I'm still impressed with mine. I bought a regular 36 ounce Stanley with the cup and a 36 ounce wide mouth for soup in 1981. wouldn't trade them for anything.
The yeti cup is smaller in volume than the stanley(?), so I use the yeti outside, and I use the 64oz stanley inside the house and the 40oz stanley in the office, thanks for the comparison video😊
Good review, bravo! You hit all the points. The "weakest" point on both bottles is, of course, the lids. My favorite hot drink bottle is a Built flip lid. Does not spill and keeps liquids hot and cold. It's a slim size too. I think I hve 20 oz bottles. BUT they are so darn hard to find, which is too bad. I honestly see no reson to have something that can spill in my bag or if I knock it over. Stanley does have an excellent 24 oz screw top with a flip lid. Really keeps water cold. I don't know if you can use it for hot liquids though. We were gifted 2 of those by my Spousal Unit's company. We do have some gifted Yetis (not the ones with the handles) and we do like them a lot. Especially the baby Rambler. I have 4 white ones and a pink one. But they are so darn expensive! I'm glad I was gifted the baby Ramblers!!
I saw a You Tube video last year where some guys in the far North West were in a boat. They said they were going Yeti hunting. Now that was puzzling to me. They said in the video that container ships from China fall over board while traveling to the US. Some of the containers have Yeti coolers in them. They break open and the Yeti coolers wash ashore. He said they ended up picking over 80 $400 Yeti coolers. Someone ask them what were they going to do with them as they looked brand new. He said they were were going to clean them up and give them to friends as Christmas Gifts.
Considering that the 'gist' (to use your word) of the tests showed that both do what they say they are going to do, I think one deciding feature would be what you showed in the last few seconds of the review. That is, the car cupholder. That is, the Yeti is shorter so you would be less likely to bump into it if you try to pick up something else from the console.
I included that part as it is the most important for me. It is hard to find cups to fit standard sized cup holders. I agree with what you said about not bumping into the YETI. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. 😃 👍
Problems with a test like this: -The Stanley is 40oz and the Yeti is 30oz, so the test is flawed from the start; a better test would be against the 42oz Yeti. -A larger cup would bore heat or cold longer because of its greater retention of either hot or cold; the test was made with a 25% diff. -Also, the Yeti has a coffee lid and the Stanley has a stock lid; the former is an upgrade, vs. the stock Stanley. Try a coffee lid on the Stanley and do the test again, see how it pars against the Yeti's magnetic coffee lid.
A lady with a burnt car went viral with half melted almost her front seat and passenger and she had stanley cup left inside with ice still on it!! seriously impressive. go search about it. Stanley got a free commercial and the CEO even reached out to the lasy.
I really want to like the Stanley cups, its always been a well known brand, I just don't like how glamorous and trendy it's become. People go crazy over them and buy them up just to resell them for triple the price online. Same thing happened with the Starbucks cups
I'm people lollllll. Well when they first hit this discord group I'm in........ we flipped a bunch of them. Now I don't bother. Ozark trail from Walmart works the same 😂
@@SR-mh3if The sales went up unintentionally due to a viral video of a lady that saw her car burned and half melted on the inside but with a stanley cup holding on and still have iced left. if it weren't for that, Yeti will still probably be on the top list in people's mind.. but I honestly don't own neither of them.. just the cheap walmart cup. i didn't really need it for 24hrs
I only have a Stanley water bottle for them. All of my tumblers, coffee mugs, other mugs are yeti! I wanna try a Stanley cup! But I’m so yeti locked in.
I got one like the Stanley, without the name. It works great! One of my customers bought it for me on Temu. It was less than $4. I just bought another one and it was free. They give you deals all the time. They keep ice for more than a day. I haven't put them to the same kind of tests that Jeff did, but I'm extremely happy with mine!
I love how the stanley was the cheap knock-off until soccer moms started carrying them... They're oversized and goofy (and only for COLD), I'll stick with Yeti.
I have multiple Yetis and I love them. I love that yetis have so many different types of cups, bottles and such. Stanley only has one type of cup. Yetis for the win for me.
Lol...I was at a sporting good store the other day and it looks as though Stanley has come out with other cups too. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 🙂
I got a yeti didn't like it at all my boyfriend couldn't get his fingers in the handle so he went back to his bubba cup and I did too but now I got a stanley and it seems to be better my daughter has been using stanley cups for 10 years as she works in the medical field so she loves her stanley but they are hard to find

What a missed opportunity... While these mugs clearly do their intended job well, they are made in china and there are countless clones of them made in china as well. Would have been great to see how a >$10 mug does compared to the expensive ones...
I was gifted a really pretty stainless steel tumbler, from a customer of mine. She told me she got it from Temu, online, and she paid less than $4 for it. She bought everyone at her job one. I was wondering how it would do, since I know how much some of these can go for. It was amazing. I fill it with ice, and it's there for more than a day. I left it at home one day, it actually sat there for two days. It was nearly full of ice and water when I left it there. We have a wood burning stove, and we actually had 2 fires going during that 2 days. So I finally remembered to take it to work, and I couldn't believe it. There was still a sliver of ice in it!! I'm very happy with it! I ended up dropping it off the counter at my work, and part of the lid broke off, not really the lid, but that removable part on top of the lid broke a little on one end. I know I can get a replacement lid on Temu, so I'm not stressing lol. I was looking for one the other day, and if you have ever been on the Temu website, they like to give you deals lol. It would be interesting to see the (cold) temperature change with the Stanley straw in since it is almost always used with it.

Both made in the same Chinese factory for about $5. I use a Yeti purely as the lid is easier to operate one handed.

The only consideration would be the base of each cup., the cup holder size in the car and having the cup fit .
