If the yeti is leaking from the magnet, then you have it on wrong. Take the magnet slide apart and rotate the bottom bit 180 and that should sort this issue. Hope this helps 🙌
Thanks! You are right!
@@EverydayMan No problem, I had the same issue when I 1st bought it. I’m glad I could help. Love my yeti flask. Keep up the good reviews 👍
So does the Yeti no longer leak after adjusting the magnet?
No leaks. I can carry it upside down.
@@EverydayManThat's great! I might have to get a Yeti.
Excellent review. To the point and no BS'ing. Thanks! I like the big handle on the Stanley, I never thought about that or considered that before.
I own them both. I have to admit I wanted to the hype of the Stanley inside randomly one day at Dick’s Sporting Goods and didn’t want to pass up the opportunity since he seemed impossible to get! It feels good in my hand it keeps my water cold, and it fits in my cupholder, but it leaks. What’s the point if it leaks? I went back to Dick’s Sporting Goods and picked up the yeti you can tip that upside down and not a drop of water will come out, it is now my travel cup my gym cup my water cup my coffee cup, and it’s worth every penny. The Stanley cup will stay in the house.
How about the lid Suzanna ?
People missed an important and key feature from the Yeti that most don’t have.
The Yeti features a unique twist cap/lid with a distinctive 90-degree close angle. This innovation allows users to precisely position the lid opening during screwing. For instance, if you're right-handed and prefer the lid facing you, align the opening with the handle. Conversely, left-handed users can position the lid opening away from the handle for a user-friendly experience when turning it 90 degrees clockwise.
I want Yeti quality with the Stanley handle and a silicon straw. That is my ideal design.
Hydro flask makes one
I bought both these cups from the thrift store last week (Stanley is Black and Yeti is deep blue and new), grand total on both was $6 bucks. Don't waste your money... people have too many of them and are donating them after getting new ones for the holidays.
I'm not using someone else's old thermal cup.....😂
@@Anth230 Perfect.
@@Anth230 I concur that is not sanitary and you also aren't supporting the companies by buying on the second hand market. If a company gives me a good product I don't mind paying for a new product.
@@Anth230you’ll be waving at people at Walmart at 60
@@ihmpall Why?
I love my yeti. No other brand has been able to win me over. I’ve tried several and always go back to the Yeti.
I love my yetis too. I just got my 1st stantley today.
Same here. Love my older Yeti, but it doesn't have a handle and doesn't fit a cupholder. I got a Stanley today, but the small part of the lid is too hard to rotate. I hope it loosens up slightly.@@pookiemoon
@@abc-wv4in thats odd, every yeti ive ever had fits in cup holders.. try a different model i suppose.
Yes, I know many models do and also some have handles. Mine is shaped like a tumbler and is too big to fit in my cupholders. I still like and use my Yetis too.@@amv8365
The Yeti wins hands down. My daughter has a Hydroflask tumbler thingie, which I think looks very fancy. The fanciest one of the lot to be honest. The Takeya tumbler is pretty neat too. One should note that all these bottles are Dishwasher safe (a big thing for me).
For work in the hospital. A big hydroflask is perfect for me. I drop it just a dent. Still keeps water in and cold or coffee hot.
I like my yetis. But not all. They have a 200 dollar lunch box. Screw that.
Being nearly identical in hot/cold, and if you get them off the manufacturers site and then being the same price. One thing to keep im mind is that Stanley has a LIFETIME guarantee, where as the Yeti i believe is only 5 years MAX.
But comfort of the handel is also a factor.
My wife likes Yeti, where as i lo
Ike Stanley (especially my trigger mugs!!!!)
I ordered my 30 oz pink Stanley from amazon for list price, $35. It took a couple of weeks to arrive, though. I wouldn't pay more than list price, but that's just me.
whose gonna need a lifetime guarantee for a cup. $100 says people break it, lose it, or throw it out for the next trendy thing that social media tells people to buy in a year or two.
@amv8365 I'll take that bet. As I still have stuff from my grandfather that I STILL use.
If I were to buy what social media (in the USA) told me to, I would buy apple products. But I can think for myself, so I use Android.
I have 2 stainless steel yetis with no handle that i used for years while working as a mail carrier. Sometimes for coffee and sometimes for juice and it kept my coffee warm for as long as i sipped on it and juice cold as long as i sipped on it usually through my shift. Retired now and my yeti now sits on the side of my bed at night with ice and water that i sip on through the night. Im just going to stick with them
Good post. Stanley does have a Life Time Warranty and another big deal is that it made of recyclable stainless steel... Good for, good for the planet!
Who needs a "warranty" on a cup ??? C'mon people.
@@rds990 agree
Me.
Fantastic helpful and important comparison video. Thank you!!! I personally like the handle better so I chose to buy the Stanley.
