I've first heard this piece performed by Andrew Manze, a fantastic violinist. This lute version and performance is absolutely fantastic. Thank you Xavier, you made my Sunday morning very special.

Is that really a new word? Lutenist is a word and you can usually derive -istic from an -ist word. In any event, I like it and I shall seek out the opportunity to describe something as lutenistic although I am not sure how.

I've owned a 13c. Baroque Lute since 1985.... since a hand accident left me unable to play... this is what I always thought the instrument deserves...
