- Опубликовано: 21 май 2020
- Join me as I go motorcycle camping for two nights off the back of my Royal Enfield Himalayan in the Pike National Forest! The first night I will be camping solo, and the second I will be joining my friend's family as they camp out in a similar area. Getting out and enjoying the nice crisp Colorado mountain air is always a great relief, especially under the current situation affecting the world. Thanks for watching, and be sure to Subscribe for future Himalayan videos.

I love my Himalayan. Complaining it isn’t fast is like complaining that a Volkswagen Beetle isn’t fast. Not the point of the bike. It isn’t a dirt bike so the weight is better than most mid-level ADVs. Simple to operate, comfortable ride. Perfect for camping, commuting or touring.
absolutely!
Well said!!!
I love the sound of Himalayan. And the scenery was beautiful. Thanks for the video.
Agreed. Thanks for watching!
Great vid. You are blessed with that landscape to disappear into on your bike. Keep up the good work.
Its the safest bike there is, low center of gravity and if you are the type that doesn't enjoy riding a deadly monster screaming down at 140mph feeling terrified rather than just enjoying the ride, scenery and sound its definitely for you.
Great video 👍 hope to see more like it
Very nice!
All the best with your channel. We will keep on tuning for more. 👌
Thank you! That means a lot!
This is the most truly American thing I've seen all year. Thank you for the dose of hope.
Thanks for watching!
Nice vid! Makes me also want to go on vacation and finally buy the Himalayan! 🤣
I think those are two good choices 🙂
Great video, I bought a Himalayan this week, hugs from Brazil🇧🇷
Great video!
In the state I live, on the motorcycle I want doing the activity I love! Please keep these videos coming!
Will do! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing. And kudos for you respecting the privacy of others. Be well and safe
Thanks for watching!
love you bro!!! WELCOME TO RE FAMILY!!!!!
Thanks!
@@AdvMatthew WELCOME!!
I used to hike that area in the 70s. Great video!
Amazing area that doesn't get the credit it deserves - I'm okay with that! Thanks for watching!
@@AdvMatthew yea there's a few here in western North Carolina but very few. Probably getting a himalayan next month and your videos were a big part of that. I ride a sportster for now but it's not much for camping and off blacktop use. Stay safe brother and keep the shiny side on top.
Sweet. I hear the riding in the Carolinas is quite nice. I might have to trek out that way someday. Enjoy your Himalayan!
Can't tell you how much I appreciate this video. Was hoping to find a RUclips video to help decompress after the end of a long office day. This video was a godsend. MANY thanks!!!
Looking forward to a moto-camping get away, on my Scram - further from the city, the better. In the process of modifying it to hold gear.
FYI: I paused just before the five minute mark to say this thank you, yet also wanted to point out that your sound and video is absolutely perfect.; not false polished. My poor stir crazy white collar caged soul can buy into the ride, and I almost feel like I'm there. You nailed it, and brother did I need this
Appreciate it. I don’t really use this channel anymore (just happened to see your notification) but may get some rides in this year. Thanks for the kind words. Enjoy some peace of mind! Cheers
Really spectacular dinner cooking 😅👍🏻
It worked! Not my finest dish
@@AdvMatthew no doubt about that! Returning to basics is a good experience that I like as well!
Cool video.
Keep uploading good content like this 😍
Best wishes! Tc
Thank you! Appreciate the kind words
Still catching up here Matthew, looks like you went for roll-top soft panniers after all. Good decision. 👍
Good
Very Satisfying Video 👁️👃👁️.
Thanks for watching! 🙂
This is all I want to do with my life.
Hey man! I'm getting into moto camping off my himi- and also reside in the CO Springs area. It was great seeing familiar places! Also, would you be able to do a brief vid about the equipment you use? Thanks
I don’t really use this channel much anymore, I sold the Himalayan and got a Suzuki Dr650. I might put a video out this year but otherwise this channel may be dormant for a while.
