- classic psychedelic hits from the 1960s originally by Iron Butterfly & Cream.
The Surfrajettes do a brilliant interpretation & kick it in to high gear .
just imagine its 1968 & all the crazy things going on back then .
I witnessed that era first-hand . it was the greatest rock & psychedelic music ever produced .
She's playing the vocal, the organ and the guitar altogether on the guitar, plus they seamlessly melded the two pieces together - magnificent.
5star
what vocals 😂
@@vintagelife3504 She's playing the vocal tune on the guitar The singing is transposed to musical notes, as one may hum a vocal line but not sing the words; she is playing the words as notes, champ! 🙄

But only drummer has right chords...
@@torstikorja5484 When you do a cover you do it your own way, that's the whole point of it.
The girls that make everything sound like the best Bond movie soundtrack that never was
I was thinking something out of the Beach movies of the 60's
Reminds me of the music from the classic video game 'No One Lives Forever'. It's that clean sound and the 'verb.
@@sgt.thundercok4704 yep. They could even star in a film from that game lol.
I Just LOVE these Ladies.... very cool and refreshing music for our times... Keep rocking it girls!!!
It's good to see these ladies keeping that surf music alive definitely part of our rock and roll heritage here in America
Except, of course, they're from Ontario, Canada.
These ladies are something else!!! Keep it going kids, keep it alive!!! GREAT SOUND!!!
Really great. The bass on this particularly good. It just carries the whole thing.
Hypnotic....both the music and the lovely Surfrajettes!
I've seen The Surfrajettes on RUclips before, they are so talented, good girl band.
In the garden of Eden with these Ladies, great arrangement!
I've never noticed how similar the basslines are in both songs. Brilliant covers!
This so awsome b52's meets the Ventures. LOVE IT!!
It's like Dick Dale without the dick!
@@Johnny-lr5jt That's a good one! They're more like BELLE-tones
This is the most fantastic visual and sound band thet i have ever seen. The thin lead / rhythm player has my heart ! I love her !!
Nicole Surfrajette
You have to love the Surfrajettes.
The bass, Sarah, is supreme !
those jetson glasses and flintstone dresses really make it man
Great mash up of two great classic rock songs.
Les Surfrajettes en grande forme !bravo ...super
When this came out I had just joined the U.S. Marines and had worked at a boys home tutoring. One young fella whom I had a hard time getting to sit down and work his homework when this came out it played on his radio and we found we both liked it. After I graduated boot camp I went back to see him. His attitude and education performance had turned around. We sat listening to this before I left to go to my C school.
I have been watching this video every day for months. don't know why....
Even trippier & more psychedelic than the original.
And it was matching sunglasses back in the day. Too Cool!
sounds like a backing track to a 60's movie. far out!!! great outfits too.
Goofy glasses :)
Some of the best surf music I have ever heard. Way cool retro hip vibe. As Hugh Hefner once said, ‘let’s rock the kids’.
They should tour as opening act for The B-52s.
No, the other way around.
Nah, this band is actually good.
Cannot believe they found this song and resurrected it! When I was 15-16 listened to this song over and over. Iron Butterfly if remember right.
Can still see the psychodelic album cover--for those of your who remember album art--they don't nave albums anymore.
Cool far out sunglasses and outfits to go with the cool music!
Absolutely astounding. I was waiting for them to go in to Suzy Q. Haha.
After fifty years these cuties actually made a version that I can appreciate
No drums, still not bad. Great Fender sound.
Very Nicely Done. . . .The original was a whole album side. 20 minutes or so. . . .This was nice. . . . .
The Surfrajettes are cool!! The Surfrajettes are awesome!! ..
and have a far better sense of melody than I do.
every time I play guitar, I wanna turn everything up!! and ramm those power-chords into oblivion.

Shermy is my favo. she is! hot!
I normally don't like covers...But you gals are the BOMB!
They are, simply put, GOOOOOOOOOD! . . . . I grew up with what they usually play. and they do it good!
i LOVE this kind of music!!
These Ladies Are Excellent What More Can I Say
Awesome. Thank the ladies for playing and posting.😎
So retro, they recreated an era of American pop music. Gorgeous too.
great work ladies keep them coming!!!!!
Bass player really holds up well on this one seems like the bass has to be right for this song to work great job girls
Totally agree , she's definitely holds it all together
The drummer has to bring it on this one. Period.
shes easily the most talented in the group
Totally, she’s groovin. I think these gals are terrific
She uses all four strings, unlike so many who just thump along one one string.
WOW!... Surfrajettes are 4 real groovy chicks!, They've got the music in them.
You guys are great keeping the surf alive !
Love this! Thank you, Ladies!
you see all those classic fender amps in the back ground thats how you get that sound very smart
and I bet that bass player carries her own amp too !!
Crank up the reverb
Lots of reverb...Love it!
Tom Milroy that’s a Fender Super Sonic twin in the amp lineup!
Yesssd
Classy and cool! Enjoy your unique take on classic tunes!
Thanks for posting all these Surfrajette videos from Tiki Oasis 2019. The Surfrajettes need to keep this look ...The outfits & Glasses...Super Cool and their music's freaking AWESOME. (E. From the Philippines)
All EQ's at noon, Reverb at 10... Absolutley love this band !!!
Clever rendition 👍🏻
An all-girl Ventures and just as great. If they’d been around in the 60’s they’d be in the R&R Hall of Fame now.
Awesome! Love the sunglasses!
I was so enchanted watching these beautiful girls I didn't notice the drummer didn't even get a few bars of solo !
Nicole is channeling slowhand....mahalo
I thought same. Some comments, Nicole needs to smile.
Clapton rarely smiled while on Master mode.
I like it, it's got that 60s groove sound.
