The monarchy also don’t pay their way via tourism, as any royal attractions have to be payed for and maintained by the taxpayer, profits for which barely scratch the sides compared to their upkeep and security cost.

I, as a foreigner, look with admiration at the monarchy in UK. They might not be elected but they are brought up since birth to be the embodiment of the values of one's country so they might be more prepared for their position than the PM is for his. In general I think monarchy is a good and even necessary thing, one's country soul ,while politicians are its mind. The participation of both in one's country destiny makes it more powerful and resilient. As history has shown us. As for this little noisy lady, I just feel she has not thought the subject enough and thus has not formed a clear opinion yet. She contradicts herself twice in the space of 2 sentences. I would like to see Morgan invite more rigorous people with fully formed opinions - this is an interesting and important subject.
