Why are ppl so dumb? It's recorder not a flute there's a huge difference
There is a lot of recorder players in history. The recorder was one of the most respected instruments in the Barok era, which was just before the classical era. Vivaldi and Bach wrote music specifically for recorder, and Telemann actually played it. Today there are people like Michaela Petri, Stefan Temmingh, Erik Boshgraaf, Lucy Horsch, Sarah Jeffery, and a lot of others as well. I know school recorder was something you banged each other on the head with, but it could have been violin. The recorder was used in schools because it is not very expensive and easy in the beginning. But it does get very complicated at advanced levels.

Only maybe a handful of acts have EVER made my jaw literally drop. This is one of them. To say this gave me goosebumps is an understatement. That is true talent and is nothing less than a 10/10. Just wow

I think Simon acted a bit childish and unprofessional here. Just because he doesn't like to hear flute and recorder, it doesn't mean all people in this world have to agree with him. Sometimes he sounds a bit offensive too. Besides, being a jury means he has to be 'fair' and give everyone equal chance to prove themselves despite his personal preferences.
