  • A selection of compositions by Henry Purcell, newly arranged for lute and performed by Nigel North as part of a concert entitled "circa 1685" on 20 March 2016. Nigel is playing on an 11-course instrument built by Lars Jonsson in 2005, after Hans Frei. The performance was part of the 2015 - 2016 season of Early Music at the Byron Colby Barn in Prairie Crossing, Grayslake IL. Pieces in this set are:
    A New Irish Tune (Lilli Burlero)
    Sefauchi’s Farewell
    Rondo (Hornpipe) from “Abdelazer”
    A new ground from “Welcome to All Pleasures”
    Rondeau (Menuet)
    Hornpipe on a Ground from “The Married Beau”
