From the fourth estate of the press and its imperative need to hold those in power accountable to the sitting elected officials, who despite having to bear the intense heat of the publics magnifying glass when held under the light, must still respect its importance because they are the representatives of that same publics ever changing will. He made a mockery of the sitting president and of multiple institutions that sit at the core of the country's foundations. But what is more, he did it by underlining the importance of a principle and a right that these institutions are meant to uphold and from wherein they derive much of their power. Comedy has always been a fun house mirror to hold up to society and show it its glaring imperfections magnified and distorted through hyperbole and absurdity in order to force introspection and it's something this country desperately needs right now.

Clarissa Peyton They were scared. This man came in and made a mockery of so much of what these people do because it is so blatantly against what they are suppossed to stand for. From the fourth estate of the press and its imperative need to hold those in power accountable to the sitting elected officials, who despite having to bear the intense heat of the publics magnifying glass when held under the light, must still respect its importance because they are the representatives of that same publics ever changing will.
He made a mockery of the sitting president and of multiple institutions that sit at the core of the country's foundations. But what is more, he did it by underlining the importance of a principle and a right that these institutions are meant to uphold and from wherein they derive much of their power.
Comedy has always been a fun house mirror to hold up to society and show it its glaring imperfections magnified and distorted through hyperbole and absurdity in order to force introspection and it's something this country desperately needs right now.

Actually it's more that there are no microphones directed to the audience unlike in comedy shows. Thus, the only time you hear laughter is when Hasan's mic picks it up. Just think of it as being around 300 laughs min when you can hear it.
