I love the subtlety of the Jewel counter😂
Most entertaining watch repair video I’ve seen in a long time.
Excellent! I do enjoy making them.
"Extravagant! And, not in a good way.' - The glue guy, the more I find out about him, the less I like. " (My dad accused my mom of being a glue mechanic. She had a tube of glue for whatever was broken.)
As always bloody brilliant 😁😁👍👍 dude I look forward to your videos …. Fast becoming one of my favourites.
Thank you for the lovely support. 'see you' Tuesday on Chronoglide I trust?
@@GentlemensWatchServices you certainly will 😁 ‘see you’ Tuesday too 😂😂
Excellent good sir. Educational yet extremely entertaining 👍
Thank you so much.
love the patter. keep it up
Thank you! Cheers!
In rotor baring is 6 or 7 jawels balls
The Too-Much-Glue Guy was indeed a naughty dog! Nicely done video, I never knew how prevalent these movements were. 😁
😀I didn't either, 4th after Seiko, Citizen and Orient...who knew?
🤣funny Mike!
Well, according to the dial, there's a lot of missing jewels ! Very interesting video!😊🇨🇦
As a new addict and enthusiast, love the commentary.
Thank you for the lovely words, and welcome to the addicted enthusiasts group.
Facinated throughout! 🤩
Thanks Chris
Well Vostok Amphibias have 31 jewels and the GMT models 32.
a bit like watching the hitchers guide, except it's a watch service as opposed to galaxy stuff,
works for me
Beautiful. Thank you.
If it's made like a Vostok Amphibia automatic a fair number of the jewels are in the sprag clutches for the automatic winding mechanism.
I have a Ricoh Dynamic auto 33 jewels, interesting nonetheless
Hilarious ... look forward to the next , & sound advice re; dressing drivers , makes a world of difference .
Thank you Ted
Ha ! I laughed out loud when you described the time between when you put in the yoke spring and put on the setting lever spring as 'waiting for it to explode ' ..... Ha Ha ..... Great stuff !!!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Way to go GWS! Great work, and your narration had me cracking up 🤣. I love me some good watch content that doesn't take itself too seriously -- subbed! 🍻
Hey AWD, thanks mate.
I love your videos bro 😂
Cheers mate
That jewel counter... was already annoying at number 3 LOL!
I’m still furious about it 😀
Nice that the glue had dried to a crisp.
I didn't know John Malkovich was a watchmaker. Jk great video!
Thank you. Which one though…Air America Malkovich or Burn Before Reading Malkovich?
30 jewels hahahah last one i got 30 they put it in the circle in the middle funny this is not that bad ....
Most I’ve seen was 42. It was very silly.
Most entertaining annnd educational! Unheard of!
Thank you Mike
Your voice is recognizable Mr Peter Otoole.
It's a story as old as time. Famous actor fakes their death, lays low for 10 years, then re-emerges as a little known RUclips watchmaker.
I have a WALTHAM 100 Jewel watch!
An infamous villain in the Jewel Wars! Based on a 17 jewel movement with 83 non-functional jewels put around the outside of the movement in a ring.
Nice job.Keep it up.All the best.
Thank you Sia, I will 😀
Gave up due to the honks
Don’t blame you. No way I’m using that technology again. Lessons have been learned.
I knew where the additional 9 jewels were going to be found. Ruby balls are actually worse that steel ones as they are more brittle and prone to chipping.
Genius!
Very astute comment. Thank you.
Whoever worked on this watch must have also worked on the Ricoh I have on my bench! So much glue!
Cant believe they had any glue left for another watch.