Love the Weenie Cuisineie. Haha
Thanks for sharing your adventures on the Himalayan. I have a quick question. I noticed you have Nelson Rigg Sierra Dry Saddlebags on your bike. How did you accommodate them on the bike, including dealing with the exhaust? Some tips would be appreciated. Thanks
Hello. Those are great bags. I had the Royal Enfield OEM pannier racks installed on the bike which provided a good structure for the bags. Just needed to adjust the tension on the bags (they strap to each other) to keep them off the exhaust. Doesn’t take much, maybe a half inch of clearance was fine. Never had any problems with them. Thanks for watching
prefer setting up your sleeping bag on right side of your bike. ie, opposite to the Kick stand side. this way if the bike falls for whatever reason, it won't fall on you
I never trusted the Himalayan to not fall over on the opposite side. Side stand way too long stock. Feels like the wind can blow it over. I just put a rock under the side stand.
why premium fuel?
Hi Mathew enjoyed your adventure. What racks did you use with the Nelson Rigg bags?
OEM
Cool! Looking to ride from Michigan to Colorado in August with my Himalayan so stumbled across your video. You do any performance mods to the himmy or all stock?
Sold it for a DR650
Love me V-Strom 1000 but I'm considering stepping down to one of these! I love the looks, the handling and the apparent ease of handling that these bikes seem to display. Lack of power has me a bit concerned but probably something I could get used to. Any regrets with your purchase? Great video.!!
Parts network is terrible in the US and just doesn't perform well enough at highway speeds for me. Sold mine - bought a DR650. Best of luck
Not for highways certainly.
do you go camping much? I live near Pueblo bro...if you ever want too im starting to outfit mine with some panniers and all that so hit me up if you wanna go ride/camp.
Hey I cruise this exact route regularly to Buena Vista. How does the Himalayan tolerate those long stretches at higher speeds near Hartsel? Thinking of getting one...
Slow. I sold mine
@@AdvMatthew that's what I figured. Don't need to be getting blown off the road by those guys doing 80.
@PipeDreamTrails it’s a cool looking bike and has plenty of utility use. But on American roads it just can’t keep up. I have no need for speed but it feels equally dangerous to be the slowest person on the road. You have no extra power on these long uphill grades of the American west.
Does it help to pour gasoline around the tent to keep the bugs and snakes off?
not too many bugs or snakes up in the mountains in colorado. slept on the ground many times with little to no protection and never even a bug bite.
I ask this a lot ... is the Himalayan comfortable for long distances at 70 mph? thx.
I'm good for about 2 hours and my butt needs a break. Could go all day with some decent breaks spaced out
@@AdvMatthew thx so much. How _buzzy_ is the engine or how close to _that's all she's got, Captain!_ is it at 70?
I live at 6,500 feet and do most of my riding at 9,000 feet and higher. I'm maxed out of power at 75 mph. I can get up to 80 on downhills. I do have a video on acceleration and top speed. Check it out!
@@toqtoq3361 True.
hey. man awesome video. what saddlebags are you using?
Those are the Nelson Rigg Adventure saddle bags. They mount to the stock pannier racks quite nicely.
@@AdvMatthew appreciate it
чем хороши большие страны, так это разным климатом. не нужно пересекать границы для того чтоб попасть в горы или наоборот в пустыни..
THERE ARE NEW MIRRORS FOR INT650 YOU SHOULD GET THOSE
I'll take a look. I was looking at doubletake adv mirrors
@@AdvMatthew there are good mirriors amazon too
In short time i will buy this bike , I like to ride for long trip , are you comfortable with this machine , are you happy , please answer
Thank you

I am happy with mine! Matthew
Dont u think the tubed tyres is a problem
I prefer tubes - no real trouble so far
@@AdvMatthew Hi, Thanks for ur reply ,
am concerning about safety and also it's a adventure bike so how should I prepare myself when I go to adventure with the tubed tyres
Air down the tires for off road. Carry a spare tube and a patch kit. Flats happen. Just have to be prepared for them.
ALMOST 5000 VIEWS AND ONLY 200 LIKES, WHYYYY
Great video I enjoyed it but come on you need a better way of cooking 🍳
Himalayan, lol. Underpowered and overweight with lousy brakes.
And yet the people who own them seem to love them.
Think maybe they know something you don't?
It's not a racehorse, it's a mule. Tough and reliable.
the brakes are for the cowards, los frenos son para los cobardes
And what do you ride? Why don't you go troll somewhere else.
And yet you take the time to click on the video and comment... Try to open your mind.
i really dislike generators too
