How anyone could dislike Nigel North's playing is completely beyond me.

I loved this piece from Biber ever since I discovered the composer. So glad to hear it transcribed for lute. Completely another atmosphere. Violin can be quite virtuosic and "showy" in this piece at times, which is nice of course but Lute makes it contemplative and way more intimate.

Nicely "translated". It sounds like an original lute piece.... Actually some parts I liked more than the usual violin versions.

Yes, the transcription of this Passacaglia was his. He also did the transcription of the pieces by Henry Purcell that he played on the same concert (ruclips.net/video/OeUzsDrNvyU/видео.html).

Hi Byron, do you know if his transcriptions are available somewhere?
      Thanks.
