01:58 to 03:28 is probably one of the most sophisticated displays of bass technique ever witnessed by a live audience. And this is improvised bass play, mind you!
Really nice basses considering the price point. Victor is playing the prototype here. I'll have one of the first ones 'off the line' when they are finished later this summer. Can't wait! Victor makes it look so easy.
not really...i love victor, but the section your are talking about is basically the same stuff he plays every sinister minister solo. mind blowing for normal humans but compared to his other sinister solos its middle of the road
At 1:46 you can clearly see this is a Deluxe model so it is indeed one of the V W custom basses. I should have caught that! Catching Victor live with Bela Fleck or on one of his his solo tours should be on all bass player's Bucket List.
This is what happens when you learn to play the bass without anybody teaching you. Learning by ear at it's best.He's the very definition of greatness O_O
He plays the string, then gently touches it with his fingernail to get the harmonic (with his right hand), he can then bend it with his left.
how does the tweeter sound in this cab cant really tell ?

I've ran out of words to describe this guy, he's really mind-blowing!
That is not the Standard (prototype), it is his Regular Ying-Yang custom that he has been playing for years.
But he still does make it look easy.

@JusMaqiK he makes that harmonic by hitting the string with his thumbnail very lightly on the upstroke. pretty crazy!

The standard has a straight headstock and his custom has an angled one. this bass is angeled.

9:07 through 11:57. I'd probably give up my firstborn to be able to play like that.
@42scottc
How can you tell that?
Victor Wooten just disabled my ability to think.

The best bassmen
