    When I vacationed in FL we Motel hopped, kinda loved it as an 8yo, so this place would be great for me, personally

    Us bikers, we like to have our bikes close to our rooms. It's easier to pack and unpack our bikes. Plus , we can keep an eye on them. I'm French Canadian too but unfortunately, I wasn't part of this group. 🤣 They'rel so lucky to have traveled to California! Bravo, 👏👏hope they had a great trip. Bonjour à tous!👋👋👋🇨🇦🥰

    It's really cool that there is a great budget option for places to stay which are not too far from Death Valley. I can understand though with the noise due to the fact that people can park right outside your room - that would make falling asleep a little challenging even with the fan on from the air conditioner.

    When I was a kid, I loved staying at Best Westerns...always clean and a pool and it was what my single mother could afford 🤗 Only 2½ Tofers 🥺

    The room, as you said, looks to be really clean and nicely renovated; but to be frank, the whole motel atmosphere/vibe gives me the creeps. Like at any moment a drug cartel gang could bust the door down and mistakenly fill you full of lead, thinking you were the poor soul that ransacked their hidden cache! When in Death Valley, stay in a hotel, if you can. 😅
    A nice walkthrough, though.

    Great video, Chris! This Best Western is over half of what we paid for our standard room at the Best Western in Furnace Creek. Looks pretty decent, but I know what you mean. Pretty minimal. Looks pretty clean though.

      Thanks Jeannified.. yeah. The Death Valley hotels charge extortion rates!

      @@YellowProductions Just found out that my stepsister and her hubby are getting ready to go stay at The Furnace Creek Inn, where you and the girls stayed a while back. That will definitely be expensive!

    This Best Western is very similar to the one I stayed in Portland which was located near the airport off of I-205 in terms of the room design & rates. Definitely will consider this hotel if I plan on travelling through Ridgecrest in the future. Thanks for a detailed review.

    Hi 😊 did you check for bed bugs,?I thought BW had ultraviolet light to look at mattress, I guess if you are traveling with no reservations this would be good for 1nite or if you had a U-Haul! Pancake machine is unique 😃🤣👍🤗🙂👍👍👍

    Dear Chris, United is offering up to 50% off buying miles. For example, until Oct. 11, you can buy 175,000 miles for $3,062.50 or 1.75 cents per mile. Is that a good deal?

    • @YellowProductions
      @YellowProductions  Год назад

      I generally value United Miles at about 1 cent per mile -- so unless you have a redemption in mind, then probably not

    This is something I've never understood about the States. MOTEL compared to HOTEL. I thought that a Motel was more 'simple' and cheap compared to a HOTEL... but in my experience, that is not always the case. I have stayed in a really full service (almost de'lux) 'Motel' close to the airport in Atlanta, and I have stayed in a so called 4* hotel in Manhattan, that wouldn't get 2* anyware else... but there must(!) be some kind of recognized difference... or are there?!?

      A "motor hotel" is generally focused on drivers /road trippers, both in terms of location and amenities. It's not a firm rule and it's only tangentially related to quality or price.

      A motel lets you park for free, hotel usually charges parking; that's basically the only difference. Since you need to park therefore have a car, motel also have simple breakfast so you can be on your way quickly vs ordering room service or go out to buy breakfast in a hotel.
      Deluxe motels, like those around national parks, are fancy because only upper-middle and upper class Americans go to national parks therefore demands a certain quality while also a place to park their car. Manhattan hotels cannot offer parking so they cannot be motels and they also have to recoup the high rent and salary so they inflate their rating otherwise no one will pay $250 for a 2-star hotel
