The girl taking pictures over and over of her selfies petting the horse over and over gets annoying, the mans doing his Job be respectful dont crowd the horse or stand there for 5 minutes petting him over and over . But we all know how far respect goes these days people should not be allowed to touch the horse period. There are stalls with a chain you can not pass you can take a picture behind the chain, and you still have morons trying to step over the chain to take a picture. What dont you understand about stay behind the chain.
They should stop people touching them. This made me angry. You would think they have never seen a horse before.

The same guy tried to grab the reins a couple of seconds earlier and got them pulled out of his hand...he looked shocked that the guard and horse actually moved! Then he decided to go in and do the fake kick.
Had he done real one and connected, he would have been arrested. Horses legs are very susceptible to injury.

The horses and their riders are usually very accepting of the children. So many adults however are just plain rude, presumptuous and overbearing.
We can see that these mounted troops deserve better.

There have been people arrested for punching attacking a working police horse or dog , I suspect the law would be the same for a working military horse . I think he would have fallen over if he'd tried again though !

The only reason these horses don't freak out all the time is the incredible bond they have with the guards, and probably the best desensitizing training in the world.

You’re right, that cyclist is hogging the horse. And she even thinks the horse is enjoying her rubbing their nose. The horse probably wants to bite her face off but know he/she has to be on their best behavior.
Every horse I've had loved being petted including their noses.

This Guard is the one I call " Our Guard" because he's so kind to autistic children ( he has sooo much compassion for them) , and he's often seen giving the horse's a hug and kiss, it calms them down ❤❤❤❤.

I've always felt the same! No acknowledgements to either guard or his lovely horse. They may as well put out stand up cardboard cutouts of them. I bet the tourists wouldn't even notice, or if they did they would be the first to scream, "Where's the Guard and Horse!?! I'd be like, "Oh now you want to acknowlege them??? ! I so wish they could do that, just for one day, an hour even.

The guards ARE soldiers and carry swords, and are guarding a barracks which is full of more soldiers. There are also multiple armed police officers present at all times. The people in danger are the idiot tourists, who are apparently unaware of the fact that a) the horses are cavalry horses and will happily kick, bite and rear if they perceive they or their rider is being threatened, b) if you do not get out of way when told, the guards can and will take physical action and c) if one of the horse charges the crowd, people will die.
The cyclist? New Karen? Leave the poor animal alone!

It's almost like these people have never heard of, much less seen, a horse before. I don't get the compulsion to touch the horse. I get the idea of a picture with the horse and guard behind you as a memory you were there. But, you don't have to be on top of them to accomplish that. I respect those that got no closer than the edges of the doorway. That should be a minimum, if not more.
When people linger for too long it gets so frustrating when the guards don't tell them to keep it moving.
How these soldiers keep their cool when folks like him act the goat when I was a kid if you messed with our families horses you were lucky to escape with a warning 👍🇬🇧

I think the woman should have been made to move away with her bicycle. Hanging around in front of horse's he'd for far too long. Incredibly patient to tolerate people on three sides... unacceptable.

The king is responsible for the way the people treat the gusrds and horses, he can put a stop to the disrespectful treatment the tourists do but apparently the $$$ money they get from tourism is more important

I doubt if the King is even aware of anything like this. He is not involved in the day-to-day running of the military. He is commander-in-chief but the British Army is run by the Ministry of Defence. This is a Government responsibility. Write to the Secretary of State for Defence!

These horses have got to be the most well behaved animals on earth. Imagine standing there in one spot for who knows how long, with strange people coming up and touching your face. Good Lord!!!

Soldiers come home from battle suffering from PTSD. These horses probably come away from this onslaught of stupid people day after day with it, too. I feel bad for them.

at other places, they have guides who,well guide the visitors in how to act, provide info on history and traditions, and would inform them [in their native language ]about the KINGS GUARD

I would love to see the “Zoo” atmosphere disappear. These tourists don’t realize this is an actual Guard with his horse on duty as well.

The horses sometimes kick up, a barrier would be a danger of injury to them.
There’s a big sign there for them to read.
@marywilson641 .Any form of barrier , chain , rope is not possible .First it's a public street under control of the Council not MOD , inside the gates is MOD property . Second it would be dangerous for both horse and trooper if the horse became unsettled and ran forward. Painting a line would be as much use as the sign they pay no attention to !
They need to install cctv cameras so they can track down people behaving like he did and deal with them accordingly, absolutely no respect for our guards, their mounts or our country
