I’ve always felt that philodendron red emeralds were underrated. I just find it a rewarding plant and the red stems give it a little bit of interest. I got a free cutting with one of my plant orders and now I have two good sized plants from it. May not be the rarest or the most unique, but I just love it.

The Begonia is lovely. So pretty the Syngonium, the versicolor is so pretty. They are all lovely.
my faves are the purple oxalis, asparagus fern and black pagoda lipstick plant! they're not necessarily uncommon but certainly more difficult to find in my experience and totally underrated!!
That jewel orchid is beautiful ! Also that epipremnum is gorgeous too, I've never seen that before. I would definitely buy it if I ever saw one IRL.
I think the Philodendron Burle Marx is really underrated! Its leaves are shaped like hearts and the pattern is striking! I recently got one and I am loving it! I think they are getting more and more popular though!

My favorite uncommon plant currently is the agleonema pink moon. It is so beautiful and underrated IMO. I think a lot of agleonema are so overlooked.

My large leafed Alocasia Regal Shield actually grows SO FAST and SO TALL it puts out a new leaf maybe every month even in the winter season. it has only lost a few leaves and is probably 3-4 feet tall and when i got it it was less than a foot tall maybe 6 months ago. It's crazy and beautiful and I LOVE IT!

My favorite plant that I never see anyone talk about is Philodendron Imperial Red! It’s different from the more common philos, it doesn’t trail, the leaves are huge and the space between the leaves is really short so it looks like a giant rosette of beautiful leaves. And the leaves! OMG! They come in in this pretty peachy pink color and as they mature become more of a dark bronze color, and as they get old - dark green. So the whole plant is always very colorful. I got it in a pop-up store in an 8-inch pot I think for 30€, haven’t seen them anywhere since. (except online)

I have a cardboard palm and was so worried as it’s put out no new growth since I got it in February. But now! I just saw 2 new shoots! I love how they look like fern fiddleheads. 😍

I picked up a nanouk for myself and my momma at my local Fred Meyer about 2 months ago! Mine is going crazy with growth and very pink/purple.

I have a huge philodendron bipennifolium and it's a super easy plant. I've propogated some cuttings in sphagnum moss and they root really fast. Highly reccomend for beginners that want something big and different.

I think this is the summer I finally try doing a terrarium build! I've wanted a jewel orchid for quite some time along with wanting to try keeping other begonias besides my iron cross & rex!

So glad to see the tradescantia nanouk get some love! I honestly don't understand how tradescantia aren't more popular? Especially because people seem to love bright coloured foliage, and tradescantia comes in so many aggressively pink and purble varieties! Plus it is THE fastest growing plant I know. I have a regular one and a fluminensus tricolor that I both started from 2 to 3 tiny 3-4 leaf cuttings last spring, and now both are bushy plants filling 5-inch pots! And they are literally so easy to take care of, especially if you tend to overwater, plus cuttings will root within DAYS no matter the season! Truly the most criminally underrated houseplant genus in my opinion!
Hi Harli! I've only heard of a couple of the plants you showed. The ones you showed us are all very pretty. I like the cardboard palm because it reminds me of a ZZ plant, and I love my ZZ's!
