I don't know why people connect dark skies and rain with depression. The rain is beautiful and soothing and it rejuvenates the land. That's why I LOVE rainy days.
Nicely put. For me it's more like how active the sky is. Numerous days of a clear blue sky is boring, but with rain, you have something to look at and enjoy for all your senses. An empty sky is lonely, but when the rain is present you feel like someone familiar is keeping you company. :)

When I was a child, whenever it rained my mum would wake my brother, sister and me up (my dad worked night),turn off all the lights and turn the sofa to face the windows.
We would all sit there with hot chocolate and listen to the storm while waiting to see the lightning, we lived on a hill and could see for miles.
We all grew up to absolutely love thunderstorms and do similar things with our children.
I found out recently that my mum hated them and was terrified but by waking us up and pretending she loved them she found she could cope.
That’s a sweet story ❤️

Father of 4 little girls.... Holiday's for me are a two edged blade that cuts deep into my soul as I pick between bills and happiness... It's rough.. work around the clock and for what??....having to look my girls in the eye and tell them I'm doing my best even though I still fall short...yeah.. I'll keep telling myself it'll get better.....8 years sober... My oldest is turning 8.. my youngest Is 4 months...I haven't relapsed once since the birth of my children... But I can't seem to get over the rebuild...idk....I truly don't.... I know I'm doing what is best but why does nothing fall into place?...I feel as if I'm building a never ending wall that I'll never be able to climb over....man am I trying though......

Thank you for that, someone died today, near me, i did not know him on a personal level, but i have interacted with the peopke around him. It's really shaken me, death was really close, less than 100m away from me.He was a young man, not older han 23,working at a construction site. He must have had dreams, goals too. He was probably thinking about what he would eat in the evening,(it's 9 pm here,may 16th he died at around 5pm) probably thinking about his mom,siblongs and stuff. He may have been saving up for a house. All I'm saying is he woke up today, and he didn't go back to bed. You have woken up, you never really know when you'll never go back to your bed, so speak to people nicely, love those around you, and LIVE! We live everyday, but we die once. So LIVE do everything ypu need to do. Take this as a sign to LIVE and do everything you are scared of doing. We all die, but not all of us live.

This is exactly how I remember my childhood days (nights). I used to sleep with this beautiful and comforting sound. It gave me a safety feeling of being inside my family’s home, with my parents and siblings, while I fell asleep with the sound of a torrential rain falling on the zinc roof. I love rain and thunder.

I just had surgery and I've been in pretty rough shape trying to recover and I really don't have many ppl in my life since getting sober, my sleep is very off and I'm suffering with insomnia but this channel did help me get two hours sleep!! Thank u for not having ads as well.

It is sad isn't it that there are some more fortunate than others.
We used to break into old buildings for shelter, but it was always so cold here in the UK at night, 5 or 6 of us would all snuggle together wen it rained. They wer all older than me ,I was a 6 stone 20 odd yr old girl, my homeless friends used to cover me up with old coats, they wer good ppl, bad fortune! May they all RIP ..😔♥️ A reminder now I'm older that I'm so grateful to have a roof over my head now. This reminds me of rainy days as a child. To keep us entertained on a rainy day my mother would sit my sister and me in the dry porch of the house overlooking the fields being drenched while we were warm and dry just inside dipping our fingers in a saucer of dessicated coconut. Loved the peace of it and the little shivers down my spine.

Hello everyone I just wanted to say I’ve been super lonely I don’t have any friends and my family don’t give me affection but I just want to say I hope everyone is doing great and I’m pretty sure we’ve all been stressed, depressed, etc... because of this pandemic. Hopefully things do get better we just need to pray and hope for the best, but I love everyone and I mean it.

_I live in NYC & have suffered from anxiety since at least 2004. Since 2006 I've suffered anxiety episodes that made it almost impossible to take public transportation and sleep. Being in public spaces had been nothing but torture and i found myself retreating from all activities. Since i found these videos my life and sleep have improved dramatically. Maybe we love the rain because it’s in our genes. Rain with the Sunshine equals Life. Genetically we are all connected to our past, present and future. Maybe that is why a stranger will save another persons life, risking his own life in doing so.The sound of rain means we live another day. God I love the rain, it always makes me smile. What do you do with neighbours who use the washing machine during the night and their tumble drier during the early hours of the morning. I live in a semi detached house and this noise is with me when I go to bed and the drier in the morning. Can no one rid me of these loathsome people who don’t care 🤷♀️ about anyone but themselves.
@@scorpio85 hmm try earplugs maybe. Or noise cancelling headphones for sleep. Make sure to keep headphones on low volume at night if u try this though. I hope this helps!
