What kind of recorder is this?

Thank you for watching! It’s a baroque alto, boxwood, after Jacob Denner by Doris Kulossa. The other one is an early baroque soprano by Andreas Schwob. Greetings from Germany!

Your arrangements are nice, but not terribly "traditional". What I would really love is for you to play some extended sessions with serious Irish musicians! I have a selfish reason for this: the recorder isn't generally considered a "traditional" instrument in Irish musical circles, and even though I play the recorder quite well I always feel a bit self-conscious playing it at sessions. Your technique is a couple of levels up from mine, and you've clearly made an effort to understand the style, so it would be very interesting to hear what you sounded like in the mix with fiddlers and concertina players and so on, and to see what kind of reception they would give you. My fantasy is that in the long run the recorder will come to be accepted as a standard instrument in Irish music, with a style of playing similar to that of the tin whistle (to which it is closely related), yet different enough that it would be contributing something new.
