    • @random-nz7dy
      @random-nz7dy 5 лет назад +2

      It's funny that the main criticism of my team (Dodgers) was that Dave Roberts did not trust the bullpen and instead put Kershaw on the mound in a situation he's not used to being in regularly.
      Of course the difference here being that Gerrit Cole doesn't have a postseason history of being subpar in big moments. But I feel like a j hinch was trying to avoid that same situation where he doesn't trust his bullpen and gets that same criticism if gerrit Cole blows it.
      I also think it's funny that each team's best chance to win with the opposite move. Dave Roberts should have gone with the bullpen after the first out given Clayton Kershaw's history.
      On the other hand AJ hinch should have gone with Gerrit Cole longer because he has a track record that's good

      I was at that game in LA, and Dave Roberts didn’t overthink ANYTHING. He didn’t think. He blindly put Kershaw’s 89 mph fastball in, didn’t matchup according to stats, then he put in Joe Kelly for TWO innings, let him load the bases with nobody out before he moved a muscle. He said after the game that he ignored analytics and stats when he made those two moves. He’s an idiot.

    A home run and a walk. Pitches starting to hang up in the zone, location less precise. It was time to get Greinke. When Zack hits the wall, especially third time through the order, things deteriorate quickly. So it wasn't a head-scratcher for Hinch to go to Harris, a hard-throwing and highly dependable reliever. And Harris made a nasty pitch. Kendrick sliced a home run off the foul pole. Give the hitter credit. Give the Nationals credit. The game ended with Bregman walking back to the dugout with his bat in his hand, the same Bregman who helped inspire the Nationals in game six. Baseball dishes out poetic justice.

    Kellerman kept saying that the ‘Stros were 11 outs away from victory,; in reality, they were only 8 outs away: Greinke pitched 6 & 1/3 innings. So the ‘Stros needed 2 more outs in the 7th inning & 6 more outs in innings 8 & 9.

    How many times is max going to repeat 11 outs? It was 8. He keeps on being wrong in this debate. Howie Kendrick isn’t taking Cole Oppo. Not a chance. Absolutely awful decision by Hinch relying on a gassed pitcher.

    Astros historically are 1st ball swinging for the fences hitters.
    They tend to catch pitchers off guard the 1st 2 innings, then the pitchers figure them out.
    They only score within the 1st 2 innings.
    They dont bunt, they dont manufacture base runners at the top of the lineup and they dont steal bases.
    Springer is batting out of order.
    He swings for the fences.
    Correa is not smart enough at the plate.
    Going forward they must reconstruct their lineup.
