  • The Salomon QST is one thing above all, versatile. While I hate that freaking word, it applies well here. It's light, nimble, energetic and well... You'll have to watch and find out what else it is.
Our first Gear Guide comes out this fall! GG22 will be available in super limited quantities and is a work of art, genuinely. This isn't your traditional gear guide, this is a collectible.

I have a pair and love them. Much easier to ski than the Nordica Enforcer. I also like how they size them. It makes more sense then some other brands.

Can confirm, these are incredible skis and very versatile. Skied them on a pow day at Alta and had some Armada 106's in the trunk as well. Rode the 106's first then switched and these actually felt better in the powder  . I really like the way these skis let me be as light or aggressive as I want to be on groomers. Great control and really playful too. Toured with them as well and while being on the heavier side for touring, still did wonderfully. I'm glad you mentioned them being good for New England, we'll find out soon enough how that goes :) Cheers!

Great video! How would you compare this to the Rustler 9 and Ripstick 96?

Any thoughts on these vs the Season Kin? The Kin looks like a lot of fun but from what I’ve read it sounds like the QST would do a little better in the deeper snow.

I’m 5.11ft tall and an intermediate skier and could not decide what size to get (176 or 183) I finally opted for the 183 but I want to start touring on them. Is the shorter 176 a better choice for someone my height that wants to use them at the resort but also put a shift binding on them and tour? Which size would be better for a 50/50 ski? Thanks!!

the 183 is the best choice, The QST 98 is a very playful ski, and tends to “ski shorter” that the length entails. you will appreciate the extra length as you advance your skiing. Also touring you will once again enjoy extra length heading down, but you will have a little more weight to bring up, but it should not be a big issue.
These skis were my top candidate to get until Moment blew me away with the Wildcat 101 (I am 5’10” 140lbs and went with the 179 over a 174). So I am rocking those proudly, and you should rock the 183s happily aswell.
