- Vancouver based guitarist Paul Rudolph moved to London in 1969 and spent ten years cultivating a career in the British underground music scene. During that time, he played in bands the Deviants, the Pink Fairies and Hawkwind, and managed to rub shoulders with a few characters of the 1970’s music scene, including Mick Farren, Twink, Robert Calvert and Brian Eno. Join me for part one of a fascinating two part interview.

@@bobj3251 Agreed. Never Never Land is a classic!
Phenomenal guitarist. One of the most underrated from that golden musical period.
Yes. His work speaks for itself.
I liked Paul’s bass playing in Hawkwind, simple but effective
Yes, just what the music needed.
Excellent interview, Paul is such a legend !
Very charismatic!..
Glad you enjoyed it. He is, and it was a pleasure to interview him.
Love hawkwind. Friends online with Lemmys cousin
Same here. That's cool.
Where is Episode 32? I want to hear Rudolph on Eno, later Fairies with Twink and now with Davey and Fox. Does he have anything to say about Larry Wallis?
Episode 32 will be out in about 2 weeks. Some great Eno stories. Hawkwind and Twink as well. We touched very briefly on Davey and Fox, but didn't get a chance to talk about Larry Wallis.
Paul should write his memoirs.
Yes. He has lots of great stories!
