My laminectomy was a success! I had lost movement in my left foot and toes for over a year. I now have the movement back, thanks to Dr. Mark Gillespy in Daytona Beach!

Can’t wait to see you for my surgery doctor. I’ve been working a lot lately and I feel like I’m already limping on my left leg. I’m scheduled Monday for surgery. I can’t wait nervous but I’ve been dealing with this pain too long. 😢

Hey there, Dr. Donnally does about 15 new patient telemedicines💻 every week. Here is the best path forward:
1- email your insurance card to Spine@TSCspine.com (We can’t take Medicaid. Private pay is sometimes an option, unless Medicaid)
2- if we take that insurance THEN upload your images to my portal for your 1st visit. (The only HMO we take is BCBS).
3- I must have X-rays and MRI, X-rays are critical! “Just” MRI isn’t enough and is a misuse of your time. It needs to be from last 12 months. Nothing older is needed or wanted. Cant stress this enough, must have BOTH: x rays and MRI.
4- You need to get your CD of your X-ray and MRI (imaging centers will NEVER send them to us)
5- On the top of my website (www.DonnallySpine.com) is the link to UPLOAD images, from YOUR HOME! 🥰(or at a CVS with Physician LookUp Code k5037438)
6- To recap: email us, get CDs, THEN upload!

I had my surgery on June 13 th and am still in recovery. Each day after the surgery, I noticed tiny improvements. After six weeks, I was feeling great, had greater mobility and stability than before the surgery. I have been told by six months I should experience complete recovery. I can tell by my lack of stamina that I am not yet totally healed. I experience times of tiredness and with every rest, comes greater healing. My endurance is increasing and I continue to be as active as possible with very limited to no pain. I am grateful that I finally had the surgery. I listen to my body so I know when I can be more active or when I must rest. I look forward to four more months of recovery and living in sunny Mexico for the Winter. Your informative videos inspired me with knowledge and confidence to get the laminectomy. Thank you very much. My young surgeon was ever so patient with me. He did a super job of my surgery.

I live in Ibiza in Spain - I have all the images in an email from the surgeon, but it is very hard to get the cd :( I have been diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis in the lumbar region and a herniated disc. I have all the images from different angles and they are vey clear. I have been following you for a very long time now - but I had to wait ‘mañana’ time to get the images! I will travel if I need to, I have quite a bit of pain
:(. I exercise 4x per week and take Pilates lessons too.
Please would it be possible to send the images (even by ‘We transfer’ for a higher resolution), maybe? The CD will take ages…

I had a 3 disk neck fusion and it was good!
I had a laminectomy L5 S1 12 years ago. It caused epidural fibrosis.
Now the L5 S1 disk collapsed.
I’m waiting for surgery scheduled L5 S1 for ALIFT.
I am hoping I won’t get more scar tissue.

I had spinal surgery 6 months ago. A laminectomy with titanium inserts fastened by screws. Since then, I’m going through living hell. Despite physiotherapy I’m still unable to walk and in intense pains and in my legs. I’m in more pain than before the operation.
Now I’m so scared of even thinking about another surgery. I just want to die.

So sorry you’re going through this. My double laminectomy was in April and i’m still in some pain but it’s being controlled with gabapentin and celebrex. I’ve been able to reduce the gabapentin to only at night and if i think i need it. I believe sometimes you just have to be a squeaky hinge and call your doctor’s office frequently to make sure they undrestand how much pain you’re experiencing. Hope you get the care you need. Sending healing thoughts.

I’m also waiting for the same surgery fusion. I have c2-c4 ossification and c4-c5 mylomalacia. In my understanding, pain will last longer but according to the healing process it will going to be subside. Try to take vitamin C. B complex and vitamin k regularly. It will make healing faster.

Again if you can take one more mri, then doctors can see any screws are touching in your spinal cord. It can also cause pain.

