11:10 It says "eth0 is not configured" for me, instead of showing IP, ssh and all the stuffs. Have you done extra works on setting networks inside the GNS3 VM?

Do you have a DHCP Server? Check your network card setting. My Wireless router has a DHCP server or watch the beginning of the video.

I need your help mate. I just set up GNS3 with a vm. My Mac book is with the 4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 and Sonoma 4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 while creating link: uBridge is not available, path doesn't exist, or you just installed GNS3 and need to restart your user session to refresh user permissions. Can you help me with that ? I am struggling last couple of days.

I created this video for Mac M1 only. Yours is Mac with Intel processor. I just looked at the VMware website, the latest version should work on both Intel and Arm based Mac. So Download and install this latest version and follow their procedure.
      Fusion 12.1.2 and earlier
      The following processors are supported.
Processors on all Macs launched in 2011 or later except for the Intel® Xeon® W3565 processor when used on the 2012 Mac Pro Quad Core
Processors on 2010 Mac Pro Six Core, Eight Core, and Twelve Core
The following Metal host graphics rendering engine requirements apply.
      Hardware Requirements
      MacBook, Early 2015 or later
MacBook Air, Mid 2012 or later
MacBook Pro, Mid 2012 or later
Mac Mini, Late 2012 or later
      iMac, Late 2012 or later
Mac Pro, Late 2013 or later
See support.apple.com/en-us/HT205073 for information about Mac support of Metal.
      Software Requirements
      macOS 10.12.5 or later
macOS 10.15 Catalina and newer versions for the host OS.
Operating system installation media (disk or disk image) for virtual machines. Windows operating systems are available separately from Microsoft and other retailers.
      Important:
Fusion does not provide any operating systems for installation on virtual machines that you create with Fusion. You must provide the operating system installation media.
4 GB of memory, 8 GB recommended.
750 MB of free disk space for Fusion, and at least 5 GB of free disk space for each virtual machine.
      Note:
You must have enough memory to run macOS, plus the memory required for each guest operating system and for applications on the Mac and in the virtual machines.

This video was created around 3 years ago where there were far too many issues from compatibility, versions, and so on, just to get up and running. I'm hoping that these issues should have been fixed by now. If not, it's better and a lot less headache installing it in Windows.
If you already have a hard time installing this system, what more if you have to design or simulate an entire network.

but it is not running in its "VM", only running in local, I can see there is no second server "GN3VM" in the right tab and "KVM" is "false"

    • @efrenplaza

Yes, you are right. There are far too many problems with this. GNS3, VMware, Apple, and everybody else, need to resolve their issues whatever that is before attempting to install this. You're better of using VMware Workstation and GNS3 less headache.

I installed GNS3 on VMware Fusion 3 years ago. It was difficult to get it running because they were version specific. I have to mix and match the versions of application that will work. If you have downloaded the latest version of Fusion and GNS3 and still unable to get it to work, I suggest to install them on Windows OS or Intel based system.

This video is a waste. The installation of GNS3-VM is not usable once we install it. The video owner simply takes 20 minutes to install GNS3 VM which is not used in GNS3 UI at all.
Don't watch this, simply move on.

    • @efrenplaza
      @efrenplaza  2 года назад +2

It's because you don't know what you're doing. How do you explain that I was able to ping from one workstation to another and also the internet. Have you ever consider there are issues with the version you're using or licensing problems with VMware, GNS3 and Mac. Before you start moaning and crying, do your research. If you want to be a Network professional, do your own work. You don't want to be spoon fed all the time. Grow up.

Your frustration and inability to get your system going don't take it out on my video. How can you fake a video like this? If you noticed l've mentioned the versions of files needed because at this point in time getting this to work was version specific.
