostalgia 😅 Also, ive alway been curious about something but i notice you guys have never talked about Tresemme shampoos or conditioners. Have they never interested you guys? Or have you tried them and was like nahh. Just wondering. 😊
@glamtwinz CONTENT REQUEST: After hearing how the Fructis Sleek & Shine worked on both your straightened and curled hair style… was wondering if you have a video on VERSATILE PRODUCTS THAT CAN BE USED ON CURLY AND STRAIGHT HAIR TO KEEP COST & PRODUCTS DOWN. ❤
Thanks for the video. Can anyone help me with suggestions on a hair gel for type 4A/4B type hair that is alcohol free, free of flaking and white spots on hair, frizz control. Soft to medium hold. I do not need anything stiff or crunchy. Its for my slick down hair styles on a daily basis. The only best gel I use that was the best was LaBella avocado gel that the company discontinued. Not Your Mother's Curl Talk gave me tons of white flakes on the surface of my hair and no hold at all. My LaBella gel slick down my hair with a softness but at the same time held through any weather. My hair didnt even feel gel but it was and it held. Cant find anything like it. All the gels I have tried cause flakes, make my hair stiff and cause white flakes on the hair too. Thank you. Blessings~
Please do not use AUSSIE MOIST or the AUSSIE 3 minutes miracle omg I used to swear by them my hair started coming out in clumps everytime I use it! My hair was almost waist length!!!! 😢 another YT STARTED experiencing this as well. From removing it from my wash day I’ve seen a huge difference in my hair. I had to get a hair cut so now my hair has grown back it’s a lil past bra strap length now. Working to get back to waist length. 🤞🏽🙏🏽.

When you say you use to use conditioner as a styler are you also saying that’s all you had in your hair? So no gel or mousse etc?
Thanks. 💖
Silicone is good my natural hair luvs silicone. Everything don’t work for everyone
Fact
Mine too!
I agree I remember when everything had silicones my hair loved it as well 😊
So true 😊
Definitely agree

Aussie Moist has been a staple in my house since 2016!!! I forgot all about Herbal Essence though.
I used to love the Tresemme Naturals as a styler, so sad when they discontinued it 😭
Me too! :(
They have the coconut botanical line at Walmart from the naturals line
Oh? Thanks, good to know! Maybe i can find it.@@shelby2493
Try tresseme "FLAWLESS CURLS"
Kelsey make up is breathtaking, Can we get a back to school makeup tutorial PLEASE 🥰🥰🥰🧡🧡🧡

Nexus humectress is also a great rinse out that can be used as a leave in/styler

I’ve used conditioners as stylers when I started my natural hair journey! Thinking about doing to again!
When we were poor, I used to us tresemme and garnier conditioner and eco gel to styler my hair, never had a bad hair day lol

Dermatologist, Crystal Aguh has mentioned silicone in a couple of her books. She says silicone being unhealthy for the hair is NOT true.
Aussie moist and hello hydration are my go to. I’ll put patterns on the list soon. Thanks for this video.
You definitely put me on that herbal essence blue conditioner 10 years ago and it is the GOAT. Every time I go back to it it never disappoints.😊
Silicon is great in my hair it provides more slip and detangles better
Yasss for Aussie moist I remember when u guys use to buy this one!! I am probably going to go back to using it again if it ain’t back don’t fix it.❤❤❤
So glad you touched on silicones; before I transitioned to natural 6 years ago, silicones were my relaxers greatest enemy however, my natural hair does exceptionally well using them (in conditioners).

I never knew that I could use my rinse out conditioners to style. Thank you so much for this video. I'm going to try it.
The only product i use that you mentioned is the aussie moist conditioner just to do my co wash. I love it but now i will try it for a wash and go .
I have high porosity hair and I want to try these products, Great tips. Thank you Kelsey!
Let see what I need today . Thanks, as always, Kelsey 😘

I'm convinced the girls who don't like silicone don't wash their hair

Treseme condition is my favorite I use it after shampooing my hair , it is the only thing that’s leaves my hair so soft it’s in my weekly wash day

I def want to try that pattern one. I already had it in my cart at Sephora. ❤
Girl, Pattern doesn’t miss.
Can you do a hair tutorial using the pattern product please?
Thanks for the video this will help me with my next purchase 😊
Just in time for me 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

I needed this video thanks Kelsey!!! Hope you and Kendra have a good weekend.
Please squeeze out the products so we can see the consistency. Love you❤ and thanks.
I tried the garnier fructis and the doux mousse def together. I couldn't find the hello hyration in store.
I would like to try this but unsure how much I should put in my hair.
Thank you for sharing!

Loved ❤this 😊😊
🙋🏽♀️👏🏽👏🏽Nice job...Thanks for sharing....ky
I miss the girl talks. Please bring those back ❤️💯
I loveeeeee hair videos 😍😍😍😍, immediately ran to the video lol
My hair hates conditioner as leave in
Rinse out conditioners are rinse out for a reason. They can be very irritating. Do this with caution
Thank you 💚🌞
I’m surprised you didn’t mention Treseme conditioner. I remember you guys using it as a leave in a lot.
I used that a lot back then!
Info on lip plzzzz
I love ❤️ your hair
me not even knowing what silicone is .. lol
Girl, I just clicked so damn fast lol

My hair has been doing the same thing for the past year, but I've been using the 3 minute miracle forever, so I didn't think that was the issue 🤔
🤎🤎👍🏾❤️
Kelsey you forgot to introduce yourself lol I know it’s you but never 1000% confident 😅