The style is called Surf
This is the definition of cool.😎💖
Yeah this sounds so dang cool!!! You ladys are awesome!!
They are just teasing us by not singing . Absolutly fantastic.
Short skirts and long hippy-chick hair (hell yes!)
...can't help it!
Love the style/ethic
It's just so COOL/Groovy
(I want now to listen to the Monkees again!)
Awesome!! Love these girls. Thanks for posting all these video's of The Surfrajettes
Greetings from The Netherlands
they is sweeties +
They are Canadian!!
I like the old bird on the bass
Mir gefallen die roten und grünen Schrumpfschlauchkleider der drei Gitarristinnen, schön anzusehen.
Love those Surfrajettes
When this came out I was training as a tutor at the San Dimas home for boys.
God I love mini dresses and girls who can play.........
When you ad in the "fuck-me" white "Go-Go" boots, I can watch these babes all night long....SWEET!!
oh shit take me back to when I was a young teen during that era. The music was so new and different. The mini skirts, dresses, the fun we had goofing on everybody and being sarcastic little brats. we did no harm, had no worries, did no drugs
These videos have been off my feed lately. Don't know why? These girls' have more depth than JAWS. Glad we're back in touch. Very Best! Surfragettes!!!!
The 60's was the greatest few years, ('65 to '72), ever in the last couple hundred years.
...stick around, I can be even more hyperbolic.
Oh man.... Gary Newman... Fantastic clip.... I love that guy, so good... And his band kicks ass.... Electronica all the way... 😊 ❤ New Zealand....
Actually, the Surfrajettes did do a two-song medley of Paint It Black and Pipeline. Great instrumental rendition, and the girls have some serious style. They look like they were time-warped from 1967 and placed in 2019 so they could play much better music than what the kids hear today. And guess what? The Surfrajettes do play great music. Memo to all record labels everywhere: what are you waiting for? An engraved invitation? Get these ladies signed up, pronto!
I do not think the bass player wasn't time-warped from 1967. She was there.
Beautiful AND Talented😍
I'm in love😍😍
This does Erik Brann proud. He is surely smiling down.
I LOVE THIS!
great song, great band!!!
Great Seamless transition between those two songs .
Pretty girls ,no tramp stamps!! ( Tattoos)!!
Nothing better than in Gotta Devita with a surfer Reverb vibe
Nicole 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Love it. So cool. Said it once, I'll say it till I'm dead. Canada rocks. These ladies rock.
Excellent Guitar work Great Song
Have to love them! Fantastic demeanor. .Should there be a cruise ship named the "shermy of the seas".
bassist carried it. I never really thought of the similiarities between the two songs. Now I see why they smashed em together
Classic!
my new favorite band you guys rock
BRAVE. UN SALUTO DALL' ITALIA.
This band is so damn good!!
Fan-freaking-tastic!!
Love the deep bass and slowed downed pace...!!!
Awesome blend I always thought musically they sounded similar
When I was a kid I played bass through a backface Fender Showman amp except mine was a Dual Showman with the big double 15" cab, the thing cranked for 85 watts, great sounding amps for bass, still got a 67 head and looking for an original cab.
Clever medley. Good job.
THE BAND IS 😎 COOL😊
If only Butterfly had kept it this short :) shame about the drum solo! Groovy ladies.
Allright!! Chicas, l play that song all the time!! Awesome video!!
Excellent what more can i say
After about 700 times lookin this... the drummer still coolest of the gang, but anyway this is really fkn right way to hit this fkn thing.. I know, there´s coming better kicker on , but I love this SO much...
Absolutely love them. Not a novelty act by any means. i bet Ivy of The Cramps may have given them a listen? Please stick around ladies...a lot to offer
IVY would be quite jealous!!
The demeanor of these fine women musicians blows me away!
Great! I feel like Hugh Hefner ought to come out at the end for his nervous, group interviews. "Well, I feel it's my duty to invite you to our, our, umm..party. Here, can we have a drink, please?"
I've got a pair of those exact same sunglasses. Found them at the 99 Cent store in Los Angeles back in 2003.
When Back to the Future 2 came out, those glasses were part of the promotion..I.E. The 80's Cafe... I still have mine! I love that Fender Verb!!
ruclips.net/video/MQTtrh6rGok/видео.html Pizza Hut Promo
Very well spotted.
Shermy has a interest in thift store sales. Ain't that just like a woman.
@@chrisst8922 I've found a lot of great stuff in thrift stores. Like all 7 of my fluffy winter coats. And a Liz Claiborne Black Alligator Square Purse. Exactly one of my dresses was new. I'll buy something even if I don't have anything that matches it, knowing that someday I'll find something to complete the outfit. I'm sorta like the kitten version of Doug Stanhope, where in No Place Like Home (2016) he says, "You don't just buy this suit. This is years of hitting thrift stores, & yard sales, & estate sales... I'll buy the jacket, & then a year later find the pants, then a shirt, then a tie. If I gained or lost 10 pounds, that'd be YEARS of work down the shitter [snaps fingers] like that."
Many times, I'll spend two hours rooting through a whole thrift store & come out empty. And I'm a slender, 6', Size 14 Trans Tabby, very lucky to have small bones. It makes it that much sweeter to find something in a cut & color I like.
To paraphrase Eric Idle in the Monty Python Australian Insect Hunters Sketch (1970):
A lot of people ask me why I don't just go to Nordstrom's. Well where's the sport in that?
The bass player is killer in this. She really looks like the actress, Doon Mackichan, too. Sisters from different Misters.
beautiful miusic
I am actually here for the music.
Playing totally clean thru a Twin Reverb is about as 'no where to hide' on guitar as it gets.
I might download some Surfragettes for my next road trip. I'll feel like I'm in a cool movie.