Yes Doctor, Iam Geetha from India. Iam suffering from left side buttocks pain and left lower leg numbness and tingling.Actually I have carried some weight during a journey. After that.only the pain started.Pain mostly on night, when lying on bed. But day time Iam walking outside and doing low impact exercise in gym also , no pain. my Ortho doctor suggested to take MRI. It is told I have Lumbar spinal canal stenosis, L4-5 impingement. L5S1 grade 1 slip. Ortho Doctor given Vitamin D3 tablet and Tendocare tablet and one pain killer tab. Then advised to have Physiotherapy. I had 10 days Physiotherapy. Last day I couldn't stand properly, severe pain, couldn't lye on bed even. Then consulted Neurologist, Doctor advised to have surgery. Iam not thinking of a surgery and Doctor has given 250mg steroid and Renerve plus through drip. Then advised to take absolute bed rest for 3 weeks. Now Iam on bed rest. With medicine Gabantin and Flexura D .Please suggest whether I can manage without surgery. If so What all precautions I have to take. PLEASE DOCTOR give me a reply.🙏

My surgery is scheduled for September 24th, wish it was way sooner. He's going to do Left L4/5 -L5/S1 TLIF with bilateral decompressions and fusion at L3-4 with laminectomy. I have bilateral pinched nerves at 3 levels, 7 bulging discs & severe spinal stenosis. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. I was told that I have alot of bone spurs too. I wish it could be sooner. I never thought I'd be saying I was looking fwd to back surgery but I am. Counting the days. I've been suffering with pain from sciatica going down both legs, sides & back. Just had a nerve conduction test & he said it was bad too. He was hoping for an easy fix but it had issues at every spot. Its been like this for almost 18 months. I've watched several of your videos and can't thank you enough for them. Opened my eyes tremendously. Thanks!!

I’m struggling with mylomalacia in c4-c5 and server classification in c2-c4. But I have not much issues with this issue. Little bit walking difficulties. Doctor said, I need a fusion surgery but I’m so worried about the future complications. Did I need to go to a surgery procedure very soon or can I Waite???.

Hi, I really like your updates TY.
I have arthritis, stenosis and slippage from an old car accident in C5/6, T6/7 and L3/4.. I'm suffering from pain /neuralgia mostly on my left side, neck to low back. I'm moderate in the categories.. I also have moderate osteoarthritis through out my entire body, hands, feet, knees, etc. (Genetic) My main goal is to manage the pain and slippage.. every vertebra seems to be slipping when I bend, sit to stand, etc. I'm 62. I was wondering what type of surgery support you might recommend. I had a left SI fusion a few months ago.. seems to have helped stabilize my hips and left low back from slippage. I'm planning on doing my right side next month.. ?? My hip / si joint will stiffen up to where I can't walk after a few yards. Thoracic has bulge and a 9mm hemogioma on C6. I have seen an ortho surgeon and he said I'm not ready for surgery.. I'm working with a pain management doctor that I like. I have appt on 22nd to see what we do next. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you, Diane

Dr. Donnally, thank-you for taking the time to put together these informational videos. You made a quick comment that really hit home in this video. It was the comment about putting off treatment and continuously looking for another answer or flying off to Florida for treatment. I have seen a neurosurgeon in the northeast Pennsylvania region, specifically the Lehigh Valley. I was told I need a four level ACDF probably within a year or so. Recently my radiculopathy symptoms have worsened. However, I am very concerned about some of the collateral issues associated with ACDF. I don't doubt that the procedure can be done successfully in terms of the decompression, but I'm worried about adjacent segment issues, screw placement issues, and the increased chance of fusion failure just because of the number of levels. I've been researching the endoscopic approaches that are becoming more widely(albeit slowly) accepted and implemented in the United States. You also mentioned that you perform some endoscopic approach methods. I have been watching the seminars done by the Seattle Spine Group regarding the advancements in that area as well and am wondering if there is anyone in the greater northeast area who has learned to do it. Also, do you have an opinion regarding uniportal vs. biportal method? Finally, I have my MRI imaging, but need to get my cervical X-ray in order to upload to your portal for a second opinion. Thanks again for your videos.
