no way you are a 4310 guy with a backhoe and didn't mention the backhoe attachment plates coming loose and the rear axle tunnels cracking!

I wanted to recalibrate my 4410 and after putting the fuse back and starting the tractor 3 different error codes keep cycling. Forward pedal, back pedal and throttle. Is this normal and can you help me fix it. Should I try and recalibrate the pedals one by one regardless? Thank you.

Sure I can help. Did you get through any of the recalibrate/relearn steps? When your in recalibrate/relearn mode the code for the sensor that’s next will flash. I have a video on the process with a 4210. Same process for the 4410.

@@darrenmas I did not try any recalibration steps. I was under the impression that blinking codes do not cycle all the time. Rather that it blinks one error and only after I clear it the sequence changes to the next in line error.

How about the fuel gauge. Thanks for the video

    What an immaculately maintained machine!
I *hate hate hate* the cheap plastic panels.
That relay box is ridiculously overpriced.
What about the brakes? One of the springs on mine broke only a few years in. I treat the brakes like a last resort emergency option - it's sad.
I wish I had the backhoe.

Thanks, totally agree, the plastic panels are terrible. Backhoe is really nice to have. You could probably find a good used one with mounting plates for about 3500. Definitely recommend it 👍🏻

@@darrenmas ! That would be a great deal!
I lucked onto a '74 big JD backhoe for around $7500, which was nice for digging out a big stump and some other big work, but I more often need smaller dig stuff like putting in a hydrant for irrigation etc.
I will definitely look into it. I plan to get my use out of the big yellow backhoe and sell it. I can use the proceeds on exactly that.
My 4310 won't start as of yesterday. I checked the first fuse and the fuse fell apart with one leg broken flush with the panel. I should have known something was up when the day before, the lights wouldn't turn on. Time for some serious maintenance.

@@KenWeston nice the construction grade JDs are indestructible beasts. For the 4310 no start due to dirty relay contacts is really common. Wiggle the relays one by one with the key in start position and you’ll find the one that needs to be cleaned. Just pull it and wire brush it down and then apply some electrical grease to it. That is usually it.

@@darrenmas Well, that fuse that broke was blown. I definitely believe the relay is the culprit. My top project today.
Do you have a preferred vendor for replacement panels?

I usually just go for the cheapest aftermarket panels I can find. They all break eventually. Usually ebay/amazon and then search for the panel part numbers. Sides are LVU10564 (RH) and LVU10565 (LH).