The yeti that my company gave me as a Christmas present is the goat of mugs yeti for the win big time brother
The problem with those clear hard plastic lids, as fitted to Yeti, is that the plastic cracks over time, often eventually totally braking apart. I’ve found that the Yeti type cup keeps coffee tolerably warm for four hours. The Stanley I own, which is a straight type, is a true thermos and keeps coffee warm for a couple of hours longer. There are different models of both so my mileage may vary from yours.
The great thing about yeti is, if you need a new lid- just buy one. Don’t like the lid to that yeti bottle you spent $50? It’s not a total loss- buy a different lid- crisis averted. The mag slider on my yeti pops off for 100% easy cleaning. The kids water bottle comes with an extra straw. I have a water bottle, I have the yeti 35oz with the handle and the yeti 20 with mag slider just for hot coffee. I pre charge my yetis for hot or cold to ensure they’re 100% good to go- I haven’t had a warm ice coffee or a cold hot coffee in 3 years. I don’t need any other cups- these are 100% meeting all my needs.
I love my Stanley; I just had to add a boot on the bottom that helps keep it in the holder better and prevents it from getting scratched.
Thanks for a helpful video!
I have an older Yeti without a handle and it doesn't fit a cup holder, but it retains temperature well. It's not dishwasher safe but I've washed it in the top rack and haven't noticed any damage. The lid isn't adjustable nor did it come with a straw. It's stainless steel inside and out. I like it. It was a gift so I don't know its price.
I just got a pink Stanley like yours. I like that it says it is dishwasher safe and the lid had 3 positions, although mine is too hard to rotate so far. It came with a straw and fits a cupholder. I like its handle. I ordered it from amazon for $35 which is list price (30 oz.). I think I'll like it too.
I also have an older large Ozark brand similar to the Yeti. It works well too and has been washed in the top rack of the dishwasher.
Thank you. The 1st review were someone test the cup.👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I picked up an almost identical cup at Walmart as the Stanley and I compare it to the women who have Stanley. I prefer it more. I wish I bought the lavender color when I saw it because I didn’t realize the popularity and now I can’t find it anywhere. Lol
Thats about right, find something you like at walmart and they never stock it again.
I LOVE my Brumate 30 oz tumbler. Does what these tumblers do and does NOT leak.
I loooove the quality of your video! The background, your home is beautiful.
Thanks!
lol, that ozark trail comment at the end killed me. My hubby likes yeti and we have a few cups and two coolers. But my son wants the stanley. he doesn’t ask for much, so maybe i’ll get him one.
Like you I prefer the bold colors of the yeti . I do like the handle on the Stanley more. Over all I like the yeti more it feels more sturdy
Me too
Yeti isn't the standard for cold either. Just another expensive flashy I'm not broke purchase
My stanley thermos cost me 26 Dollars it is a 24 oz probably the best functioning thermos I own, ozark trail tumblers are pretty good too and only 10 bucks. Im going to buy that Stanley tumbler.
The marketing is strong with those cups. I rather save my money and just get a Walmart tumbler. I don't need my drink super cold or super hot for hours. I don't think the $30 price difference makes up for the difference of one degree or so difference over the hours. My mouth won't know the difference.
Thanks Everyday Man..That was great!!
Those are big cups.
Thanks for the upload 🍻
Apparently I have been on Mars. But to answer your question, one of the founders of Yeti is now the CEO at Stanley! He brought all his marketing prowess with him.
I use my big yeti in one of my cup holders so i can put bigger drinks in it that are to big for that cup holder lol helps keep it cold to
My heart broke when I saw the Stanley leaking. 😢 Thank you VERY much for this video.
I picked up that exact Stanley at Target for 35 dollars. It’s great!
On Stanley the cups are actually 45 for 40oz and for 30oz it is 35, so Stanley is cheaper almost so anyway
Yes, I just bought a light pink Stanley 30 oz exactly like the one he has for $35 on amazon. It took it a couple of weeks to arrive though.
It's really all about the preference. I like yeti which is my preference.
Thanks for leting us know Please keep up
I have the exact same YETI in a different color. I just tested it. It does NOT leak at all completely upside down. There's something wrong with yours.
Nice! But we don't have Yeti in my country Indonesia, we only have Corkcicle official store but we do have Stanley sell online pre order 🙄🙄🙄
I prefer Yeti but they need to redesign their handle.
Yeah the handle looks uncomfortable
The new one are better
4 months later, the Stanley is $30.00 on Amazon.
An eight hour test would truly show a winner
If it takes eight hour to drink your not drinking enough lol
Stanley is only good for what they’re known for, closed cap thermos. Haven’t found anything that can compete with Stanley regarding a thermos. Stanley makes pretty crap mugs and tumblers
Really great Video! Very lifelike review!I am a international trader exporting lots of promotional gifts from China, I am going to purchase stanley and yeti to make a comparison with OEM cups here. They looks the same but Really curious about if quality is different.
absolutely different
only the paint job would be bad in both cases - Stanley gets scratches pretty easy, like it's one thin layer of paint
im a huge yeti fan but got my 1st stanley so we will see got it ostly for water but i put everything in my yetis. lol
Muy buena reseña, me sirvió para tomar la decisió de cual thermo comprar. Saludos desde Guatemala, Centro America
I buy BJPKPK for $15 good enough for me
I love my YETI!!
