Hi Hubub, I’m taking one for the team. Cheers mate!
@@GentlemensWatchServices I’ll give you a good eulogy 🤣🤣 thanks again
Sir you are a comedy genius and pretty ok with watches to, I salute you!
Hi Andy, cheers mate
Well said, I've just done a video in which I release some power from the spring and the watch starts ticking again. I pointed this out in that video as a curious coincidence. If they are going to crucify you, they will have to come get me as well. Nice video
Perhaps it’s time to take on WOSTEP with Alternative Watchmaking based on homeopathic principles?
I took one of their alumni out for a pint a few weeks ago. We practised some homeopathy by diluting some gin in some tonic, which worked surprising well. You might be on to something.g @@GentlemensWatchServices
I’d have wagered on the mainspring breaking before the stem!
That's where my money was too, I thought the hook would fail first.
Simply brilliant!
Thank you! Cheers!
Excellent and very entertaining video from a watch geek's perspective as usual. Massively underrated channel.. If you were to fix the abruptly ending audio at the end of each line, it would be close perfection by any standard.
Thank you for the lovely words. And you’re right I am massively underrated @youtube sort it out!
Saw it. Watched it. Wound on to the next. All thumbs now.
Hey Ross! Saw you in the Weekend Watch Repair comments, Adam’s really nailing it isn’t he.
@@GentlemensWatchServices Like your videos. A right good watch.
😂😂 I was a believer of the overwound watch, you have enlightened me. Great video.
Marvellous
My experience: when someone has a watch for sale and states it’s overwound->blown balance staff or fouled hairspring.
THANK YOU! 😂 I am so sick of hearing the term “over wound.” It’s absolute gibberish - pure poppycock, I do say! 😜 It’s akin to saying, “that car broke because the gas tank was over-filled”. Well anyway, enough rambling from me, great video as usual GWS!
Exactly! I was going to title the video “Behold, the grand tapestry of untruths woven around the supposed folly of overwinding timepieces! A fanciful concoction, crafted by the imagination's deft hand, yet alas, devoid of veracity.” But it didn’t fit.
Well, i had a watch working last night, wound it, wound it a little more, and the little bugger stopped clicking!
What a rotter!
