there are certain family members I would like to send this video to.I want to prove to them that the recorder is not the horrible instrument everybody makes it out to be. The problem is, everybody associated with these plastic things used in schools.
Is sheet music available for your arrangement? I picked up my old alto recorder because of your music love. You are an amazing talented recorder player. Greetings from Hungary
Beautiful ❤️🌈🌹👍... I think you like "dream" recorder for soprano folk music...(?)...what model do you choose for alto...??...(also single, or double hole...??)...
Thanks for asking! I use 415 handmade recorders. This soprano is a early baroque one from Andreas Schwob. The dark one is a baroque voice flute in d made by Doris Kulossa with double holes. For me it works really good for folk music! Greetings from Germany 👋☘️☀️
@@KatharinaGloes thanks ❤️🙏🌹 is there any "standard" (cheaper) alto recorder, you would recommend for folk music...??...and what are your thoughts about single vs double holes, for folk music...??
@@KatharinaGloes Thanks for explaining that you use 415 Hz instruments! I thought the sound seemed transposed but the fingerings didn't (after trying it myself) and I was very confused 🤣
Yes, many advices :) Practice without sheet music in a slow tempo. The tempo should be slow in the beginning, cause we wanna avoid making mistakes. Split the tune into at least two pieces and repeat each of them. Practice as often as you can and repeat as often as you can. I do about half an hour for a new tune. With time you will get faster. Enjoy! 💕
@americantimemachine7128......this is a scotttish fiddle reel tune as are many many scottish fiddle reel tunes in ireland. fiddle reel music is indigenous to scotland adopted by the irish in the 1800s. also, many many scottish and english sangs adopted from scotland when the irish music you hear today was adopted from the scottish style in the 1950s..
Not that it ought to matter a jot, except, perhaps, to the inhabitants of the Ayrshire village of Tarbolton, but, Scottish traditional music, maybe? Celbrating, allegedly, Robert Burns local masonic lodge?

Where you know her tool is plastic? The bad thing is she plays in a room, not in the video environment.
Nice tune
Thank you!
Che meraviglia......
Thank you!
May I ask on what recorder you are playing ? I would really love to know! Great performance
Thanks! 😎
Hint: look up where Tarbolton is and what it's famous for.
Irish? yeah right.
She took the recorder videoart one step further.
Thank you very much!
tarboltan reel is actually scottish. as are many irish reels. fiddle reel music being indigenous to scotland.
Thanks, I did not know this.

Thanks for watching and asking! No sheet music, I didn’t write it down yet. But you can find the tune itself in the internet!

I play single hole dream sopranos and dream tenor for folk. I also have transparent coloured plastic Yamaha sopranos which are great fun for sessions
Thanks ❤️🙏🌈...do you have recommendation for alto for folk ("modest" pricing...

I'm trying learn some Irish Reels to play in the pubs, but some like this one are very difficult. Any advice?

I too, am working on a set to present on St. Pat's '25 in a local brewery/restaurant, though on the penny whistle. I hope you meet your goal!

Having said that, I nevertheless think this an admirable and elegant version!
Thanks, yes, it’s scottish I think.
