    If the yeti is leaking from the magnet, then you have it on wrong. Take the magnet slide apart and rotate the bottom bit 180 and that should sort this issue. Hope this helps 🙌

    I own them both. I have to admit I wanted to the hype of the Stanley inside randomly one day at Dick’s Sporting Goods and didn’t want to pass up the opportunity since he seemed impossible to get! It feels good in my hand it keeps my water cold, and it fits in my cupholder, but it leaks. What’s the point if it leaks? I went back to Dick’s Sporting Goods and picked up the yeti you can tip that upside down and not a drop of water will come out, it is now my travel cup my gym cup my water cup my coffee cup, and it’s worth every penny. The Stanley cup will stay in the house.

    People missed an important and key feature from the Yeti that most don’t have.
    The Yeti features a unique twist cap/lid with a distinctive 90-degree close angle. This innovation allows users to precisely position the lid opening during screwing. For instance, if you're right-handed and prefer the lid facing you, align the opening with the handle. Conversely, left-handed users can position the lid opening away from the handle for a user-friendly experience when turning it 90 degrees clockwise.

    The Yeti wins hands down. My daughter has a Hydroflask tumbler thingie, which I think looks very fancy. The fanciest one of the lot to be honest. The Takeya tumbler is pretty neat too. One should note that all these bottles are Dishwasher safe (a big thing for me).

    Being nearly identical in hot/cold, and if you get them off the manufacturers site and then being the same price. One thing to keep im mind is that Stanley has a LIFETIME guarantee, where as the Yeti i believe is only 5 years MAX.

    The problem with those clear hard plastic lids, as fitted to Yeti, is that the plastic cracks over time, often eventually totally braking apart. I’ve found that the Yeti type cup keeps coffee tolerably warm for four hours. The Stanley I own, which is a straight type, is a true thermos and keeps coffee warm for a couple of hours longer. There are different models of both so my mileage may vary from yours.

    • @HelgatheHorriblez
      @HelgatheHorriblez 8 месяцев назад +1

      The great thing about yeti is, if you need a new lid- just buy one. Don’t like the lid to that yeti bottle you spent $50? It’s not a total loss- buy a different lid- crisis averted. The mag slider on my yeti pops off for 100% easy cleaning. The kids water bottle comes with an extra straw. I have a water bottle, I have the yeti 35oz with the handle and the yeti 20 with mag slider just for hot coffee. I pre charge my yetis for hot or cold to ensure they’re 100% good to go- I haven’t had a warm ice coffee or a cold hot coffee in 3 years. I don’t need any other cups- these are 100% meeting all my needs.

    I have an older Yeti without a handle and it doesn't fit a cup holder, but it retains temperature well. It's not dishwasher safe but I've washed it in the top rack and haven't noticed any damage. The lid isn't adjustable nor did it come with a straw. It's stainless steel inside and out. I like it. It was a gift so I don't know its price.
    I just got a pink Stanley like yours. I like that it says it is dishwasher safe and the lid had 3 positions, although mine is too hard to rotate so far. It came with a straw and fits a cupholder. I like its handle. I ordered it from amazon for $35 which is list price (30 oz.). I think I'll like it too.
    I also have an older large Ozark brand similar to the Yeti. It works well too and has been washed in the top rack of the dishwasher.

    seems so fucking dumb spending 40-50 bucks on a tumbler just for the different lid style with a magnet... the same factory in china farts out 90% of every stainless steel tumbler you see

      The Stanely has a 3-way position lid. You can choose not to use the straw if you don’t want to. 😂
