“Looks like we’ll be learning to fix that thingy”. This is my kind of mechanic work. 😊
I have one that has 384000 Still runs well I take good care of it
I put a 190 degree thermostat in my 98, 3.0 4x4 and it made a world of difference. Great vid! Thanks for sharing!
world of difference in what way ?
Good video the pickup truck look great dude and i love trucks i look forward seeing upcoming content
Turned into a great pickup.
Thank you!
Sometimes I forget how good I have it, having all the tools and access to a shop. A lift makes all the difference in the world
Yes it does
Always uncover the shaft.
Cool stuff! great truck.
Looks like the 4.0l OHV not the SOHC. DO NOT use the red thread locker on that, it requires heat to remove. The blue is plenty.
Cool video fist off. Best part was the jack sequence.
Thank you! It was fun to do and I’m definitely going to put more elements like that in future videos!
Nice picUP!
you seem like a pretty optimistic person
Right when he said commercial, a commercial started playing😑
Very cool
Hood pins work well if installed correctly! CHEERS from HERE!
I think your temp. gauge is probably working. Rangers run real cold. I have a ‘94 4.0 and the hottest I’ve seen it run was around the N in ‘Normal’
Good luck in Tennessee finding a rebuilt 4.0 lol . Mom got near same ranger and $4200 to get a motor at auto zone ..
But all she's got in it. But no rust and low miles..
Deschutes Royal Fresh. Nice choice
Also you look like you’re in Western Washington. I’m from that side but live in Spokane currently. This video makes me miss home lol
I live in the valley. Best brews and best selection. Whenever I travel the lack of a good range of flavors make me feel bad for the people that live in such brew deserts.
Spokane Valley? :O @@shadetreegarage4140
So I know this is way after the fact but as a parts guy I have a few shops that swear by 'Thickster' gloves.
would you say that a truck like this would make a good daily? ny state for context
Absolutely it would!!!
Twin I beam @ 10:30
Oh man
Like your videos, just as an FYI, you should put a compressor on your audio, or turn your mic gain down as it distorts...
Yeah, I’m constantly fighting the sound. I don’t have a real microphone, just whatever is on the device I using to record video with
@@shadetreegarage4140 I hear ya, but there are some things you can do after the fact to help with that. What device you using? PM me, I'm happy to offer assistance
Wow is this the first vin 4x4 of 1994?
i got 1992 ford tempo gl with 420,000😂
how much did it cost you
Did you get the instrument panel working? I'm redoing a 93 ranger and I have no clue how to fix the gages.
I never got that far. Someone wanted to take it home so I let it go.
they are notorious for that.....change cluster. not very hard and best bets
@@shadetreegarage4140 how much did you get for it? I'm guessing 2k?
I have a '93 4.0 XLT 4X4 extended cab. I've had it for 20yrs and it has 255k miles on original drive train (trans rebuilt at 245k). The difficulty with the '93 is it's a 1 yr model and last yr of OBD1. Parts are still readily available and it's fairly easy to work on.
I beam suspension
Yeah!!! That’s exactly what there called!!!
Thank you!
No problem I been looking for a clean ranger like you found.. congrats to you man
I hope you find a good one! Around where I’m at the real good ones go for about $4000. My Mom still drives hers that she bought in 1999. We know every dent and scratch on it.