The new yeti tumblers don't have a straw attachment
They do here at least. I just picked one up from Dicks with a straw for Mother’s Day for my wife.
Straws are for chicks. Real guys DO NOT drink from a straw. Wanna get mocked mercilessly ?/?.....drink from a straw guys.
@@rds990 I mean, in all my years on planet earth, I have never heard anyone getting mocked for drinking from a straw 😂
I like my Yeti without the handy for hot drinks and Hydroflask for cold water.
Good review 👍
Thanks!
That’s inaccurate. You used the thermometer right after you dipped it in the yeti, you should have used a different thermometer for the Stanley
138 degrees out of the tap is dangerously hot water.....I am a Yeti guy though....Stanley is nice but in 6 months, they will all be side by side in the stores selling the same
Takeya for me for now. I’ll get a Stanley just to see what the hype is about
I love it Thanks
Great comparison, is there anyway to have the stanley not leak?
No, it just leaks. No leaks from the Yeti though once I turned the top.
In many other videos Yeti remains way hotter for longer. Yeti’s lid here wasn’t completely sealed.
I already own both. Im not going to upgrade to a fancy color, etc.
I'm a Stanley girl. Love the review. And your beard looks 🔥 📛
Thank you!
I see that 1792 in the back 👀 which one is it?
I belive it was just the small batch.
@@EverydayMan good taste bud, good taste 🤌🏼
Yeti was the first to patent this design and technology. Then their patent ran out so Stanley and other companies acquired the patents as well.
The Stanley quencher is not made for hot drinks at least that’s what I’ve heard in reviews
I don’t know about heat, but my yeti seems to keep ice overnight.
They both keep ice for a long time
which one do you find is heavier?
There is no noticeable difference to me.
I cant find this color anywhere :(
How easy is it to get your hand in the Stanley, for cleaning?
I have pretty big hands. They don't fit all the way down.
@@EverydayMan I was afraid of that, thanks!
You can buy a baby bottle cleaner and use that to get to the bottom of the cup to clean it.
Get a bottle brush! They make nice plastic ones that don’t get moldy and stained and gross. It’s a life saver, especially if you have water bottles that you can’t get your hand into. Baby bottle brushes work too, but I like the plastic ones as they’re more sanitary and last longer
Im a yeti dude!
In Europe those tumblers are barely seen ...
They are everywhere in the states.
@@EverydayMan I know , I watch a lot of content from the states . Btw I just ordered my first tumbler 🙃
Because it’s made for car users 😂
I took mine on the train today and to constantly hold it while waiting is really exhausting 😅
(I live in Germany)
do the OZARK Comparison too against these..
I have, it's an older video bit check it out.

Yeti is the best
I know a Louisiana accent when I hear one
For sure!
What is your opinion on the rtic tumblrs?? Do you think it could hold its own with these??
They do, I have reviewed them too.
@@EverydayMan thank you I’ll definitely check out that video I first saw your channel when you had the cooler reviewing series
Will the yeti survive a car fire?
Lol
Intros are for the beginning of your video. 😂😂😂
I've had just as good cups walmart brand.
This ain't a review. Man, RUclips sucks now. Throw them around! Let's see which one truly is built better. People drop their tumblers all the time. How well does the lid stay on? 10 Minutes of blabbing with little substance. 55,000 views for this? LMAO. This is a touchy feely do not want to truly damage anything so you can use it afterwards, versus actually testing something in depth. This should be called, "Yeti vs Stanley: Which One Stays Hotter Longer". That is really the only testing you did.
Dude, then you go pay for those two mugs and throw them around and see which one is better yourself 😬
Am i the only one that Hates handles?
No way they are better than yeti.
I ain’t buying none of them!!! They both leak even a toddlers cup has leak proof for a cheaper price 😂
The yeti doesn't leak. I was told that the latch was backwards.
There is ONLY 1 STANLEY CUP… and this ain’t it
Eightteeee fiiii dullahhhhs 😂
nope
Ppl paying for a brand... plain stupid... if u buy it without a logo it costs like 4 dlls 😂
Quality is different. They corrode
@@Anth230 that is what it costs them to make in bulk lol.
Neither are worth the price.
seems so fucking dumb spending 40-50 bucks on a tumbler just for the different lid style with a magnet... the same factory in china farts out 90% of every stainless steel tumbler you see
The heart wants what the heart wants lol
Only women drink from a straw....so make your choice wisely guys.
The Stanely has a 3-way position lid. You can choose not to use the straw if you don’t want to. 😂
