The one person that could make a recorder sound amazing. Medhat is a legend. Dude does what he loves, and that’s what this show is about. People doing what they love.
I think its cuz they're inviting people from all over the world now, and people who are already known for some of their talents or that already have a fanbase- Like youtubers. It's good for the audience tho, people don't want to waste money to come and see bad/boring acts.
Man, I don't care what Simon thinks. He skeptically says "where do you think you could take this to?" Well, guess what? This is real life, not a game of Simon Says. I wish you all the best, man, and I hope you can achieve ever-greater heights with a rare instrument such as this.
I don't think he hates arabs, I was born in Egypt and now live in america, it's true they force us in school to play instruments we don't like. It's more the American culture and music, but he was sooo talented he showed them wrong. I hope he goes far, I am rooting for him.

You know, I admire Simon but he for sure judges people before they start the act. This man, doesn't need someone to look up to that plays the recorder. He can be the one of the first greats and be an inspiration to himself instead of being inspired by someone else. Brilliant act, and even more greater talent! Wow!!!
There is a lot of recorder players in history. The recorder was one of the most respected instruments in the Barok era, which was just before the classical era. Vivaldi and Bach wrote music specifically for recorder, and Telemann actually played it. Today there are people like Michaela Petri, Stefan Temmingh, Erik Boshgraaf, Lucy Horsch, Sarah Jeffery, and a lot of others as well. I know school recorder was something you banged each other on the head with, but it could have been violin. The recorder was used in schools because it is not very expensive and easy in the beginning. But it does get very complicated at advanced levels.
